Users have reported that the software has been instrumental in increasing their user base and obtaining timely feedback. With the ability to create effective marketing campaigns and map data in real-time, customers have successfully marketed via emails using the software. This tool not only saves time for the creative team by allowing the reuse of campaigns, but it also eliminates the need for coding and creating emails, enabling users to focus on content and design. The software offers a range of dynamic email tools, such as countdown timers and scratch-off functionality, which have proven effective in creating urgency during sale periods and revealing new products or mystery offers. Additionally, features like web crop allow for the inclusion of available products from websites into emails, while live polling within emails has increased user engagement. The software's personalization capabilities have positively impacted click-to-open rates and overall engagement, solving personalization challenges and facilitating 1:1 communication with customers. It also addresses production challenges by automating content creation and reducing time to market.

We use Movable Ink in our marketing department across our website and email, but primarily email. It helps us provide personalized, targeted content to our customers rather than general content that may not apply to them.
  • Personalization--Everyone likes to see their name in lights. Movable Ink allows you to pull in content such as their name, locations that are closest to them, and content they're actually interested in.
  • Unique Features--Movable Ink provides a variety of apps that can plugged into emails to make the experience more unique and exciting, such as countdown timers, add to calendar features for events, maps, and social feeds.
  • Tracking--Adding snippets of code to emails allow you to track data, such as opens, impressions, and clickthroughs. You can also track how individuals interact with specific pieces of the email.
  • User Friendly--Easy to build within apps for those who aren't graphic designers.
  • Organization--Once you start a campaign, that's the location the campaign lives in. You can't move or migrate. The only way to "move" the campaign is to create a new one in the correct location.
  • Communication--We use Movable Ink in a more complex way than their average client. Getting the information we need is sometimes an exercise in frustration because our contact needs to get with the developers and then back to us. Sometimes things get lost in translation. Answers also aren't always timely.
Movable Ink is great for broad sales in a company with locations all over. Much more difficult when you sell a very specific product that isn't necessarily always needed by consumers.

We use Movable Ink in a variety of ways in our email communications. It's become a vital part of our ability to personalize email content for our customers across multiple email channels and segments. Additionally, it has the ability to carry that personalization to the website and also collect behavioral data that we can use for re-targeting. The personalization capabilities have had a strong positive effect on our CTOR and overall engagement.
  • Personalization within email via merge fields from your ESP.
  • Targeting based on contextual and behavioral rules that are built into the platform, as well as the ability to utilize your own data for targeting purposes.
  • The creative process is as simple or complex as you decide to make it and results can be achieved quickly.
  • Account management and technical support is lacking. Account managers often are not privy to technical information or knowledge that can often be required for custom solutions.
  • New feature rollouts are not always well communicated.
Any business that sends out a lot of email communications, and has accessible data that they can, at the very least, format in CSV sheets can utilize [Moveable Ink] with reasonable success. Depending on how your data is housed or received, the integration within Movable Ink is quite simple. I would recommend looking at the list of partners that Movable Ink integrate with. If your business is utilizing any of them regularly, it would make integration even easier.

If you do not do a lot with email or your data is not easily accessible I would not recommend Movable Ink.

  • Positive as mentioned previously - it has increased engagement in emails which has led to more business.
  • Negative would definitely be that some solutions can take too long to develop without any ROI in the process.
Movable Ink is the better product by far. They offer more solutions across multiple channels and their platform is easier to use and better organized.

Movable Ink is jointly utilized by our creative and email marketing teams. We utilize the platform to enhance the creativity and personalization of our email marketing campaigns. We also have tested out using some of their functionality on landing pages as well which is a new use case.
  • Clean and easy to use, user interface and short ramp up time required to implement within email service providers
  • Email use cases are helpful to take personalization in email to the next level, they can help a brands emails stand out vs. competitors in some scenarios.
  • The platform is flexible to work with various ESPs; I've personally used Movable Ink with 3 platforms and have seen no issues.
  • I think they could improve with how to provide strategic guidance to customers on applications and use cases. A lot of recommendations aren't applicable to new business models/scenarios
  • Their transition to onsite/landing page use cases was somewhat effective but we ran into some hiccups with applying the technology onsite
I think Movable Ink is a great tool if a brand is very deal/promotion heavy and aims to differentiate itself from competitors. With the 3 brands I've worked with, this was very effective and also provided our creative team with extra tools to aid in differentiating campaigns.

In addition with brands that have differentiated products/services by location - it is also very effective. With brands that have retail locations or different offers in different locales it is very helpful to differentiate content by location.

  • Over a 9 month period we conducted an analysis and saw a 4.6 return on ad spend with using Movable Ink in various email marketing campaigns.
  • Using their web crop feature, we also saw time savings with managing products showcased in email that were available on our website.
Liveclicker was a competitor that I've analyzed in the past. They honestly have almost all of the same features. I think movable ink was a little stronger with their account management support
