I use Bonterra Network for Good as our primary donor management and fundraising platform. It centralizes donor records, online giving, recurring donations, and campaign tracking in one system, allowing us to manage relationships efficiently and maintain accurate financial and engagement data. The platform addresses key business challenges including donor data fragmentation, manual reporting, and limited visibility into donor retention and giving trends. Our use case spans daily donor management, year-end and campaign fundraising, monthly email newsletters, donor acknowledgment through both emails and videos and tax receipt generation, and reporting for board updates and grant compliance—enabling a small team to operate efficiently while scaling fundraising efforts and strengthening donor stewardship.

We used Network for Good as our donor CRM. There were many features we liked; mainly, we could easily see whether the donor received the communication and whether they engaged with it.

We were able to see if a donor opened the email and where they clicked, which helped us design more strategic emails.

Bonterra Network for Good has many features that are very attractive to our organization and that help me save time. It is a fantastic Donor Management system that allows us to track donor interactions, donations, & volunteer time. It also has some really great communication features whether you want to send an email, text or direct mail piece to your donors. You can also run online campaigns easily from their software as well as Silent Auctions. One of their new features Que has been extremely helpful. Que is their new AI assistant to your development team. I've been able to craft letters for year end and thank you's using Que. You can also receive helpful suggestions and coaching from anything as simple as which donors may be ones to reach out to regarding monthly giving or how should you approach lapsed donors or increase donor retention. I have found their AI tool to be supremely helpful.

Their new AI assistant Que is super helpful and reliable.

Cons

As they have grown, I have had some functionality issues like Gateway errors, but they are on top of addressing technical issues quickly and with ongoing communication.

Return on Investment

This platform/software has really helped me to save time in my donor interactions. Something that would take me a couple of days to complete, has helped me to trim it down to a couple of hours.
We have also been able to provide better reporting to our Board of Directors.
We have also increased the number of lapsed donors back to active donors. Last year, by year end, we had 8 lapsed donors reactivated. Mid year of this year, we have reactivated 18 lapsed donors.
