We use LinkedIn [Talent Solutions] across the whole organization, as staffing company, mainly for the recruitment department (either to find new candidates or to follow daily with our consultants) but also but the sales department to find new prospect.
It gives us an easy way to communicate with candidates. Having the Linkedin app helps also a lot.
Most candidates are now on linkedin, even if not all profiles are present.
  • Confidentially of the profiles seen when you use Recruiter
  • Many search filters (although it depends on what the candidates have completed)
  • Help center easily accessible, chat not always opened but very helpful to solve an issue quickly
  • Have the full content of the message received on linkedin (basic) when we receive an email notification.
  • Propose related research to those already conducted
  • Filter the notifications by theme because depending on the size of our network we can receive a lot of them
LinkedIn Talent Solutions is the best way to search & find qualified candidates.
For profiles with fewer qualifications, there is often little information filled in by the candidates (only job titles) and it takes a lot more phone screening to find the candidate with all the required skills.

The saved searches are really convenient and help us to easily expand our network of candidates.

Talent Solutions is currently being used for recruitment purposes. We post jobs and actively search for candidates through our recruiter profiles. The only team using the tool is people operations, a total of 5 people. And it is definitely our most important, quick, and volume generator sourcing tool. The hired vs applications rates are not the best but definitely the best option in the market.

  • Finally, using it as a recruitment platform. It still lacks integrations and smooth features to be the preferred tool for this.

Also, consider the profiles you are looking for, as colleagues have tried these tools in the past for very operational roles and it wasn't suited. If you are looking for business, marketing, technology, digital and specialized profiles this is your tool! Active sourcing is their best feature. You can search and filter qualified talent in a sec.

I am an HR department of one, which means I am the sole recruiting manager as well. LinkedIn Talent Solutions is my primary source for reaching passive candidates, as well as posting job ads on a pay-per-click basis.
  • It's easy to create and save candidate searches
  • LinkedIn Talent Solutions is by far the best source of potential candidates, both in quantity and quality
  • Easy to use, intuitive UX
  • The cost is significant, especially for the more robust options
  • You can't easily collaborate with team members unless they have a license as well
  • Support tickets can take awhile to resolve, I've had one (bug with spend tracking) that took 2 months to resolve
LinkedIn Talent Solutions is one of the only recruiting sources I rely on for quality candidates. It's clear that it is the largest network of professional candidates, which lets me feel confident that I'm using my recruiting budget wisely. I appreciate that there are multiple options to choose from to suit a variety of companies/budgets, and there is true value in LinkedIn Talent Solutions as an investment, however even the most inexpensive option could still be too pricey for smaller companies.

I use LinkedIn Recruiter in my department to uncover talent for open jobs I have with my clients. I am an executive search consultant for a business management consulting firm. I am solely responsible for finding candidates for our client. I am able to pinpoint specific candidates who match the requirements I'm looking for, in the geographic location I am searching in, as well as organize the candidates and reach out to them in a very organized fashion.

LinkedIn Talent Solutions is best suited for higher-level, more professional roles in contrast to lower-level assembler, production roles for candidates. I have found that the lower level candidates don't have LinkedIn profiles, so there's no sense in posting on LinkedIn for these roles. LinkedIn Talent Solutions is our go-to for the sweet spot roles that we hire for!

LinkedIn Talent Solution is used by our companies recruiters[,] a team of more than 50+ Recruiters starting from freshers to the experienced[.] IT and Non-IT fields [within] our company use LinkedIn Talent Solution to source new and right candidates as per the job description. The business problem that we as a company [are] facing is in the recruitment for our clients[.] [It] used to be done through college/ job fair/ events but due to Lockdown and pandemic the entire process [changed] [so] we have started using LinkedIn Talent Solution[.] [We] have also started seeing the results out of this which we can compare [to] our earlier process and we have noticed that after using LinkedIn Talent Solution we are able to find more appropriate candidates across the locations.

We use LinkedIn Talent Solutions on a daily basis for IT recruiting. It's the sourcing tool that we primarily use within our team. We use other resume posting sites and job boards, but we spend 75% or more of our time on LinkedIn Talent Solutions. It's the best for the IT recruiting space because we can contact both active and passive candidates in the IT market. It allows us to keep in touch with candidates in our network and those that we've recruited to our clients as well.
  • Allows us to set search agents that alert us of new candidates meeting our search on a daily basis
  • Has a very detailed search component to it that lets us hone in on the ideal fits during our search
  • Inmail features allow us to contact passive candidates when we don't have other contact methods for them
  • With how common remote work is nowadays, they need to add a search function that allows us to search for candidates by time zone
  • It would be incredibly beneficial if they added a feature that indicated a candidate's work authorization status
LinkedIn Talent Solutions is ideal when looking for top notch candidates that are not actively posting their resumes on job boards. Often, the best candidates in the IT industry are not actively looking so LinkedIn Talent Solutions allows us to find and contact those candidates about the job openings we're recruiting for at a given time.

LinkedIn Talent Solutions has helped us a lot. It serves a vital role in our work. We find those candidates who are actively looking for a job change and are not much interested to update their status on job portals. Here in LinkedIn, one can interact with employees of the company from most senior to any level and of any department directly by simply connecting them in your network or by sending in emails. One can find actively candidate looking for a change and you can view their certificates, work done, education, discuss the role. Unlike other job portals, you can interact and create your friend/network list with people of your concern. You can raise concerns with any product and services of any company like Twitter and other social networks. as per my opinion if the LinkedIn talent solution improves the filter applied for candidate sourcing this will be great. Also if they can add an option of the best time to contact and best way to contact to open to a work candidate. In short, this is the best platform for me for sourcing candidates.

LinkedIn Talent Solutions is a very reactive method to source. Customer Service and Support is also very reactive and lacks the hands-on approach other systems offer, i.e. Dice, CareerBuilder, Indeed and Job Diva provide. The salesperson is frankly lazy and not available! When I tried to resolve an issue with the Manager, they are not available as well! LinkedIn Talent Solutions is also expensive and the only reason we use it is that Management feels it's important for branding purposes. I'm Not A Fan and Prefer Pro-Active systems!

Used by recruitment teams to find candidates to passive recruit for our positions. We don’t use their application features in LinkedIn. All candidates are redirected to our external application when they hit the apply button in LinkedIn. We also use this to send InMails to candidates we would like to apply for our roles. Secondarily LinkedIn Talent Solutions allows us to post our jobs on their network for people to find on their own.

Very well suited for finding candidates if you are not getting a lot of applicants or qualified applicants. Also well suited to professional jobs where a bachelors degree or higher is required due to the professionalism of the LinkedIn Brand. Talent Solutions would not be suited for a company with a lot of openings or growth as their organization of projects and job posts is not easy. Additionally long term roles or forever open roles wouldn’t work well with LinkedIn Talent as their postings expire every two weeks automatically and you have to reset the posting. This can cause issues with your overall analytics of data for applicant tracking and marketing in the recruitment area.

It helps us source and keep up to date with other recruiter interactions with candidates. It has been used by all of our recruiters. And it helps us in the sourcing process and networking as well as documenting, keeping track of interactions and separating them by project, making it easier to go back to candidates.

It's great to investigate the job market, to source and recruit people, to network and learn about current worries in the job market and to be informed about events. It is not suited to make friends, to share jokes, it is a very professional social network. Besides this is recommended for medium and large size companies.

It is used solely by the talent team in order to prospect passive and active candidates for open/future positions. It is helpful to uncover talent that may not be applying directly to our job postings.

The best feature for us is being able to quickly reach candidates via InMail and ones that have their "open to new opportunities" filter on. This allows us to have a targeted approach to the candidate outreach that we are doing.
  • Filters; allow you to have defined searches so you are weeding through less candidates
  • InMails; the fact that it sends them an email is a huge plus because it means that email is much more likely to be read.
  • Huge network; LinkedIn has a large set of candidates
  • More accurate candidate info - I wish they had a way to encourage people to update their profile/open to work settings more regularly.
  • Resume posting - I know LinkedIn wants the profile to be the resume, but I would love to be able to see a candidates resume and reach out directly.
LinkedIn is great for finding passive candidates. I hire many part-time employees so the part-time filter is a huge benefit to quickly weed out candidates that are exclusively looking for full-time work. The other filters can also help to cut down on the amount of work I have to do to weed through a vast number of candidates.

I think many candidates on LinkedIn have outdated profiles so when someone responds to your inmail you think you're talking to someone who has ten years experience in their current company, but then you find out they have actually had six jobs since that time. If LinkedIn would fine a way to motivate people to update their profiles more frequently, I think that would be great.

It is used to find qualified candidates to fill our open positions. We don't have to spend hours looking through resumes anymore.

This tool simply produces the results we need - it is THE solution for us to find and place top technical and professional talent, second only to our robust associate referral program.

I use it primarily to find candidates for job openings I have, but it has its limits.
  • Finding people.

  • Boolean filters do not work very well.
  • Limiting your ability to connect with people.

The biggest negative about this product is being limited to the number of people you can reach out to in a week. This is a commercial account that I pay for every month, yet I'm not supposed to reach out to and/or connect with people I don't know. I'm a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist. I help people find employment as a service. I pay for this service. It's called Recruiter! Yet they want to limit how I use this service that I am paying for? Truly the "Microsoft way". We'll sell you the license & a seat, but we will also tell you how & when you can use the license & where to sit! Too bad LinkedIn sold out to MS.

Using Boolean terms to narrow down search parameters does not work as well as advertised. You end up missing people that should be included in your search. I end up doing broad searches without filters, requiring a lot of patience to sift through the results. In many cases, when using NOT in a Boolean filter to avoid people you aren't looking for, IE - NOT Vice President NOT Sales Manager, etc, people with those titles or key words will still show up in the search, which [feels like] a waste of time.

With Recruiter Lite, the ability to build projects & save people from your searches to specific projects, IE - Press Operator, Production Manager, etc & then even narrowing it down to those titles in a specific region, city, or State is a great tool. You then have the ability to print those lists in a very nice, detailed, portrait or landscape document.
