Users of this software have reported several key use cases that highlight its value in enhancing productivity and improving communication. One of the notable benefits is the seamless integration with Outlook, which saves users time and effort in data entry. This feature allows for easy syncing of contact data and emails from Outlook to Salesforce, streamlining the workflow between the two systems.

For sales professionals, the software's integration with Salesforce has proven to be highly beneficial. It enables them to link emails and record conversations with customers and prospects, providing improved visibility and reducing confusion in communication. Additionally, sales management is aided by the software's ability to provide visibility to deals, preventing potential loss of accounts.

Recruitment agencies have also found value in this tool, particularly in its time-saving feature of quickly linking documents and data. Users have reported that this functionality enhances their productivity and aids in Salesforce record keeping.

Overall, users have praised the ease of use and minimal training required for this software, making it a valuable CRM tool for various industries. While there have been some reports of compatibility limitations on Macs and mobile devices, the software has generally been appreciated for its reliability and seamless operation once set up. It offers a convenient solution for recording and referencing communication, ultimately improving efficiency and collaboration across teams within Salesforce.

Time-saving and efficient: Many users have found that LinkPoint Connect is a big time saver, helping them drive adoption and implementation of workflows related to their CRM. Several reviewers appreciate the software's intuitive interface, which makes it easy to use and navigate. The ability to link emails directly with Salesforce, including attachments, is another feature that many users find very convenient and user-friendly.

Seamless integration with Outlook and Salesforce: A common pro mentioned by multiple reviewers is how well LinkPoint syncs with both Outlook and Salesforce. Users appreciate the seamless integration between these platforms, as it allows them to easily record emails sent and received to leads, contacts, accounts, and cases in Salesforce. This integration not only saves time but also ensures accurate data recording.

Convenient customization options: Many users appreciate the flexibility offered by LinkPoint Connect when it comes to customizing their email recordings in Salesforce. They like being able to specify where the emails should be saved within Salesforce, such as under specific accounts or opportunities. Additionally, they value the ability to edit what gets recorded without changing the original message content. These customization options provide users with greater control over their email management process.

Not very user-friendly: Many users have found the software to be not very user-friendly and mentioned that it took some time to get used to. They have struggled with the interface and navigation, which has hindered their overall experience.

Not compatible with Mac OSX and cloud software: A significant number of users expressed frustration that the software is not compatible with Mac OSX and popular cloud software like Gmail. This limitation has caused inconvenience for a large portion of the user base.

Occasional glitches: While the majority of users find the software to be reliable, there have been reports of occasional glitches. These technical issues, although infrequent, can disrupt users' workflow and cause frustration.

Users have made several recommendations for using LinkPoint based on their experiences. Firstly, users recommend using LinkPoint to help salespeople focus on business tasks rather than administrative ones. This suggests that the tool is effective in streamlining workflows and reducing time spent on non-essential activities.

Secondly, users find LinkPoint to be a simple tool for logging emails. This implies that the process of tracking and organizing email correspondence is straightforward and user-friendly.

However, it should be noted that some users advise against using LinkPoint on Mac platforms. This suggests that there may be compatibility issues or limitations when using the software on Apple devices.

Furthermore, users recommend specifying file names for images in emails to prevent LinkPoint from recording all of them into Salesforce. This suggests that taking this precaution can help maintain accurate and relevant data within the platform.

Lastly, users suggest reaching out to LinkPoint's support group for assistance in decision-making. This indicates that consulting with the support team can provide valuable insights and guidance when using the tool.

Additionally, users recommend contacting LinkPoint's support group via chat for efficient multitasking. This implies that the chat functionality allows for convenient communication while simultaneously working on other tasks.

LinkPoint is being deployed across our entire organization, as a way to be more efficient and thorough with our email and Salesforce integration and documentation. It is being rolled out in waves and I am in initial the pilot/test group. So far my experience has been pain free and encouraging.
  • Setup is pretty seamless, at least from an end-user point of view. Essentially you open both Outlook and Salesforce, and then click on the LinkPoint Connect button in Outlook. You are then asked to sign in (provide username/password) to Salesforce. That's all--once my login information was accepted it was set up and syncing emails and calendar items from Outlook to Salesforce. Pretty painless!
  • Recording/syncing emails to client records is, from my standpoint at least, the core functionality, and LinkPoint does this pretty much flawlessly and with little to no effort or input on my part. This is incredibly important to me as it creates the documentation record I need in Salesforce to provide excellent service to my clients as well as for compliance reasons.
  • The LinkPoint interface also makes it very easy and efficient to perform additional actions in Salesforce without ever leaving Outlook. New Salesforce tasks, events, follow up reminders, etc. are all easy to set up from the LinkPoint sidebar directly in Outlook with just a few clicks of the mouse. And, in those cases where you need to go a little deeper there is a link in the sidebar that will open up the client record directly in Salesforce in a single action, bypassing the multi-step process normally required (i.e. open the program, search for the client, select and open the record, etc.). This ease of interaction between the two programs has removed barriers and has helped me be more consistent in fully utilizing what Salesforce has to offer. No longer do I move on to the next item on my to-do list with scribbled note that will hopefully remind me to update Salesforce later, when I have a chance...
  • I don't really have any areas where I think LinkPoint as room for improvement. Perhaps this is because I've only been using it a couple of months and haven't yet experienced anything problematic.
LinkPoint is well suited to any situation where Outlook is used for email correspondence and calendar items and there is need to have a record of those items and/or perform connected actions (schedule tasks, follow up reminders, etc.) in Salesforce. Automating this process and removing as much duplication of work as possible is the primary goal and the primary benefit that LinkPoint provides. In addition to efficiency, automating the process also provides a pretty substantial increase in accuracy, removing ca. 50% of the chance for human error. It's pretty simple functionality in concept, but extremely valuable in execution.
  • As mentioned before, LinkPoint's seamless interface and ease with which I am able to enter Salesforce items directly from Outlook has led to my being much more consistent (as well as timely and accurate) in my utilization of Salesforce in complete and wholistic way, and reaping the benefits that result.
Prior to our move to LinkPoint, we used the Salesforce add-in for Outlook. This required manual syncing of email and calendar items and no easy to use interface between the two programs. It was very cumbersome for me to use, to the point where I quit using it altogether some time ago. I found it far less frustrating to just switch back and forth between Outlook and Salesforce and manually perform the requisite actions, create tasks or other items, enter the required data, etc.

We use LinkPoint Connect to log outbound e-mail communication. Primarily, it functions as a plug-in over our Outlook processes. It lets us log all communication happening with our customers and preserve that information in Salesforce.
  • Very easy to use.
  • Easy to tag to contacts, accounts, and opportunities separately and at the same time.
  • Minimally invasive into the rest of my workflow.
  • The plug-in for Outlook needs to be reset every couple of months.
  • It does not tag e-mails sent from mobile devices (or we haven't figured out how to do that yet).
LinkPoint Connect is great to use for all outbound e-mail communication. The Outlook plug-in works well when it does not have activation issues. I don't use it for internal e-mails, so I can't speak to how it works for that.
  • It provides transparency into your outbound communication with customers.
We have not used any alternative products.
Never had to use the support team, which probably means the product works well!

LinkPoint is currently being used by our inside and outside sales teams in multiple regions/countries. It allows us to quickly add emails and create contacts/leads from outlook. Prior to LinkPoint , we had Salesforce for outlook but we could only use the add email feature as the create functionality was no good to us because it didn’t follow our custom fields or honor our validation rules.
  • Adding emails is a breeze.
  • Creating contacts/leads from outlook is as simple as highlight, drag and drop.
  • Additional customization to allow you to bring in associates custom objects.
  • Installation is a bit tricky for non tech savvy users.
  • Ability to sort/filter search results when looking for additional records.
  • The ability to mass create multiple contacts/leads from an email would be nice.
LinkPoint is great for people who spend a lot of time working inside outlook. It allows you to update and add records directly from outlook and it has some built-in duplicate prevention which is nice if you don’t have duplicate prevention measures in place. It’s fast and stable. A lot of our users were unable to use SFO due to it crashing outlook.
  • Activity history tracking. Our users send most of their emails from outlook.
  • Contact and lead creation.
  • Visibility of all associated records.
Cirrus Insight was a huge fail for us as it searched and pulled in matching records looking at all custom and standard email fields. We have a lot of emails fields that contained employee email addresses (for notifications) so it pulled in records that didn’t match making the results hard to search through.
