Third Party Oversight uses MetricStream to house vendor information and classifications. We use it for our risk assessment process as well where various departments fill out their risk assessments on the platform. However, it is very slow and it is not the easiest to use. At my old company, Salesforce proved to be extremely efficient and easy to use.

MetricStream does not track all activity on vendors (ex: any changes made to vendor descriptions, etc.) and does not allow to swiftly go between multiple tabs and screens. As our MetricStream contractor has not come up with a system yet to automate much of our process, the majority of it remains manual and eats up lots of the department's time.

We also have outages every once in a while, which is not uncommon for other cloud computing platforms, but it is extremely crippling when it is not back up and running within the day. Sometimes it is out for a few days. This overall takes away from department productivity.

  • Easy to navigate.
  • Speed/efficiency.
  • Missing functionality: Uploading documents (Excel sheets) into MetricStream and being able to pull information from that form into the program.
  • Improve number of outages and time that it is out for.
MetricStream is well suited for when you need to pull a report into Excel for further analysis.
It is not good for when information needs to be entered as this is all done manually by analysts and managers. If we can implement a way to take parts of uploaded documents and have the system automatically enter the information in the designated fields in MetricStream, it would cut out lots of manual work for our department.

  • It keeps records of all of our vendors and the corresponding documents.
  • Other departments can access information on vendors.
Archer is more risk-management-friendly in that it has a better interface and more room to conduct risk-related tasks and pull reports.
