  • To my knowledge Ms defender for cloud has secured our cloud data and all our cloud infrastructure and ensure safety to all of them.
  • I can also talk about cost since this tool has saved us money since no data is lost because previously without this tool data could be lost through threat attacks and we encounter huge data loss and this cost us money to do thorough maintenance.
  • For security architect it saves time to solve and respond to threats since this tool gives detailed reports of the threat activity.

  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations can prevent costly fines and legal issues, positively impacting ROI.
  • Effective cloud resource protection can optimize cloud spending and resource utilization, ultimately reducing cloud infrastructure costs.
  • The subscription costs associated with Defender for Cloud can add to an organization's operational expenses, impacting ROI.
  • Smaller organizations may find the feature set and complexity of Defender for Cloud unnecessary, potentially overinvesting in security solutions.

  • Thye most positive impact is that due to the recurring nature of security recommendations in MDC, organizations are now encouraged to do a more frequent security review of their environment which used to be yearly or quarterly earlier.
  • The detailed categorization of the vulnerabilities and alerts provides organizations with more context and objectives to do a security-based investment.
  • When going for all the MDC plans most organizations have seen a surge on their expenditures which has been a very negative impact.

  • I'd say it's positive because it just gives us an extra avenue to show our customers if they're using the product or have the product enabled. Just gives us a way to show them how to get everything out of their current security offerings without having to go out and get something new.

  • The logging is great, which allows us to keep track of the provenance and pedigree of events and how everything has happened. Again, from a development standpoint, it's just a little rough, but that might be more, again, because the solution's tailored to a more stable environment rather than one that we're just kind of thrown together to see what sticks.

  • I would say tremendous positive. Once we got it rolled out, I feel like if it's anything configuration and the time from engineering to get it stood up, it takes time, but it's worth the investment once you get through it.

  • It simplifies security management and saves time. I'm not sure, but I'm very confident it saved me a couple of paychecks by centralizing the data I need to secure the cloud environment.
  • I also utilize the inventory overview to monitor my team's activities and verify they are following internal regulations, as well as cost overruns.
  • The recommendations can be utilized as a valuable instructional tool. I have the team explain why they are receiving them, why they are not following them, and what they are doing differently.

  • The only negative is another portal to learn/use. But that comes with the Microsoft territory.
  • Having insight into multi-cloud and hybrid is really great.
  • Being able to automate the findings saves lots of time on our already limited-time team.
  • Auto-provisioning for a multitude of extensions (vulnerability, log analytics, defender for endpoint) gives our team time back to focus on what matters.
