In our company, we use LogMeIn Central to make sure everything runs smoothly, especially with so many POS agents out in the field. The big challenge it helps us tackle is letting our IT team fix computer issues from anywhere. With people all over the place, it's a real headache if they can't get into their systems. LogMeIn Central makes it easy for our IT and Help Desk Professionals to solve problems without having to be physically present, which saves us a bunch of time and hassle. We also use it to keep an eye on how everything's doing. It helps us check if computers are healthy, update software, and keep things working smoothly. This is important, especially for our POS who are out there making sales.
  • Reliable Remote Access: LogMeIn Central is fantastic when it comes to providing secure and reliable remote access to our systems.
  • User-Friendly Interface: Despite the complexity of the tasks it handles, LogMeIn Central is a user-friendly interface. Navigating through the platform is intuitive, which is crucial for experienced users and those new to remote access and IT management tools.
  • Collaboration and File Transfer: The collaboration features and file transfer capabilities within LogMeIn Central simplify teamwork.
  • Resource Usage: Some users might find that certain remote access tools can be resource-intensive, impacting system performance.
  • Enhanced Collaboration Features: Depending on the organization's needs, users might desire additional collaboration features within the platform, such as improved file sharing, real-time chat, or collaborative troubleshooting tools.
  • User Interface Enhancement: Some users found the interface slightly complex.
1. Scenario: A team member encounters a technical issue on their work computer while on a business trip. LogMeIn Central was able to provide quick and secure remote access for IT support, allowing technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues without the need for physical presence.

2. Less Appropriate Scenario: Operating in areas with limited internet bandwidth. LogMeIn Central relies on a stable internet connection for efficient remote access. I had experiences where I was unable to resolve issues because of low bandwidth environment.

We utilize LogMeIn Central by GoTo for remote computer access and control. This is an integral piece in our IT tool kit. It gets used weekly for sure and sometimes even daily. It is extremely helpful in use with end user issues for troubleshooting and fixing user issues. It is installed on every user machine before being put into use.
  • Remote computer control
  • file transfer
  • remote chat with end users
  • Printer sharing is confusing and troublesome when trying to troubleshoot a printer issue on the end user side
  • Occasional lag on the remote computer control can cause frustrations
LogMeIn Central by GoTo is perfect for small IT departments managing many computers especially in different buildings and/or properties. The fact that an IT technician can remotely control and troubleshoot a user's computer without physical access is extremely helpful. It would be less appropriate for a small single building company.

We use LogMeIn Central by GoTo primarily as a secondary, but daily used, remote access solution across multiple clients to allow for easy, direct access to specific machines at client locations. It affords easy access from multiple devices (PC, macOS & iOS) and incorporates background file transfer and command prompt ability, as well.
  • Remote access
  • Quick insight into uptime of particular machine
  • Software-based VPN into client network
  • It's not a true RMM and is missing some key functionality in that realm while it claims to be one
  • Compared to a true RMM, it's too costly to deploy across an entire organization
LogMeIn Central by GoTo is well suited for easy, direct access to specific, perhaps mission critical, machines. Its remote control functionality and speed is very good - best in class, really. However, it simply can't replace a true and traditional RMM product in terms of robustness and overall ability (or lack thereof).

It is used throughout the organization to remotely access and control machines from various locations. It is used on PCs as well as iOS devices. LogMeIn Central is also used to check up on the status of machines and file transfer.
  • Remote control
  • Remote restart
  • File transfer
  • Looking over a user’s shoulder to troubleshoot
  • Lower cost plans
  • A better interface from Chromebooks
  • The ability to fully control more types of devices
LogMeIn Central excels at remote control of PCs in real-time as well as background file transfer. It would be nice if you could run a concurrent session as a different user without disturbing the user as an option, although an interactive session where both you and the user see the same thing is very helpful and is supported. It is useful to monitor and control devices that are being controlled and the devices used to control the other device can be at multiple different locations including ability to use iOS device to remotely control a PC such as using an iPhone to control a PC. This is great for on-demand troubleshooting.

LogMeIn Central by GoTo makes remote device access and management possible for administrators, simplifying support and troubleshooting. IT professionals can explore and use the platform more easily because to its intuitive interfaces and user-friendly features. It is the most dependable remote monitoring and management tool available. delivering vital patch management, rapid, secure HD remote access, meaningful reporting, potent IT automation, and more from a user-friendly platform.
  • IT professionals can explore and use the platform more easily because to its intuitive interfaces and user-friendly features.
  • It keeps an eye on the functionality and health of the gadgets, sending out notifications in real time if anything seems wrong.
  • It expands to meet the demands of expanding companies and can handle a higher volume of devices.
  • Little expensive
  • Some Compatibility Issues.
  • Occasionally has problems changing users on a remote system.
From a single place, I can use LogMeIn Central to monitor which machines need upgrades and determine whether to delay them until after isolated testing. I can also use the One2Many tool to arrange batch updates for third-party software. Plus, it enables me to provide Ad Hoc Support sessions to staff members who are experiencing problems with their client computers.

We use LogMeIn Central by GoTo for remote management and monitoring of various devices, specifically desk tops and laptops. It can also be used for patch management and automation through the software. This often times is used when issues occur and a Level 2 or 3 technician will need to remote into the device to review what is occurring. Action items can then be handled by the technician to remediate the issue.
  • Remote Login to a device anywhere in the world
  • Automate various tasks
  • Patch Management
  • Pricing can be expensive
  • Customer Support - Can be timely waiting for support personnel on a software issue
  • Printing issues with various reports can sometime be fluky, then suddenly they clear up
This is a great tool whether your an SMB (Small/Medium) business or a larger enterprise company. One of the biggest struggles that folks have is when something is not functioning correctly on their laptop or device and they are unable to articulate the issue, or just at a loss. This is also useful with manufacturers who sell laptops/desktops to provide assistance to the end client to identify hardware or software issues on their machine.

I've used LogMeIn Central by GoTo for six years. It was recommended to me by an IT professional. It's reliability was a life saver during the pandemic. In our fast paced world it's no longer practical to travel to clients this is a reliable fix for that. It's also good if you provide software support or other troubleshooting.
  • Web based client easy to use
  • Extremely reliable
  • Great support
  • Easy setup
  • Needs a little tweaking to install on a Windows 11 computer
  • Graphics on LogMeIn Central by GoTo client could be clearer
  • Can be frustrating on an unstable connection
Perfect solution when you need 24 hour access to a networked desktop. Also works well to provide support using screen sharing. It has a file transfer feature that works quite well. Two factor authentication provides added security. An invaluable tool in our remote access business world. A time saving superstar!

I have several companies that I have installed LogMeIn Central by GoTo that we use to remotely manage all company computers in one interface. We can look at cpu usage, installed software etc when troubleshooting end users. It is a all in one platform to manage small to large enterprise organizations.
  • Organize computer into groups
  • Remote management and inventory
  • Trouble shooting issues
  • send and receive files
  • Cost
  • speed
  • screen resolution sometimes is an issue especially with smaller notebook screen size
  • Audio is sometimes and issue where the audio is not in sync.
This platform is great on troubleshooting and doing tech support for remote users. The full tool set allows me to pull and send files to the remote computer/server. I can use shortcut keystrokes to speed out routing short keys on Windows computers. It is really hard to think of a circumstance where LogMeIn Central by GoTo is less appropriate. I can only think of an issue if the remote computer has malware and or issue with internet connectivity and trying to log in becomes ineffective.

We use it to monitor and manage our large number of Kiosks at multiple buildings within our organization. Helping us keep them updated and alerting us of issues. It helps us be pro active instead of reactive in many of our cases. Essentially it just helps keeps us a little more organized.
  • Automation of patches
  • Monitoring
  • Management of Kiosks
  • GUI can feel cluttered
  • Faster alerts
  • Easier monitoring with large numbers
Staying on top of the number and amount of kiosks across our multiple building and infrastructure, we can keep them updated and patched appropriately. It's pretty user friendly and easy to navigate once you have a little experience. I feel if we had less devices within our organization it would not be as essential to help maintain them.

I use LogMeIn Central for unattended remote access for a single account (off our domain), on two iMacs. It works well for a quick and easy setup/access of computers off-site, off our domain, off our WAN, etc. It recently had a UI change, but only for the login process.
  • unattended remote access
  • simple login
  • simple file transfer
  • reasonably priced
  • sometimes after an update, the unattended access stops working on Macs, and user intervention is required, which is sometimes very difficult to walk a user through allowing 3 or 4 different processes from Mac settings
  • other than that, no negatives, as far as my usage
LogMeIn Central is great for a small/medium size office, for unattended remote access, where the computers you access are not part of your network or domain. Very simple to configure and use.

We use LogMeIn Central for consultants and users outside our domain to be able to access a virtual machine on the domain. Some users use it for WorkFromHome, while others use it for support purposes. We don't want personal computers on our domain or any computer/device that isn't on our domain that we can manage to log into our network via VPN. This was an issue with some of our contracts as organizations utilizing our services wanted to be sure that our network was secure. LogMeIn Central provides that work-around we need to keep our network secure while still being able to continue business as usual.
  • Access to Virtual Machines inside network
  • Ability to turn the PC back on
  • Black out screen on PC you're remoting into for privacy
  • Gives me, as the admin, the ability to see who is logged in and I am able to remotely connect to machines as needed for support
  • Audio issues for remote pc to your pc on central (works on pro)
  • I've had some issues with remoting from PC to Mac in the past
  • Would like to see an invisible connection to a PC within LMI as an admin to monitor outside contractors usage.
Well suited for allowing outside/external users to connect to domain/network VMS or PCs to keep your network secure and manageable. If you're only using it for remote control or support, there are other apps better designed just for that. Easy to access and manage all PCs, VMS on LMI and great visibility.

Central helps us monitor and support remote workstations and run technical and usage reports. We are experimenting and leveraging this kind of technology in remote or hybrid working environments, which allows us to test the full capabilities of remote management and end-user support who may not be able to come to the office.
  • Bulk/Mass Implementation.
  • Remote support for users.
  • Broad Application/File Distribution.
  • Latency Issues.
  • Interface can be challenging to navigate.
  • Can be unstable at times.
I have found that large-scale adoption has its challenges, and it would be better suited for small-to-medium-sized businesses. Additionally, the connections have to be solid, which cuts down on the latency issues. Those companies looking to test a remote management tool may find that this tool is reasonable to implement and distribute. Those that are already experienced should have no problem.

Central is the software we use to provide remote support to our company's internal users. Before using Central, remote access was slow and delayed which caused some problems during the service, among them, when Windows requested Administrator access the resolver agent could not enter his credentials. With Central this was solved, making the service much easier, besides all the service being audited
  • Fast remote access, no delay and no problem with computers with two or more screens
  • You can draw on the user's screen, lock the keyboard and mouse, and all of it is software that has logs for auditing
  • Central, also provides silent installation and helps with scripting for GPO enforcement which is a plus when working with multiple users
  • Lists all the computers in your domain that have the tool installed, just click on the desired computer to connect
  • Can remotely access the computer without the user noticing (hidden)
  • It could pull up the user's login in addition to the hostname
  • Employee shortcuts like "win+r", "Ctrl+shitf+dell", on the computer that is connected remotely. This is needed
  • Being able to minimize the bar in the top corner of the screen that is left when you are connected to a remote computer
Recommended scenario: Medium-sized companies between 1000 employees, when you want to access remote computers in your domain quickly, Central is certainly a recommended tool.

Not recommended scenario: Companies that have computers outside their domain, especially when you provide support for other companies or on personal computers, in that case Rescue is recommended.

We use LogMeIn central to manage our customers PC's. We needed to ensure that we were applying patches correctly and monitoring the status of our antivirus, which LogMeIn does really well. It's also good to be able to remote into the PC whenever we need to make changes. The software allows us to respond very quickly when needed, and I must say that it's also very stable. The fact that the software is both speedy and reliable saves us a lot of money in the long run. As a managed service provider, we are occasionally asked by our customers to provide reports on their assets. LogMeIn supports the ability to do this, and the reporting templates are good enough to provide to customers.
  • real time monitoring of devices up-status
  • The speed of the software
  • Interface is very clean and easy to navigate
  • Initial setup is very simple
  • Pricing structure is a bit confusing - there are various add-ons that can seriously increase your cost
  • More integrations with software such as Antivirus vendors would be nice
  • No Chromebook client at all, and isn't as good with Mac's either
  • You can only have 1 technician on a PC at a time
If you're a managed service provider, LogMeIn Central is a very good product to consider when purchasing your RMM. The product allows you to manage multiple organisations, with different permission levels for your technicians depending on what you want them to have access to. The software is also just as good for managing devices that are on a remote network somewhere that you can't easily access. Utilising the software across your organisation allows you a high level overview of all of your devices, which makes accounting and inventories really easy to keep up to date. LogMeIn Central is less suited to a small business environment, because the cost of the software is quite high. Although it is a great product, I would say that there are other vendors out there that can offer a cheaper product that does some of the same things (albeit probably not to the same standard).

We were not using a Standard tool for Remote Desktop (as we were using Team Viewer/AnyDesk), then we purchased Central as remote tool. This resolved many of our major problems like secured Remote connection, no interruptions via share, managed asset inventory, pushing updates/patched with ease, Scheduled updates, software upgradations/bulk installations.
  • Excellent Remote Tool
  • End to End Managing the asset history/Inventory
  • Help in Bulk Installation/Uninstallation and pushing scheduled patches/updates
  • Complex in using scripts to automate few things like poweroff etc
  • If any system is in Shutdown mode, it will not show correctly colour whether it is in live or in shutdown state. We have to manually check by getting inside.
  • When we roll few security rules/policies/permissions, it says it was applied but when we check if wasn't the case. We need to do multiple times and cross check whether it is applied
As far my exoerience, this is more suitable on medium level companies where the employee/systems counts are not very high. If your company has more users/connections, then it will be complex to manage

Central is one of the most powerful and reliable remote monitoring management platform that is very user-friendly and easy to use to complete tasks anytime anyday anywhere. I like it's a pure, cloud-based remote monitoring tool that enables IT professionals to effectively monitor, manage and secure our endpoint infrastructure. It does well for remote employees or endpoints scattered across the globe and provides our organisation with speed and flexibility and increase productivity. I also like how the information is aligned electronically like resources and computer information are available on our end so no need of manual checking.
  • Ability to use the core function without having to go through rigorous training since the tool is easy to grasp.
  • Remote control for troubleshooting IT support staff along with remote deployment options.
  • Easy user management with intuitive UI arrangements for effective and easy control permission and computer grouping.
  • Stay connected despite the location or time to clients servers. Enables us to correct discrepancies and make changes easily.
  • It is not compatible with Android, tablets and iPads.
  • Not allowed to have multiple log ins for technical support into clients servers at a go.
Its a great tool to organise multiple computers in multiple locations to offer support easily with ability to access systems from any location at any time. Have a excellent support team. Its very easy to use and deploy both in remote and on-premises. The UI is user-friendly hence new users find it very much easy to use and learn everything with ease.

We primarily use Central to remote into workstations / laptops on our network. It does an amazing job at this and is unmatched by any other product that performs a similar task. We added the patch management and security modules and were disappointed in those offerings. The security module is based on bitdefender, which is top tier AV module. However, the Central offering of this product is lacking many of the things that make bitdefender an amazing security product. Scaled down for Central, it is subpar in my opinion. The patch manager is a little less that average and does a fair job. But if you are looking for a more complete system that scans the entire system for vulnerabilities, then you should search for a better solution. The Central basic offering is where we are going to return our licensing to since that is where Central excels and has the most value. I don't really consider Central a fully developed remote monitoring software offering.
  • Remote access to systems
  • transfer files between host and client
  • remote access to system resources
  • remote shutdown and restart
  • patch management
  • security / av
  • reporting and monitoring
Well suited for connecting to computers and laptops for helpdesk support. Can turn off remote desktop for servers enabling a more secure network. It does well at windows updates if you get the patch management module but don't expect much more.

If you are looking for a helpdesk support tool that will manage windows patches and an ok security solution, then this would be for you.

We typically use central to remote into agents' computers to assist them with setup during training or to have engineers assist us with issues we don't understand. Central is utilized for us to more easily work together without using screen share in a program like Zoom where we can't take control of our agent's desktop.
  • Easily connects
  • Assists with installation and training remotely
  • Allows us to troubleshoot issues that are out of our scope of expertise
  • Is easy to navigate
  • Messy display on main screen
  • Stealth mode is a little unnerving with privacy (which I understand is necessary for opsec)
  • A bit pricey for smaller companies
This is well suited for our IT to be able to solve problems quickly and easily for employees who are less tech-savvy. If you don't use a lot of sensitive software or have complicated issues this may not be for you. While I can see benefits in-house, I think this is better suited in remote situations.
