Easy to use, online classes on your own time,can pay extra for more training resources. Lots of videos, articles and a forum for customers to interact and ask other users questions/ask for suggestions. Your rep can also recommend certain classes tailored to your organizations' needs. There are also in person training courses you can sign up for.

They do a great job reviewing the product and providing some best practices/tips you might not know if you didn't do the training. I gave it a 9 vs a 10 because sometimes it's been a while since those leading the training have used the product the way an organization would, so there are a few areas that could be improved upon.

The trainings are very dependent on the instructor and the pace of the class and the questions being asked. Overall, the training is good. I prefer the self-paced, online trainings that can be completed on your own. Tips and tricks to make your work go faster are very helpful while some of the more theoretical topics require time in the software exploring on your own.

Training options are limited, costly, and poorly organized. Before the Blackbaud acquisition, Convio had a large number of topical webinars freely available as part of being a client. Now, all but the most basic training opportunities are only available at expensive à la carte prices or through an access plan that is even more cost prohibitive for all but the biggest organizations. We have had to handle onboarding and training almost completely internally because of the lack of viable options.

Blackbaud does a good job making detailed guides on how to use each option and tab Luminate has to offer. They also are available to help through chat which makes figuring out problems and learning new skills a lot easier.

When I used the training, I had actually been using Luminate Online but figured it might help me learn to use the tools more effectively. And it did. The sessions were helpful and even as a current user I felt like I learned how to use the tools more effectively.
