It provides real-time network visibility into performance, traffic, and errors across routers, switches, firewalls, physical and virtual servers, and VMs. ManageEngine claims OpManager is a fully integrated monitoring and management platform, with the standard functionality that comes with such an integration:

  • Monitoring metrics, including packet loss, latency, errors, and performance bottlenecks

  • Multi-level customizable thresholds for alerts based on monitoring metrics

  • Whenever we do our monthly maintenance, we have to check the servers to be sure services are started and processes are running. Thanks to ManageEngine OpManager's monitoring, if we don't have any email alerts, we know we're good. We can also use the dashboard to see if the drives have been filling up since last time. Not in alert territory but trending upward.

  • Less downtime experienced due to production device outages
  • Thresholds coupled with alerts allow us to respond and proactively address overutilization of resources on monitored devices (e.g., being notified that a production file share server is approaching full disk capacity utilization before being filled allows us to increase disk space or remove older/unneeded files before production impact to end users is experienced)
