If we needed to find another software, our company would evaluate more in depth with many other software before making a decision on one and sticking with it. I believe trial periods, testing, and overall user interface would play a bigger factor in our decision, but from our minimal testing the first time around monday.com seemed to be what we were looking for.

I would look deeper at CRM + project management in one system. It's a challenge to run a company, train different departments, and scale at the same time. If Monday.com was created to help a new startup with no revenue systematically become a $100 million dollar entity, it would own the largest segment of business owners like myself.

I would create a project or an existing project in Excel. I would import them in monday.com. I would create some dashboards on paper and create them in monday.com. I would work with a remote team member and test monday.com for two weeks and make a decision. So start working right away in it and use it.

The truth is I doubt that my argument will change because so far there is nothing that makes me change my mind with what I think and feel about the application. There have not been many changes and it has remained both useful and effective at the moment that I have been using it.

We would set clearer expectations around onboarding. Our team has a lot of moving pieces and runs very lean, and we were really hoping for (and would happily have paid for) more hand-holding in building our our main workflow. I still think we're probably underutilizing some features, but they would rely on deeper adoption by all users and we're focused on broad adoption.

I would have tried to bargain for immediate monday.com support from the get-go. We were exposed to the support team (Lauren Cook) only recently. If she had pitched to us at the beginning, I think we would have upgraded sooner. Much sooner. She is amazing.
