Reviews
(1-21 of 21)Dynamics BC is central to your business
- The cost of BC vs GP , BC is more cost effective
- We are saving on the need for custom integration
- The support for BC is very good.
The Best Business Management System
- Self-service reporting tools enables immediate access to all relevant data leading to more efficient response times.
- Increased productivity because NAV is easy to use therefore easily applicable to staff. It is very simplified.
- We're able to keep better track of key parts that are crucial to our manufacturing process, since they are imported. Which means we meet our deadlines, that means happy clients.
- Due to the streamlined process, the reporting is more consistent and our review meetings are more productive.
Business Central -- If your business is growing, start here first
- Two things. 1st, it has allowed us to clean up our GL by dropping our old platform and building onto this new one. The old one had a ton of bad entries and old information, so we're more efficient and effective as a byproduct of this transition. 2nd, the reporting is top-notch. It's so easy a child could learn it, which makes planning budgets and auditing transactions a breeze.
- Better manufacturing overview
- Better inventory control
- Just about the same as GP in the other areas
- Better visibility of ROI throughout each period. Orders entered, shipped, and backlogs are very visible to authorized users upon login.
- Purchasing and inventory turns have been better realized. Out of stock parts reduced.
- A future customer portal will enhance the customer experience by pulling NAC data into a web-based UI. However, the portal is a separate expense.
- Time savings realized by being able to generate views or reports versus asking IT or accounting to pull a custom report.
- Better financial reporting, better financial control assurance.
- Better tracking of the sales lifecycle.
- Reasonable product price helps to increase ROI.
My Microsoft Dynamics NAV Review
- Budget forecast and real time calculation is critical to us as non-profit organization.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV! the best tool on the market for financial and marketing management.
- The payroll process is now simple since we are able to handle payroll calculations. For that reason, we do not encounter errors while processing payroll data.
- Inventory planning is also a negative impact that we are enjoying with implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Customer invoicing is also straightforward.
Great investment
- Easy to use
- Presents well
- The packaged reports fulfill our needs
NAV will help you Navigate
- The ROI has been good although we are still early in the process of using NAV.
- NAV has made it so much easier to track project details and assess overall performance.
- NAV has given more visibility on financials and a quicker way to assess financial objectives.
Microsoft Dyanmics NAV is a great software to use for any organization's finance needs
- It's been a very positive effect because the reports and notifications within the software ensure duplications aren't allowed and will provide us with all the information needed to stay on top of our budget and grants. We aren't overpaying vendors, sending duplicate payments, or forgetting to spend available grant money because the software system will notify us so that we can take the necessary action(s) needed.
- The only negative impact we've had in regards to the software is that we currently do not have it in our budget to upgrade and therefore have to use it via the virtual machine. Most of our users are not computer savvy and have issues when the virtual computer doesn't automatically open the software to the sign in page, so we get increased calls to our IT Helpdesk. If we had the funds to upgrade to the latest version of the software then we wouldn't have issues with compatibility or using the virtual computer to run the software.
NAV is a real winner!
- Sped up many processes, including payroll and our recurring payables.
Dynamics-NAV from a developer's viewpoint
- Dynamics NAV is the preferred Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for companies that want an end-to-end solution flexible enough to support their unique needs but robust enough to handle complex business processes. It offers a very fast implementation, a highly customizable platform to fit your business' changing needs and a fully functional solution that is simple to use allowing for an easier user experience. The net result is a quicker ROI and lower implementation costs.
- The single biggest expense to most systems is the user license. Since NAV uses concurrent sessions and not named the actual expense can be lower due to access sharing. Add to this a very quick turnaround on new license purchases (many times it is same day) you only purchase the actual number of license needed.
An affordable ERP for small to mid-size companies
- One of the good things is that is integrated with SQL Server database which lets you interact with other applications via standard database tables and exploit your information via Business Intelligence tools
Microsoft Dynamics NAV is flexible, solid and scalable
- Gives us a good handle on cost controls.
- Tight integration has allowed complete visibility into the ordering and manufacturing process.
- Be careful not to modify code, just because you can. It will come back to bite you later. It's best to try to achieve desired results outside of modifications to Dynamics NAV processing logic whenever possible.
Dynamics Nav is a great ERP system for Small to midsize companies looking to do warehousing and manufacturing!
- We were able to implement the ERP applications with a much lower cost than other ERP platforms. The savings allowed us to have a much greater ROI.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV - Experienced User/Developer
- Automation processing, including EDI functionality, has increased employee efficiency and prevented the need for adding additional employees.
- Implementation of the warehouse functionality, including cycle counts, has resulted in better inventory control/less shrinkage.
- Implementation of e-Ship and e-Receive, has resulted in greater efficiency and order accuracy.
- It has provided a main warehouse for all key data regarding clients and financial data.
Why NAV?
- Allowed for unification of processes across company.
