We are using a Logitech Rally combined with Logitech Tap as a Teams Room in our primary boardroom. This has allowed us to have meetings between different groups without requiring a participant to have a laptop when joining from the boardroom. It's made our lives easier, particularly with orientations during COVID.
  • Easy to join meetings
  • Outstanding video and audio quality
  • Great cabling
  • Better sized equipment for smaller rooms (portable?)
  • More flexibility to share the device (without Tap)
  • Better automatic zooming.
This is the first time I have implemented a room video conferencing solution that didn't feel like torture. Right away from the unboxing of the equipment and the clear instructions I was satisfied. The full Teams Room kit had multiple options for cabling and detailed configuration options. It immediately connected to our Office 365 environment and we were live very quickly. We had one hiccup with the pass through on the Tap system but there was a firmware update available already that resolved it immediately.
  • Team Room Support
  • Third Party Support for joining (Zoom)
  • Video/Audio quality
  • Clean cabling with multiple configuration options
  • During COVID it has allowed us to link rooms together.
  • Allowed us to make orientation easier to deliver.
  • Allowed us to require less people delivering orientation by linking rooms together.
We have primarily stuck with Logitech products in the past however I have had the displeasure of using some Polycom equipment in the past. At the time, Polycom basically required all people joining the meetings to be utilizing the same systems. Logitech allows us to be hardware and software agnostic. There are multiple manufacturers providing equipment and Logitech Tap has first party support for Teams, Zoom, and others. Logitech Connect and Logitech GROUP do not have proper integration with Tap and require a user to bring their laptop along.

We are using Logitech Rally video conferencing units at specific sites in conjunction with Microsoft Teams to provide flexible video conferencing capabilities. They are used by users across all types and groups on each of the sites. It provides an easy to use interface with screen sharing capabilities.
  • Easy to use
  • Screen sharing
  • Video pass through
  • Installation
  • Meeting management
  • Remote management
It’s well suited to medium sized conference rooms with limited IT support.
  • Increased efficiency
  • Reduced downtime
The Rally units are a significant improvement on the Dolby units, providing a more capable interface with better screen sharing capabilities. The units are significantly cheaper than the Cisco units, however they do not offer the remote management capabilities of the Cisco units.
