Mailchimp was our top of mind tool that we used first. Other than the lack of possibility to send newsletter in the free plan, Mailchimp is a comprehensive solution that addresses all our needs. Also, it is widely recognized so any newsletter received from them by our users looks legitimate.

Mailchimp's ease of use and cost structure made it our top choice. An easy-to-understand and simple-to-use procedure. Setting targets, goals, and overall flow to get market data is accessible. It's simple, and they keep adding new features. It's an excellent tool for email marketing and integrates easily with other software. So, when compared to other tools, it has a lot to offer.

Constant Contact, Delivra.
I selected [MailChimp] after reviewing several other platforms and selected it based on its ease of use, simplicity and cost structure. It's easy to understand and they continue to add new features to the platform. It's a great tool for starting an email marketing campaign and easily integrates with other marketing software.

Mailchimp has much more capabilities for creating and designing newsletters, tracking analytics of the newsletters, creating distribution lists and more than does Shared Contacts for Gmail. This allows Mailchimp to be a much more useful tool for account wide distribution of information. Overall, Mailchimp allows much more ease of use than does Shared Contacts for Gmail.

Used a few other platforms that perform the same tasks as Mailchimp. These platforms, while are much more robust than Mailchimp, have a much steeper learning curve. Yesmail and Adobe Campaign have alot more to offer that would work great for teams that need more automation and deeper reporting on automated emails. I recommend Mailchimp for teams that are in the "crawl" or "walk" engagement vs using others for the "Run" phases.

As stated previously, I use Mailchimp as a secondary autoresponder (for transitions between platforms or in case of performance issues with the primary). My primary autoresponders are ConvertKit for marketing, and Kajabi for digital product delivery and support, although I am currently preparing to transition to FGFunnels.
ConvertKit, Infusionsoft (I went to ConvertKit shortly after it became Keap), and Ontraport are superior to Mailchimp.
Drip and Kajabi are about the same in terms of email capabilities - however since Drip is owned by Leadpages, there are some superior qualities in terms of the Leadpages integrations and function. Kajabi is far superior for course or digital product creators, since it's all in the same platform and Kajabi is a great LMS.
Mailchimp outperforms Constant Contact and AWeber in almost all areas.

Mailchimp is on par with Zoho Campaigns in terms of functionality. Mailchimp and Zoho Campaigns are quite similar in terms of overall performance. When it comes to email marketing campaigns, I think Zoho Campaigns has a leg up on Mailchimp since it offers more and better options. Mailchimp would be superior to Zoho Campaigns if this were improved upon.

Mailchimp in my opinion is way better at educating its users better than Klavyio. Additionally, Mailchimp has a better user interface and Klavyio makes it trickier than it should be making a campaign. The point is not to confuse users and make it easier to meet deadlines. Therefore, Mailchimp has a better way of setting up campaign creation and testing.

I really enjoyed HubSpot Marketing Hub, but with Mailchimp, you get more bang for your buck. Although Hubspot has a better opportunity for customization with the email templates, with Mailchimp I feel that the process of creating a campaign is easier, faster, and more simple. Mailchimp seems more straightforward in terms of organizing your audience, also. You don't have to create a full new list of contacts like in HubSpot Marketing Hub, you can easily assign Tags to already made lists to customize your audience quickly.

I really haven't tried any others...I started out with Mailchimp and it's been so easy to use and met all my needs. I wouldn't have a need to go with any others unless/until my list grows much larger. I might consider it then. Emma is one I've heard about that I might look at.

Mailchimp provides a variety of email templates but the problem in most cases is it doesn't fit our requirements. You need HTML and CSS knowledge to update the template. It supports only the English language, it should provide the template in other languages like Spanish or French, etc. Its interface is not very aesthetic that needs to improve. Campaign creation takes time because of the clumsy interface provided by Mailchimp.

  • Emma
We previously used Emma, but found it difficult and rigid to work with. Once we were in the process of developing a new newsletter design for our emails, we developed mockups and tested the mockups on both platforms. We were not able to achieve the desired design with Emma. However, we were able to do it in Mailchimp.

Mailchimp is arguably a stronger solution when it comes to simple, straightforward email marketing. If, however, you have a more peculiar use case or need to implement your solution with a more fully-fledged API and almost certainly pay less money per month, sendgrid is likely a better solution for you. To reiterate, Mailchimp is probably perfect for 90% of small businesses. We were part of the 10% where it was less than ideal.

Mailchimp meets the demands we have with customizing our email templates and targeting large audiences for our clients. It also allows us to set up triggers so that we can get reoccurring emails out about deals and information. It's also a great interface and easy to learn how to use.

Mailchimp just has so many more features and editability than the other competitors that my organization has used in the past. We're able to save current or new lists and organize our contact list so easily. Being able to categorize our contacts has been a game-changer for our clients and us.

Mailchimp was recommended to us by a colleague who had experience with it when we were discussing additional marketing opportunities. We had not considered any other email marketing tools and have not researched any other companies since we have started using Mailchimp as there has not been a need to.

Constant Contact is antiquated and clunky. Pardot is a huge solution and tied to Salesforce so it’s not aimed at the same user audience. I think Mailchimp is generally just easier to use and costs less than the alternatives on the market currently.

The integration with Salesforce was much more powerful with Mailchimp and was a key decision aspect to consider. Mailchimp also had a friendlier interface for use and a larger community to refer to for ideas and implementation tutorials. The amount of information that is available on how to use the software was also considered when selecting the product.
