I use Morningstar Direct to research my own thoughts on charts and the company's investments. The ability to access a grid and export to excel really helps chose between them. The announcements feature alerts and can be used to avoid bad decisions or help make good ones further down the line.
- Best for research.
- Analyst reporting is fantastic.
- The ability to look at a wide variety of assets is great.
- The system is sometimes slow.
- Glitchy and sometimes hard to use.
- Its vast research.
- The data it holds in its database.
- Returns not yet realised.
Morningstar is slightly more buggy and laggy. But includes far more data and is more trusted.
