Implementation Support

Implementation of the product seemed easy enough. It was already in use before my first day. I've haven't had any problems using it. Neither has anyone else that I know of. System documents & modules are configured to our company's specific needs.

Training Support

I've used View Help, the Customer Community, MIP Website and What's New for various updates, tips, and resources. I've learned things that I wasn't taught initially. It helped me get a better understanding of my position at the company and nonprofit accounting in general.

Deployment Flexibility

We use MIP Fund Accounting on-premise. The flexibility of it helps us with everyday transactions & activities. I feel it gives me a better understanding of nonprofit accounting. It helps me to understand what I've learned in college.

The Knowledge Base is helpful and the Community Brands MIP Fund Accounting Discussion group is a great place to learn from others who are using the system. I've learned more from discussion group and I try to participate and help others with questions they have.

MIP does a great job of managing funds from multiple sources. Every entry can be coded to a funding source, and the program that used the funds. It can also be coded to different locations like branch offices.

Implementation Support

Easily, we just downloaded the software module. You do however have setup the reports yourself. It was fairly easy. You just pick the report type ie Balance sheet and select the GL codes for each category.

Training Support

I have not done an official community brands training. There are some basic demos on youtube that seem good for training.

Deployment Flexibility

We utilized the cloud software for a short period of time. Being able to access the software from anywhere is helpful if you work from home or arent in the office that day. We actually switched back to the on-premise which I now have access to at home through a laptop.

I have had other staff members participant in the trainings to familiarize themselves with the new functions, Accounts Payable and general ledger/financial statement reporting.

In cloud...as previously mentioned the only issue was the delay to repair our files after the security breach earlier this year which unfortunately was shortly after we implemented the system.
