Laserfiche is well suited to the submission of simple routine reports to create a record repository. We use it for routine transport reports, audit reports, and anonymous citizen complaints. It creates a simple chronological record of routine events that can be reviewed and easily stored and recalled. Because the reports are in PDF format, it is not well suited to anything that needs to be imported into a common database or amended after submission.

It seems Laserfiche is the best of the market in its segment

It is a super digital store for our working process that accelerates the whole journey with features like scanning, approval, submission, etc that eradicate the unwanted process that causes the slowdown in our work from point of documentation. Creating web form processes and reports is amazing that gives huge value to our enterprise.

It is a feature-rich Web interface that does not require any software to be installed, maintained, or updated at the workstation level. I really like this thing. The security part is also very overwhelming, particularly the built-in auditing solution for security and compliance. I do feel, that company is particularly new, and they are still working on the Support end, They can surely work on their Customer Support a little more. For that aspect, it is less appropriate.

Laserfiche is not the software we need.

Our biggest complaint about Laserfiche is that it requires a VPN for us to access it offline. The cost to have it in the cloud is more than twice what It would cost us to switch to the PO system offered with our financial management software.

Laserfiche is a great software for uploading and retaining documents. Once the software has been utilized, it is easily able to upload documents and retrieve them. However, the software is not very user-friendly off the bat. If someone has no experience with the software, it can be very intimidating to use. There are a lot of hidden features that users may not know about unless they have utilized the online resources. The desktop and web clients are different and have different capabilities. Often times, you can be taught one thing in the desktop that cannot be done in the web client (for example, OCRing current documents within the repository).
