Khan Academy is a versatile platform that caters to a wide range of user needs. Users have the freedom to choose any topic or subject they want to learn, whether it's for personal interest or work-related purposes. Many individuals utilize the platform to enhance their financial management skills, learning about finance in an accessible and comprehensive manner. Others leverage Khan Academy to expand their computer science skills, making themselves more marketable in the job market.

For students, Khan Academy serves as a helpful resource in understanding difficult math lessons and concepts. It provides explanations and practice exercises that reinforce their understanding and boost their confidence. Additionally, Khan Academy is widely used within organizations for quick training, answering questions, and learning new things.

One area where Khan Academy excels is in teaching SQL – the lessons are easy to follow and interactive, allowing users to learn at their own pace. In the insurance industry, Khan Academy fills the gap for training teams when sudden product or legislation updates occur. The platform presents information in a light and easy-to-absorb manner, making complex topics more approachable.

Moreover, Khan Academy is highly regarded as a valuable resource for learning various technical and scientific subjects beyond math and finance. It covers coding, personal finance, and many other topics while offering various ways for users to engage with the course material. Students often revisit previous material or use it as supplemental instruction, benefiting from the wide range of subjects covered.

Not limited to students alone, employees also benefit from Khan Academy by up-skilling their skill set daily. This is especially important for customer-facing employees who need to cater to different customer needs effectively and improve overall customer experience. Organizations also use Khan Academy to improve the knowledge base of their staff members, particularly within the learning and development department.

In conclusion, Khan Academy's extensive course offerings meet diverse learning needs across various domains. Its versatility makes it a valuable tool for both individuals striving for self-improvement and organizations aiming to enhance the skills and knowledge of their employees.

Good Structure: Many users have praised the platform for its well-structured layout, which allows them to pace themselves while learning. The platform's structure has been commended for its effectiveness in facilitating a comfortable learning experience.

Clear Explanations: Reviewers appreciate that the platform provides clear and concise explanations of the learning objectives at each step. This feature has proven helpful in guiding users through their learning journey and ensuring they understand the concepts being taught.

Detailed Training Videos: Users highly value the detailed training videos provided by the platform. These videos offer comprehensive instruction and serve as valuable resources for enhancing their understanding of various topics.

Missing Embedded Video Links: Some users have expressed frustration as they encountered video links that are not embedded in the webpage, making it difficult for them to access the content seamlessly.

Lack of Refinement in User Interface: Reviewers have mentioned that while the user interface is easy to use, it lacks refinement compared to other platforms like Lynda, which can affect the overall user experience.

Difficulty Finding Relevant Adult Learning Courses: Users have found it challenging to find relevant adult learning courses on the platform as there is a strong focus on K-12 learning. This limitation could be improved by expanding the range of available courses for adult learners.

Users commonly recommend the following:

Khan Academy is a great tool that we use to freshen up on old topics and learn brand new topics. We will continue to use Khan Academy, and we hope it will improve the knowledge base of our staff. That is the focus of our use of Khan Academy at this time.
  • E-learning
  • Exposure to new topics
  • Expanding knowledge
  • Better organization of topical areas
  • More business topics
  • More interactive videos
Khan Academy is great for people of all ages and experience levels to learn something new or do freshen up on old topics. It is also very adaptable to individual needs, and can be used in a variety of settings. On the other hand, if you are looking for something more comprehensive and specific, Khan Academy may not be right for you.

This platform has help me get educated in a variety of different areas. I have used this platform when ever I needed help in math class in college and it really allowed me to grasp each lesson that I had a hard time understanding. Khan Academy is a great way for students to practice any course materials.

Khan Academy is very well suited for any student in college, high school, and middle school. There are many fields and majors that they touch on and you can basically use Khan Academy for any of your educational needs. I definitely relied on it for many of my college classes.

In the insurance industry changes come fast, in order to adapt we require innovative adult learning platforms to aid our training teams. We are often faced with sudden product or legislation updates which require training across the entire sales floor. We have tested several adult learning platforms to date. In my personal experience I found Khan Academy could fill this gap. The information is presented in a light and easy-to-absorb manner.
  • Adult learning.
  • User engagement.
  • Information is presented in an easy to digest manner.
  • Visuals can become confusing at times.
  • Ability to jump through lessons with easy back and forth for review
For larger projects, product changes, legislation updates, Khan Academy makes it easy to transfer information in an easy-to-digest manner. The software works really well with adult learning as it keeps users engaged in quick bite-sized lessons. It's more appropriate for larger changes and bigger implementations. It's less appropriate for smaller projects, or minor changes/updates, where quick training sessions would suffice.

Khan Academy is a very good portal for learning mathematical concepts and other important technical and scientific knowledge. I have spent quite a long time on Khan Academy while studying Physics in high school and for calculus in college, and have recommended it to several of my undergraduate friends and juniors.
  • Detailed explanations
  • Intuitive diagrams
  • Rigorous math
  • Easier to navigate
  • Search functionality
  • More examples
I used it a lot in high school when I was studying Physics. It has detailed explanations on every topic, with illustrative figures, but it does not skimp on the rigorous math required to truly understand the concept. They have a great Calculus section as well, which was very helpful when I was struggling with Calculus in college.

Revise basics of mathematics that are useful for my job and I’ve forgot about
  • Short explanation right to the point
  • Quizz are helpful and simple enough to be complete quickly
  • Lot of contents
  • On my iPad, to change the language of Khan, I need to change the language of my iPad in the settings
  • It can be a bit messy and the category are a bit too generic, not enough per level category
  • Sometimes the quizz are too simple, it would be nice to have an extra difficult one as a bonus
You forgot a notion, so you search for it, read the material, complete the quiz and you are good to go

I'm not sure this would be a replacement for math class, as there might not be enough in-depth exercise to allow to understand the notions. But it's a great help for me.

Khan Academy is an excellent resource. We use it internally for quick training, answering questions, figuring out odd issues, or just learning something new when things are slow. The lessons are easy to follow and usually interactive, especially for things like SQL learning. Our favorite feature of the tool is its price: free!
  • The UI is great and easy to use.
  • There is a broad selection of courses, subjects, and instructors.
  • The classroom integration option is awesome.
  • While the UI is easy to use, it is quite simple, meaning it doesn't seem as refined as something like Lynda.
  • Since there is a big focus on K-12 learning, it is sometimes difficult to find relevant adult learning courses.
  • I would like at least one or two specialized courses in each subject. For example, in world history, it would be nice to see a specialized course in Europe.
Khan Academy is a great supplement for things you already have learned, or as a mid-level course (versus a deep dive or high school/university level course). It is great for a paced learning environment if you want to casually refresh yourself on a subject or learn something new. I don't think this should be a replacement for structured learning, or if you struggle in self-paced learning environments. There have been times I would like to have been able to ask a professional (like an instructor) when struggling with a subtopic, which is possible in a classroom setting.

We are using it to learn new skills. It is not a mandated use, but everyone can jump in to expand their knowledge on anything work-related or not. We got the freedom to choose whatever topic or subject that we want to learn. Some of my coworkers are using it to learn more about their finance and how to manage that. I prefer to expand my computer science skills.
  • Has a very good structure to pace yourself
  • Explains very well what are you going to learn at every step
  • Some of the video links are not embedded in the webpage.
It is excellent if you want to learn the basics when it comes to coding languages and computer science stuff. But if you are looking for a well more in-depth experience, it's better if you enroll in a coding camp or take in-person courses to interact with your classmates.

I use Khan Academy in a very diverse set of ways. I take classes to beef up my knowledge of math and economic principals to solve real world problems in supply and demand. I use Khan academy to make me more effective in my use of computer software such as excel for data modeling in my organization and to make myself more marketable in the jobs market.
  • Detailed training videos
  • Great practice questions
  • Detailed analysis of problems and answers
  • I would like to see the lessons beefed up and made longer
  • Tie in more real world examples from industries
  • Add more work related functions and certifications
Khan academy is well suited as a homeschooling aid for students. Khan Academy serves as a cost effective solution for parents to help their children learn concepts taught in school and to reinforce learning they might be struggling with. Because Khan academy is free for users it is great at democratizing education. I would suggest diving into certifications for the workforce..excel, economics, supply chain, as well as offering real life high school classes such as AP classes. This could be a great way to expand the offerings and bring real value to users of Khan.

it is many used in our organisation for educating the interested folks, mainly in the learning and development department.
It is mainly used to up-skill the employees skill set on a daily basis. This helps employees, especially the customer facing employee to cater to different customer customer, especially when we at our organisation talk about customer 360 experience
  • Concepts explained easily
  • pictorial representation of the concepts
  • self paced learning
  • more experience faculty
  • some off site/ online sessions once in a quarter to motivate learners
  • easy integration
best Suited: When you do not want to have a personal tutor and then khan academy has this amazing offerings for you all, especially during covid time, where they were not schools and everything including learning went virtual

Less Appropriate: less human intervention, that students miss and they become slave of the device

Khan Academy is fantastic for supplemental instruction of course material and revisiting of previous material learned, especially in the high school setting. It's free access makes it special, but it is also of a high quality. There are many ways to interact with the course material from completing a whole course in order, mastery tests to determine what you need to learn and specific help with specific topics. They also cover just about any topic need in some way, in addition to helpful life skills like coding and personal finance. It is usually recommended to students through academic support or tutoring. Other individual professors may suggest its use on a case-by-case basis.
  • User experience and navigation.
  • Short videos that are clear and easy to understand.
  • Breadth and depth of information.
  • Expand info for younger kids.
  • Expand college level offerings.
  • The videos could be more visually dynamic.
In a college setting, it's great for supplemental help on lower-level subjects or a refresher on high school subjects. I recommend it to my freshmen in "welcome to college" type of course. In K-12, it can serve as supplemental instruction (teachers can create lesson plans for their students) as a good way to differentiate and bring in technology. It can also be great to recommend at home. I believe in its power enough that it could be a primary vehicle for homeschooling through at least 8th grade and maybe into high school.
