The Support team is outstanding for Blackbaud Luminate Online! As with any software platform, first-line tech support is often constrained in their ability to actual change anything within the platform. However, Blackbaud Luminate Online team is excellent in providing immediate answers to basic questions, researching and communicating additional information where appropriate, and serving as advocates for customers with their internal colleagues.

Whenever we have had an issue regarding Luminate (whether due to issues with Luminate software or Luminate integration with outside software), we will regularly reach out to support even with simple questions just to see if they have a solution or know of an issue on their end. I can count on one hand the number of times that we have received a response longer than twenty-four hours. Support is fantastic and often will take on an issue themselves or will offer a solution we may not have thought of.

Very good on chat support, our rep is great at touching base or answering questions om the fly. If something isn't working they will change it and make it work. They want your business and want you to be happy and will do whatever needs to be done to help you get to your goal.

Support staff are usually incredibly helpful and responsive. There are several ways to contact them (chat, logging a ticket, phone) which makes it easy to get help when you need it. Once in a while I get a support staff member who isn't quite as helpful, which is why I gave it a 9 instead of a 10, but that is rare and if I follow up with someone else, I get what I need.

I get conflicting information more than I get correct information. This isn't just me, but my colleagues as well. I have had many open cases just closed for what seems like no other reason them Blackbaud doesn't want to fix them. Also, there are many bugs we have found and supports answer to many of them is that “this is a known bug but there are no plans to implement a fix” so we are just stuck with a broken system. Or we have to come up with a workaround on our own.

Some general support technicians are excellent, but overall they are powerless to help with anything beyond general instructions, and solving real problems is a nightmare. I have had open support tickets for years regarding things as basic and critical as bugs in report results, and often the answer is simply "no."

Luminate Online is an absolutely amazing constituent management tool. The only issue we have with support is they assume that we are well-versed in things like HTML and web page construction. So sometimes we have to ask them to back up four steps to get us where we want to be.

I think that it is ridiculous that only certain people can access support. I do like being able to create a case and track it via email, but I have had a hard time getting what I need at times. I find this process cumbersome and tedious. This system should be geared around the user and not the support staff, but it feels like it is the other way around.

I have had great experience with the support portal for the Luminate products. It can depend on what tech you get, but if you get a good one they really know their stuff. Sometimes, the answer isn't what I'd like it to be - but at least they're able to explain to me why I'm experiencing certain issues or how to minimize those issues in the future. They are also unfailingly polite and good humored, which helps!

All of our needs have been met quickly and professionally. I have been able to place a phone call and quickly get to a technician that was able to resolve our issue within 10 or 15 minutes. I have also submitted a case through email and that worked very well also.
