Workday Adaptive Planning is a software we use specifically for Financial Planning and Analysis. It is much more customizable, and we use it throughout the budgeting and forecasting process. For our instance, we build off of NetSuite ERP as the so-called source of truth for our data. For me personally, I find Adaptive much more user friendly.

NetSuite ERP has better revenue recognition module and has a consolidations module that the other softwares may lack or may have very basic tools. NetSuite ERP has great list of connections with bridges with other softwares and that makes NetSuite ERP great ERP. NetSuite ERP has outstanding collections tool, which we use to increase our cash flow collections.

NetSuite ERP it probably the best of the ERP systems I have used. Quickbooks is really intended for smaller companies and SAP for very large (though it is not very flexible and navigation of the system is a nightmare). Openbravo was probably the most flexible of the systems but it is not for everyone and requires a decent amount of man hours to get to a point that it makes sense. NetSuite ERP is "out of the box ready" (it still requires a decent implementation period in my opinion) and can be made to work for most orgs as long as you set it up with all of your issues and future growth in mind.

Honestly, not a whole lot. We are kind of adjacent to NetSuite. I have a lot of experience with Salesforce and I know that sometimes the functionality can kind of compete with each other, although the systems serve different purposes, but I have not used another major ERP system like NetSuite. I think NetSuite does a good job of trying to get every use case solved. They do a good job of finding somebody who does, whether it's through building an application that's available in the marketplace and integrating that directly into NetSuite and making it a core part of the program. Or if it's just listening to your customers and understanding what they need. I think they do a really good job at that. You don't really find that at a lot of other big ERP companies.

As I said, SAP and Oracle Fusion are the ones that I've used in the past. I feel NetSuite is definitely superior in a lot of ways. First UI and then search capabilities. And then I think the back engine probably works really better. That's why it's quicker, and faster, and you are able to get to the details way sooner than you.

Well, the reason why I'm with NetSuite is because obviously it beats out those other options quite considerably. It gave us the whole ecosystem that gave us everything we needed. I didn't need a dedicated administrator whose full-time job is to deal with it like our current system would need to really be useful. I can find people or train people how to use it right away. So for us, that really beats it out compared to the Sage and QuickBooks where we were looking at it from a perspective of, yeah, we can find people who are experts in those fields. They don't scale up to the size that we need as we're going to really quickly go from R&D company into doing tens of millions of dollars a year in revenue and activities. So that's where it beats us out over say Sage or QuickBooks is it's got that complete scalability. We can go to multiple subsidiaries, foreign currency, not a problem. It's got that full functionality.

NetSuite, it's right up there with Dynamics and Salesforce. I think it's primarily focused on tracking the finance side of things in our business, but the ability to API into so many other different things and have so many already-built solutions that we can just plug in makes it good.

for the price point and that would handle our usage billing needs Sage Intacct was the only option that competed -- visually and some key feature like saved searches/export, reporting and NSPB pushed NetSuite about Sage -- but overall we liked and trusted the sales team at NetSuite more

In my opinion, NetSuite ERP has similar capabilities, but at a fraction of the cost. Oracle is a tier 1 solution and I was part of the selection and implementation team for this solution. Implementation was intense and it took us 8 months to install. NetSuite ERP we installed and set-up in 4 months. We have never had to pay for an upgrade with NetSuite ERP. Oracle repackaged their E-Business suite and called it Fusion, requiring you to pay for an upgrade if you wanted to get their enhanced technology, never mind that you had to pay 21% support fee annually that was supposed to cover upgrades to the software. With Oracle, we were sold the software as a mid-sized company for $250k and by the time we were done the cost was 3 time that or $750k and we were paying $200k annually for thier hosted solution.

I think PLEX has a much older UI and I personally have more experience using PLEX than NetSuite ERP however NetSuite ERP has a significant amount of customizations that PLEX does not have which allows for more flexibility

The user interface of NetSuite ERP is more intuitive and the data captured in the transactions is more detailed. There appears to be more features in NetSuite ERP and flexibility in what can be done, ie Saved Searches, versus the other system.

Our major requirement was order management, revenue management, automated billing, invoicing, project management, financial accounting use cases & inbound and outbound integrations to other applications such as Salesforce, Mavenlink, Zip, Navan, Stripe etc.. When we evaluated other products against these use cases we found that NetSuite was covering both technical and functional requirements.

NetSuite ERP left Sage Intacct in the dust years ago. It was actually a painful experience to join a company not on NetSuite ERP after having been NetSuite ERP user historically. It was a joy to transition that same company to NetSuite ERP and reap the benefits once again.
