There isn't a lot of vendor specific tooling (i.e. the Linode way of doing things in this case) over and above the base system of choice. This industry standardisation is a key factor for ease of use. It makes it easy for people across various skills levels to work using the knowledge and experience they already have.

Their web interface panel is great. One nicety other providers have is a web interface for file management, which can be handy in a pinch, Linode does not have this.

Restoring a server from a backup could be made more seamless.

Simplicity is the core of Linode, let that be the UX nor their products. I had never faced any challenge with using the Cloud panel not configuring products, right from the very first time. That way, i would say Linode's overall usability is the best compared to all the Cloud providers. It is simple, straight and developer friendly.

Deploying a Linode instance is a very simple, straightforward process. Of course you're going to run into problems if you don't know your way around the command line, but that's hardly Linode's fault. They have plenty of deployment images on hand to satisfy nearly any need.

It's a perfect balance of simplicity and rich functionality for the vast majority of our solutions. The Linode portal gives us all of the flexibility we need right at our fingertips, without the hassle of having to drill down 10 screens deep to find some obscure, yet critical feature.

It's pretty easy for me, but I preferred their old interface before it was called 'cloud' (not a computer science term.) The new interface looks easier but I had to ask for help for things I used to be able to find myself. If someone was new to it--without having used their old interface--it might be easier for them than it originally was for me.

Because I'm an experienced user, I find Linode's VPS product to be really easy to use. I've had my Linode for awhile doing the same thing. The caveat here is that I don't use all the products they offer. I use the ones that I need. Linode doesn't make me bundle stuff I don't need with things that I do. All their products are (individually) priced fairly (and extremely competitively for some products...others are more or less market-standard prices).

Linode is perfect for what it offers: The UI is a great start. Managing DNS is straightforward. The API is simple and well documented. Everything just works. The performance of the VMs is good and global coverage is more than sufficient for me. Private Layer 2 networking is the only feature I miss which would be really adding value.

The interface is really simple. Over the years, Linode has added more services, yet the menus are well thought out, making it easy to find what you're looking to do. Once you find the right path, deploying or maintaining your server is very easy. A few clicks and I'm usually done for almost every task.
