Managing pipeline and candidate communication is easy through lever. Keeping it all in one place allows the hiring teams to be in the loop real-time. The reporting is clunky and basic, however, and without a 3rd party tool, sourcing from the lever database is difficult. Also, it is very easy to have duplicate candidates since the alerts Lever gives are often incorrect.

Lever really is a user friendly application. It is very intuitive. I like that I can make notes within a candidates file and tag other members of management to view the resume/application without having to download everything and send in an email. Also, any emails to and from the candidate are synced which is a good way to track correspondence. We are a small volume hiring company, but I think a lot of the features would be put to great use by a larger company than ours.

Our organization is growing rapidly at this moment and this tool is a huge improvement from what we previously used. This tool is essential for our organization because of how fast we're growing. Our HR team loves how they can keep notes on people who are applying. They love the improved communication with hiring managers and great reporting which has led to an improved experience. We also love the ease of use for referring candidates.

Lever is well suited for fast growing startups who are actively hiring. For larger organizations Lever might not have all the granular control which they might be looking for from a platform like this.
Since Lever is easy to setup and has great implementation support, it adds to the fact that smaller companies can take advantage of this.

Great if you are a big company with loads of money to spend on service to support your efforts. Must have low expectations of how it will help you find better talent. Make sure you have an in-house Lever tech person to help you as [in my experience] you won't get much help from their support team.

Lever is a good applicant tracking system. It suits a majority of our needs at the Hub Project. It is inexpensive, effective, and efficient. If your organization has money to spend, however, then I would recommend Greenhouse because they are better and have more advanced features and functions. Although, you get your bang for your buck with Lever.

Lever is a great collaboration tool for the entire talent acquisition process. Human resources, recruiters and hiring managers can all participate in candidate evaluation from the same tool to provide feedback and workflow management. If your company struggles to manage all of this data used during the hiring process, than Lever would be a perfect fit for you.

I feel like it gets the job done--allowing employees at scale to refer their friends, get them in the system, and track their progress. If a company is in hyper growth mode and the recruiting team is needing some help/wanting to open up the talent pool, Lever gets the job done!

[Lever is] well suited to manage interview campaigns, provide feedback on applicants, and track your progress. Great integration to other business tools we use like Outlook and LinkedIn. It is awesome to be able to look at different stages and see your pipeline clearly.

The calendar app could be better. Many people get confused when they try to choose a time because the time zones are not clear. Also, It would be nice if you could set an automatic buffer between interviews.

Lever is perfect for early recruiting processes and can also be utilized by more seasoned teams for internal interviews as well! It may be less appropriate for other HR processes like emails, schedules, and presenting offers when actually extending the opportunity to take a position at our company.

If you are an organization that is looking to consolidate, organize the recruitment process -- Lever tool is definitely for you. On the other hand, if it's a smaller company, you would have to invest a lot since someone needs to maintain the configuration of the recruitment process and it might be tedious.

Lever works well for our organization's needs, wouldn't be necessary for small biz, but it is great to manage hiring and interviewing for our company.

Lever is good as an introductory hiring management solution where you start receiving 50 - 100 applications for a position. It works well with a smaller number of candidates and when there are fewer people involved in the process. Once you start getting several hundred people into the system and you are implementing things like SSO, which most enterprise companies use, things become very complicated and can get messed up very easily.

If you're looking to build a predictable recruitment funnel, Lever is a great way to build some solid foundation that will scale with your recruitment team. We hit the ground running quickly with minimal human resources and built a funnel that managed hundreds of candidates across multiple positions on multiple continents, and now we're in a great place to hire a full-time recruiter to take that foundation and scale it up for our next 50 hires.

Lever is for the true recruiter who needs their ATS to be a single source of truth but can be a bit dogmatic, whereas Greenhouse is for someone who has a lot of time on their hands to work on feature/function customizations. Also, CRM capabilities are included in your core Lever package, in comparison to Greenhouse, who is now charging talent teams PER seat for CRM capabilities they consider be ancillary.

For growing companies that need to move from manual candidate tracking or provide a way to get feedback from interviewers in a central location, this is a good potential solution. If you are looking for something that takes a more quantitative approach to recruiting, the way we were set up wouldn't work very well. It seems to be a strictly qualitative evaluation based solution.

I can't think of a scenario where it wouldn't be appropriate. I have used a number of ATS systems and I think LEVER has one of the better reporting and analytics functions. It would be less pleasant to use if hiring managers and interviewers were less cooperative in a self-service model.
