Klaviyo helps to streamline customer outreach initiatives while aligning automation across various applications. It keeps everything organized and streamline in an easy and user-friendly interface.

Klaviyo is an amazingly simple tool for email marketing and increasing customer engagement, but it falls short on API integrations and predictive sentiment.

We use Klaviyo for email marketing. It helps drive customer retention and certainly helps keep our clients familiar with our brand. Here we can offer our loyal fans discounts, updates on new releases, and all other kinds of cool stuff! They are a fast-growing and successful company for a reason. We plan to stick with them while we scale as well.

Klaviyo is best suited if you want to send your customers a coupon or discount code. Even more so if you're rewarding loyal customers because it's truly hard to get a customer to take out their credit card and purchase from you online. Once they do that, make sure they stick around! Klaviyo will be right there with you for that!

Klaviyo is a great solution for our ecommerce business as it allows us to stay in contact with customers and build relationships with them. We are able to segment into specific or general lists and give personalised emails to our subscribers. We use it for both campaigns (one off emails) and flows which allow us to target people when they first sign up, remind them of their interest when they leave a cart abandoned or anything else we can think of!

  • The image quality you are able to upload can be a bit low, would love crisper GIFs and images to be allowed to upload
  • Easier way to clean up and clear out inactive users
  • Two way data sync between Klaviyo and Shopify (tags and such) as I believe it is a one way system as of now
Klaviyo is really built for converting so if you are sending informational content either to your subscribers or internal comms, it is better to look elsewhere. If you send an email of this kind, people will not click and purchase and it will bring down your overall analytics to seem like your click-through, purchase values, etc. rates are low. Klaviyo is great however at flows and getting people engaged when they first subscribe or take certain actions (browse abandonment, cart abandonment, welcome series, etc.)

Klaviyo makes Customer Segmentation simple and easy. I appreciate that I can access Customer Data without asking for Data Science resources or a dedicated analyst. Klaviyo is not as robust of a tool for Enterprise users with many different data sources and silos across a global organization.

We use it for automated flows for promotions and new customers. We also send email and SMS Campaigns for new product launches, customer service, and some testing for our products. We use it to send customers notifications about new launches in our shop, promotions, and special discounts. We use it to service more than 50,000 subscribers to our mailing list on a weekly basis.

It's awesome for creating automated SMS flows for promotions and email campaigns are a breeze. We use quite a lot as well to create tests with different groups of customers. Sometimes it's hard to create the design for email campaigns and you have to fiddle a bit with HTML content, especially for images but it's always manageable for the team.

  • Help section - this needs a bit more detail. Typically I end up searching Google to find information on using Klayvio because the help section of the website lacks detail and can be hard to understand
It is well suited to understanding cohort behavior. It is not appropriate for understanding behavior of the entire email list or finding a general answer. For example, I can average the days between purchases of a cohort, but I can't find that same data point for the full email list. That information is useful because it allows me to report to my senior management and investors on the overall health of the business, not just a small group.

We use Klayvio for multiple reasons! We use it in our welcome flows, our win-back opportunities, our customer thank-yous, and beyond. We also use it to share new products, specific content, and a weekly various content-based email.

Our company uses Klaviyo for all of our eCommerce email marketing and SMS marketing. The platform has all of the tools needed to build out great marketing campaigns as well as automated email flows, including a drag and drop editor, robust segmentation options, 3rd-party integrations, and more. The Shopify integration is simple to set up and delivers real-time data to support the strategy for this channel.

The 3rd-party integrations are fairly robust and include popular Shopify app extensions. We use Klaviyo to keep in touch with our customer base. As a direct-to-consumer brand, we aim to always remain top of mind for when our customers are ready to make a purchase. This is especially important as we sell uniforms that are frequently replenished. Klaviyo allowed us to segment our customer base of 20,000 users to deliver the content they've opted into at the rate they requested while also integrating with our rewards program through Shopify to always let our customers know if they have a points balance. Email is our largest source of revenue, and we would not remain in business without a powerful tool for emailing (and now SMS as well).

The perfect email platform for e-commerce. We use Klaviyo to support our e-commerce marketing efforts. We are a small team, but Klaviyo allows us to have a big impact. It seamlessly integrates with Shopify, makes automating marketing actions simple, and allows us to quickly and easily build great emails and forms. Adding SMS support was a major plus, as well.

It'd be nice to be able to specify the property names for each external form field, or a custom keyword to insert those property values in emails.
In my mind, Klaviyo is best suited for e-commerce marketing. Using it for B2B style marketing could be tricky. That said, it is very flexible and could be used in a similar way to Salesforce or HubSpot, but those platforms' more robust CRM capabilities make them better suited for B2B marketing uses.

Klaviyo is an excellent software that allows us to build lists and segments to effectively target customers who we think will respond best to different campaigns and flows. Love everything about it.

We use Klaviyo for all of our email marketing campaigns, flows, and SMS marketing. We used to use Mailchimp before switching over to Klaviyo and we did so because we weren't getting enough of a robust solution with Mailchimp. We really wanted to be able to start a great abandoned cart flow and when we started using Klaviyo we realized that this was just the beginning of what we'd be able to do.

  • Customer support once onboarding is complete. I was under the impression we'd have someone on the growth team making recommendations to us about ways to improve our ROI.

Klaviyo has been an amazing tool for us to help grow our business. We have captured so much lost revenue by setting up flows within the platform. For anyone looking to take their email marketing to the next level, Klaviyo is an amazing option and I would highly recommend it. It is pricier than tools like Mailchimp, so if you're just starting out, you may not have the budget for something like this right at the beginning.

Great for email marketing in general. We've not touched on many of the features, but are fully satisfied. SMS needs work.
Email campaigns are fairly intuitive, but there are plenty of places for improvement. We have to cut/paste tons of links for Shopify Collections, and that should be baked in for Button options. Resending is a kludge. Should be a simple slide option to resend to non-openers after x hours or whatever instead of changing dynamic lists all the damn time.

Very happy with Klaviyo. The product is easy to use and navigate. It doubles as a CRM & ESP in one for us. We are about to create pretty robust segments and flows based on past customer data. We are very satisfied and I would definitely recommend it.

Klaviyo is useful if you want to monetize an existing list or capture emails of those who land on your site. Companies spend so much money on paid ads, etc to bring users to the website, and Klaviyo can drive that final purchase. Templates and reporting are a bit weak. Their SMS could also use some improvements.

We utilize Klaviyo for campaign sends and automated flows. Our abandoned cart and replenishment flows are extremely helpful in regaining and retaining customers and sales.

Though waiting in a live chat could take a while depending on the day and time, in any instance, I've spoken with a customer service representative they have been so clear and helpful! I would recommend Klaviyo solely on their customer service value which is incredible. Sending so many campaigns can really get cluttered, so organizationally it could improve on UX.

The marketing department uses Klaviyo, as well as customer service in some instances. We use it for sales emails, newsletters, customer interactions, and notifications. It uses integrations with Shopify, Recharge, and Yotpo and has been great for retargeting past and new customers. Definitely helpful with keeping in touch with our database without a need to constantly manage it with the use of flows.

It does well for us as a small/medium size company. Their support is great and the price point is manageable. I do believe it could be better at giving insights and analytics as well as being able to separate the revenue sources as it tends to over attribute, but I do believe it has made the overall customer interaction/experience much better.
Their support is always quick and we have recurring meetings with our advisor. they were great when we first started at walking us through the platform and helping us understand how to do the overall setup. They also have a wide variety of articles that cover must issues in a very clear manner that will get you out of a predicament really fast.
The only reason why I did not give it a 10/10 is that it cannot distinguish purchases that came through subscription recharges instead of purchases that were driven directly by email sends. Other than that, the automation qualities, design features, and segmentation options make this an incredible email platform, and I am very happy with it.

Klaviyo helps us managing campaigns and email automations. It has an easy to use email template designer, which is well integrated with email flows. We also heavily use the custom properties in user profile with segments to accurately target customers. With Klaviyo, we can setup marketing strategies up front and it will do what we want at the right time!

If you have many customers and you are trying to email a specific group of people (e.g. those who purchased product A in recent weeks), you may make use of custom properties to save this information in Klaviyo and then use segment to create a user group. As the segment is dynamic, the same user can enter the segment many times as long the rules are matched, this is very helpful for birthday offers or upsell. Overall, I am satisfied with the features Klaviyo provides to us, I would hope they can provide more features via API and allow us to export user data via API - for reporting purposes.

My agency provides Klaviyo as the exclusive tool for email and sms marketing. We assist our customers in building an engage brand following by launching and educating them on delightful and engaging, user-first email content and SMS messaging. We audit their platforms, migrate if necessary, and develop subscription journeys and automated delivery flows based on customer interaction data.

Where other platforms target a broad spectrum starting with blog and influencer audiences, Klaviyo really does eCommerce well, and tools are honed to focus on that. Marketers get the first-party interaction data they need, customer service gets to view the customer journey and history, and sales gets to back great campaign ideas with good research.

Klaviyo is my platform for all things email, SMS, and lead gen. It's pretty obvious that email and SMS play huge roles in increasing customer LTV for businesses, so I won't even go into that part. My problem was finding the RIGHT platform. I've hopped from Mailchimp to Drip, to ActiveCampaign, to Omnisend, to ConvertKit, and now finally Klaviyo. None of the other platforms really met my needs very well, or they'd only do one thing really well while leaving out a bunch of other useful features. This is why I love Klaviyo. It seems to have everything. The segmentation is great, the flow builder is amazing, the integration with Shopify and apps is awesome, and now that they've added SMS, I can do both from one platform. One thing I REALLY love about Klaviyo is the fact that emails and SMS messages inflows can be segmented individually. You don't have to do an if/else branch or flow filter. You can add a filter to individual messages, which makes my life a million times easier. Although one thing that I will say needs improvement is SMS deliverability, especially for lead gens. When customers input their phone number for a discount code, I'd like the text to be delivered instantly. This happens with SMS platforms like Attentive and Postscript, but Klaviyo seems to take 2-3 minutes, which in the world of e-commerce is huge. Besides that, I don't see myself switching platforms anytime soon.

  • SMS delivery needs to be quicker.
  • SMS side of things leaves a lot to be desired.
  • Popups are pretty basic and could be more customizable.
I will always recommend Klaviyo to eCommerce brands that tend to be on Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, etc. I probably wouldn't recommend it for SaaS companies as for deeper integration with your custom software you might want to go with an email API instead. It has a deeper learning curve than something like Mailchimp, but the potential is so much higher than I would recommend learning it from the get-go.
