Mixrank was used on our publisher development team. We used the platform to search for specific technologies and apps throughout the Google Playstore and Apple Appstore. It played a pivotal role in searching, finding and contacting the appropriate companies. The platform has the capability to search for specific technologies (SDKs) in apps throughout the playstore and appstore.
  • Search capability was very good. Able to search by downloads, SDK, Category, etc.
  • Mixrank provides some contact information for the organizations you are searching for.
  • The pivot table function was very helpful for granular targeting.
  • The interface is not as user friendly as other platforms.
  • Contact information can be off with regards to smaller indie publishers/developers.
  • I would like to edit the information that is provided in CSV reports.
If your organization is looking to find insights on the mobile app space and you are interested in seeing the technologies that are installed in apps, Mixrank is right for you. They have the ability to target by category, downloads, SDKs. and much more. Mixrank seems to be 100% mobile focused, so if your organization is looking for web analytics, Mixrank wont suffice.

We use mixrank for my team for lead prospecting and to do market reseasrch on which publishers are using which ad monetization platforms. our account management team uses it as well. We use it in preparation of our sales calls and meetings. We also use the reporting feature to pull lists of prospects and publishers.
  • Easy to use UI
  • Has a pretty good range of support for iOS, Android and mobile web.
  • Lists are easy to pull
  • Good customer support.
  • the UI is easy to use but not the most appealing visually.
  • The accuracy can be worked on. Often times it says an app is using a specific SDK but we confirm that is false when speaking with the publisher directly.
  • Lead lists provide too many irrelevant fields and have to manually delete thus wasting time.
MixRank does a decent job at lead prospecting and allows users to pull a significant list quickly. Overall it is a decent product and I've used it at both of my prior companies.

It is best suited for sales teams or account management teams trying to find emails or prospects and determine which platforms they are using in order to make sales calls more focus and relevant.
