Worth the price of admission

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The Marketing department utilizes Monday to facilitate and track all of our projects and tasks throughout the company.

Pros

  • Tracking deadlines
  • Provides detailed information to other users
  • Notifies others of the progress of a project or task
  • Allows users to isolate tasks by the individual
  • Archives all projects and tasks automatically
  • Allows users to attach files (i.e., PDFs, Microsoft Office, etc) to a subsection
  • Segregates departments or clients into campaigns

Cons

  • The browser version uses a good deal of CPU/RAM memory
  • Difficult to track time and expenses
  • Menu options can get deep into selecting subtasks

Return on Investment

  • Reduces group meeting times
  • Mobile app works well on the go
  • Can be RAM intensive if using the software on a browser

Other Software Used

Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Advertising Cloud, Microsoft 365

Easy for anyone to get started, advanced features, and streamlined processes

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

monday marketer helps us establish a link between our top campaign initiatives, content, goals, and various tasks that help get us across the finish line. Using this tool has streamlined our ability to manage important items with the help of automation, people assignment, and of course - it helps that the tool is so intuitive. Anybody can get to know the tool really quickly, which is great for onboarding new team members.

Pros

  • Automatic reminders when due dates approach for the assigned individuals or groups.
  • Mirrored columns help us share information that should be visible on multiple boards and used for different parts of the content, campaign, or promotion process.
  • Automation and integrations with other apps, like Zapier, help us bring more of our Mar-Tech stack into the mix, which makes the tool even easier to use. We can easily sync information between Salesforce campaigns and monday marketer, for example.

Cons

  • Navigation feels a little too segmented. Workspaces provide isolation that is sometimes necessary, but in some respects, it feels too isolated and not super easy to navigate between workspaces. There is a dropdown to switch workspaces, but there used to be icons in the sidebar, which made it a simple one-click maneuver.
  • More flexibility with form options would be nice. For example, certain columns are still not supported, which requires us to implement workarounds. I'd like to see support for People columns and Mirrored columns so that during form submission, people can make these selections.
  • Notifications generally seem excessive, so I have them routed (with Rules) to a particular folder. Being able to have more control over what types of notifications other team members or I receive would be ideal and make notifications much more useful.

Return on Investment

  • Significant time savings for the whole team
  • Advanced our maturity within our global organization above most other teams
  • Super easy to collaborate and organize thoughts

One of the best tool for Project and workflows managment.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

monday marketer is now an essential part of my professional life, it's a wonderful tool to track all of your projects/assignments at once. Earlier we have dependencies on multiple excel files to keep tracking of current projects or assignments, but monday marketer solved all our problems at once, now I can have a complete 360-degree view of any projects, that are aligned with the project, the current status of the project, what is done and what is left, different boards for the different project all at same place helps me a lot, User-friendly UI helps you to organize your projects and assignments. personally, I love the automation and notification alerts for any changes or status updates for the items.

Pros

  • One can easily create a Project work breakdown structure that helps us to understand the current status of the project.
  • Easily assigning users, customization is par excellence, and different types of data attachments are the coolest feature.
  • Automation, forms, and customized notifications are wonderful features that make our work easy.

Cons

  • If we can have in-built formulas for calculation, and create macros types of features in monday marketer then it will be more helpful to us.
  • monday marketer forms should have more room for creativity, would love it if their developers add some cool features in their forms feature.
  • Mobile app somewhere lags and doesn't refresh itself.

Return on Investment

  • It helps us in lowering down our chain of email communication for project status justifications.
  • Have lowered down our depencies on excel.
  • Saves our time in seeking updates for other team members across regions.

Our team would not perform nearly as well without monday.com keeping us on track.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is being used in our Marketing department. We needed a way to keep track of all the moving parts of our Creative projects. Everything from which date the writing and design needs to be done, when it is being published, along with the statuses of each element as well. We use the link columns as well to keep track of the links for different assets. We also use this platform to forecast what projects are coming up as well as what projects have been finished.

Pros

  • Great usability - Once you know the platform, it is easy to customize it to fit your needs.
  • Great customer service - You can email them anytime and ask questions and they are very responsive. They will either direct you on how to accomplish what you are looking for, provide work arounds, or let the dev team know that that feature would be helpful.
  • Great tutorials and resources - They have lots of YouTube video tutorials and articles on their website to help explain different features to you. They also do occasional webinars to explain new things as well.
  • They have a lot of different views for the boards as well. You can see it in the normal table/line item view, but you can also create a Gantt chart view, timeline view, etc. You can also sort by a specific person and only see the items that they are assigned to, which is super helpful for my team members.

Cons

  • It would be nice to be able to auto-number some groups in a board. We put numbers by prioritized projects/groups on our board, but when we re-order we have to manually re-number all of those tasks.
  • It would be nice to have the ability to expand all sub-items at one time. I think this feature could be nice, but when we are reviewing the board as a team, it is not efficient to have to click each sub-item button to see those items.

Return on Investment

  • It has saved our team a lot of time. It allows our Creatives to quickly see what projects should be on their priority list, as well as where the other elements of each project are at.
  • The update feature allows our team to have focused communication regarding different tasks. It's easy to tag in team members and ask questions, provide links to finished assets, etc.
  • Before I joined the team, they were debating whether this software was the right choice and thinking about switching. When I joined the team, I really owned monday.com and got to learn the software. I figured out ways to make my team's boards more efficient and useful, which has in turn greatly increased the employee adoption of this software. There are now best practices and processes in place regarding this platform which has made it easier for everyone - we all want to keep monday.com now!

  • Project Management.
  • Creative Requests.
  • Automations.

Cons

  • UI/UX is not always great.
  • Expensive to add large teams.
  • More integrations.

Return on Investment

  • Our team is more efficient.
