STEPS' Communications Committee uses NFG. Although not everyone on the committee is registered to use NFG, there are 3 of us who use it. One of the business problem we faced in the beginning was needing to create an email blast in addition to a campaign page, which was confusing and time consuming in the beginning.
  • Provide coaching
  • Organizes donors/amounts
  • Thank you reminders
  • When creating a campaign page - it looks strange with then start/end dates/times shown if campaign runs for more than 1 day
  • NFG should be able to download more than jpeg documents
  • There is no way of changing the delivery time
Network For Good was well-suited for STEPS for a number of reasons. In the past, we weren't using the system we used to it's full potential. With NFG, our coach walked us through the process and showed us what it was that we gain by organizing out donors in groups and to be able to have an instant fundraising record at our fingertips.

Our nonprofit is run entirely by volunteers, who want to support the public school we send our children to. Network For Good has reduced the number of hours our volunteers need to commit to efficiently and professionally communicate with donors. We also use NFG to organize and collect donations whether it be for products or monetary. The NFG platform not only helps us track donations, but also gives us easy-to-read reports and visuals to help us more accurately analyze the data. In addition to these awesome tools, NFG also helps us thank our donors in a timely, professional manner. We can see if they received it and when they opened it. Making video recordings for larger donors is an especially nice touch. Our volunteers had previously spent hours upon hours organizing and managing donations. NFG has not only streamlined our work but also made everything look more professional. Our donors are experiencing an increase in confidence that their money is being used wisely to promote our mission. I cannot express my satisfaction with NFG’s support for our nonprofit! Volunteering in this role is joyous again.
  • NSG reports data to our nonprofit in visuals and reports that makes sense.
  • Network For Good thanks donors immediately and also reminds us to thank them personally. In NFG, it is extremely easy to build templates that insert the donor's name amount and date along with an up-to-date message from the president.
  • NFG gives our nonprofit the professional look and feel our donors experience with larger nonprofits with paid employees. We are all volunteers!
  • When our nonprofit first set up our systems with Network For Good we were offered an immense amount of support. It might’ve been even overwhelming and over the top. At the same time, everything they did to help us set up was well explained and supported, and done accurately.
Network For Good is extremely well suited for nonprofits that have a board of directors who are all volunteers. Especially busy parents who are trying to support the school their kids are attending.

We use Network for Good to manage our donors and raise funds for our non-profit organization. It allows us to see who donates, when, how much, etc., and to which campaign at the click of a button. It also supports us with tools for fundraising, like email blasts, videos, newsletters, etc.
  • Keeps track of donors and acknowledgements
  • Provides templates for messages
  • Offers support from professionals in fund raising with coaches
  • Direct deposit of donations
  • Flexibility in messaging--templates are great, but sometimes want to change format, etc.
The record keeping is great-- the dashboards present information in a format suitable for sharing with boards. The templates offer a starting place for messaging-- so important to keep in touch with donors, and Network for Good makes it easy. Donors are organized into groups that allow for specific messaging.
There is no "text to give" function-- we can have donors text to a number, but then they are taken to the regular giving page. Would be nice to have a cleaner function here.

Network for Good has been a game changer for us. Our development team uses it to keep track of donations, donors and contacts. It's so easy to develop a list of any kind for whatever we are working on! If we need the info of all $500+ donors over the past 3 years, it's there in less than a minute. Sending out thank you emails and letters is so simple. The graphs that show the donations by month are visually appealing and so helpful! <br>I don't know what we would do without it.
  • Donation records
  • Email newsletter design
  • Simple Thank You letters and emails
  • Easy reports
  • If it were a bit more affordable for nonprofits, that would be awesome! It's definitely worth what we pay, but some newer nonprofits might have trouble working that in a budget.
If you are a nonprofit that receives donations, this is a must-have. Keeping track of donors and donations is so simple this way! I'm sure there are many features we haven't even tapped into, and when we have more downtime, I look forward to checking them out. Oh! That reminds me, there are often free webinars that help nonprofits in a multitude of areas. And they are super helpful if you have a problem.

I guess if your budget doesn't allow it, maybe it would be better to wait a bit. Or if you have a very small number of donors that could be kept in a filing system, it might not be necessary.

At Mountain Empire Older Citizens, Inc., we use Network for Good for maintaining our fundraising efforts for several programs within the agency. We use the Network for Good software for communications, tracking donations, sending "thank you" letters and emails, maintaining the mailing lists and email lists. The software has made a huge difference in the behind-the-scenes work of fundraising for us. Before we started using Network for Good, our process was in multiple pieces. It has streamlined our communications process and online donation process. We now have the text to donate option through the software. Network for Good is very user-friendly and they were very helpful in helping us import our information and setting everything up. It has opened up new possibilities for us to fundraise that we were not aware of before.
  • Communication
  • Outreach
  • Marketing
  • Friendly and helpful staff
  • Some reports
Network for Good is well suited for non-profit agencies like MEOC. It makes the fundraising process more streamlined and gives us the capability to do outreach we were not able to do before. It is also great for tracking donations and donors.

Our non-profit has not adopted a donor management system until we discovered Network for Good. We are using it to build our donor base, track all giving, and regularly communicate with our stakeholders. It is being used by the board of directors and our office administrator. We have solved many problems by recording and tracking giving so that it can be disseminated (transparency) to our directors and stakeholders.
  • Network for Good provides consistent communication on updates, new features, training, etc.
  • Network for Good has a support team that is easily accessible and pleasant to work with.
  • Network for Good has developed a system that is easy and self-explanatory.
  • I wish that Network for Good communication templates could be integrated with Canva like MailChimp is able to do.
Network for Good is simple, easy to implement, and provides multiple opportunities for our small nonprofit organization to identify new donors, connect with current donors, and provide regular and continual communication opportunities. The system can be tailored to our unique and individual needs and that was very important to our organization. I like that the network for a good support team is always available when we need them and that we are not alone in this new endeavor.

I am using Network for Good across our whole organization to build a new, online fundraising strategy. The current fundraising strategies that we were using were archaic and not working for us. Network for Good offered us the guidance and training we needed to get started. We are a tiny nonprofit agency with a non-fundraising board. It was important for me to choose a plan that would help us now as well as guide us into the future.
  • They keep the client on track
  • Network for Good provides gentle guidance and respects the clients time
  • They follow up with helpful ideas and notes to review
  • There are so many webinars and offerings but my schedule is so full that I can't participate. It's almost like I need a full-time person just for Network for Good
  • I am not very tech-savvy and I find I am a bit behind the learning curve. While there is a lot of help offered, I just don't have the time to take advantage of it.
  • I can't think of a third example!
Network for Good is well suited for agencies that have a designated staff person who can spend a lot of time working with the program. It is also well suited for agencies that have some fundraising strategies in place. For agencies like mine with little social media and online presence, it is a little more difficult. I find that many of my donors do not provide their email addresses and keeping track of current addresses is labor-intensive.

We have used Network for Good in the past for networking with our donors and to give information to those who search on Network for Good about the services that we provide. It helps us get the word out to other agencies, foundations, donors, potential clients, etc.
  • Ease of use of the website
  • Support from the staff at Network for Good
  • Returning calls when there is a problem you are having regarding an error made on our part, or not knowing how to go forward in the process.
  • I would like there to be a portion that is open to the entire public or for potential donors other than our own list. We would not have direct contact with the donors or foundations, but that those entities would be able to review what we put in and decide to support our non-profit.
It does take a lot of upfront work to get all of your information from your non-profit uploaded and ready for others to view, but after that, you can just update as you go year after year. They can reach many foundations and donors that we may night be able to reach on our own.

Dress for Success Memphis is a non-profit organization that provides interview and work-appropriate attire, confidence boosts, and career development to women making the transition into the workplace. We have set up on several occasions Facebook Donations and Fundraising Drives over the past four years. Just this last year we were granted the JumpStart Fundraising Platform by the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis. Network for Good has provided valuable support and resources that were needed for us to successfully implement and utilize the platform. JumpStart is our major communicator with Clients and Donors. It helps us to successfully get our message as a non-profit out to the Memphis Community.
  • Provided detailed instructions on how to
  • Platform is easy to use
  • Professional support from the Strategic Fundraising Coach
  • Periodic cohort sessions have been empowering
  • Quicker or Easier Access to Groups
  • Easier set up of letters; just a cut and paste system for company Thank You Letters
I highly recommend any non-profit to secure and engage in Network for Good. I must admit, having to pivot to so many virtual communications with clients, Donors and Funders was initially a real bummer; the JumpStart platform and Network for Good made things easier to pivot. Personally, my video communications and thank you have been a really big hit for my audience. They are appreciated which brings more positive attention to our organization and its' mission.

We use Network For Good throughout the organization for both donation and programming tracking and communication, helping us to craft the right message to our supporters and those that WE support. It's very convenient to have all of our data in one location, and while we do backups locally, it's also nice having a secure cloud-based database.
  • Easy to manage groups so we can target program info to patients and support requests to donors.
  • Automatic receipts with the option to have the donor cover the 3% processing fee is great (almost every donor chooses to cover the fee).
  • Easy export and import of data.
  • We'd appreciate even more template options for newsletters and event invites.
  • It's easier for us to pull monthly donation reports from "DonateNow" than from Network For Good. Please fix that. I'd be happy to discuss that with you.
Great at event announcements and invitations! Great at tracking donations and easily accessing info regarding top donors. Text to Give - only as good as the info you have in your database. Plus, you need recipient permission to have them on your text blast. A great tool once it's set up.

We use Network for Good for its CRM capabilities as well as its online donation platform. As a small nonprofit, the all-in-one online portal helps us manage our time and resources wisely. In the past we had multiple programs (and hard copy systems) in place to handle mail lists, donor lists, donation tracking, event tracking, etc. Now we have everything in one place and each element is well integrated with the next.
  • Easy to use tools for communicating with donors.
  • Easy to create online donation pages.
  • Seamless integration of information.
  • I don't use the reporting feature as much as I could because it doesn't feel intuitive.
Network for Good is great for small users like Readiness Center because we don't have to have a merchant account to accept online donations. Their campaign pages are easy to customize and simple enough to manage with only one person. It can be pricy, depending on how many records you have, but the plus side to that is I am motivated to keep our database clean!

NFG is used to store our donor information, do our newsletters, reporting, texts and event campaigns. The database is used by all of our employees and has been a time saver for us. It provides us with the necessary tools to communicate to our members and donors, provides reporting on several levels (donors, events, etc.) and is easy to navigate.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Donor tracking.
  • Event communication and tracking.
  • Communication via text and newsletters to our donors/members.
  • Text to give.
  • When adding information for a couple, I feel there should be separate fields for each person. For example, if one is a descendant of the holocaust and the other isn't, there is no place to put that in groups.
Excellent for donor tracking and communication. Excellent for event registration. Excellent for reporting.

We use Network for Good as our marketing database. It is used across our whole organization. It makes many of our communications with our supporters easier than other databases that we have tried. We are using "Text to Give" features and also attaching some to text messages to improve our impact. Network for Good is good for reminding us of donors that we need to thank for their gifts. A couple of times a year they provide a free campaign that we can follow to re-engage lapsed donors.
  • They provide online support most every weekday; they call it office hours.
  • They show instant results when donations come in.
  • They provide a customizable format for campaigns.
  • Most campaigns are driven by a mailing group. I would like to see an easier way to remove people from a group after they have responded so we don't keep asking them after they have done so.
  • After sending a text or email blast, I would like to have a mass update to the comment field of each person in the group.
  • I would like to see Network for Good automate things a bit more (e.g., if they open and email, send an automated email, or set a task, etc.).
  • I would like to see more dynamic campaigns (e.g., if the special field called "level of interest" is greater than five, do this), etc.
Network for Good seems to be a good fit for small to medium organizations, especially if they don't have an experienced IT staff. I can't think of a scenario where this software is inappropriate. I would like to see it a bit more robust but with that goes the need to have a dedicated IT support team. Overall, I think it is a great product.

Network for Good keeps our database and donor outreach software in one place and includes an easy-to-view snapshot of the current financial quarter and giving (online and offline) over the past year. Our favorite part of Network for Good is its centralized design--Network for Good keeps your database of donors, email, print mailing, and text outreach (not to mention a great video message tool) in one place without having to log in to multiple sites for different services. It is lighter on the automation side of things, but we have found it a far better product in the long run than Salesforce and Pardot (previously used).
  • Donor outreach tools (email, text, video, print mailing tools)
  • Database management
  • Easy and effective donation pages
  • Automation processes (automatically sending separate emails to "opened" and "did not open" groups, etc.)
Well suited for nonprofits of every stripe. Smaller nonprofits might have a harder time with some of the back-end manual work that needs to be done to maintain correct offline giving numbers and to curate/keep updated segmented lists for mailings.

We utilize the data management tool. This tool has allowed us to consolidate our donors; to track individual donations, the frequency of donations, how long since a donor actually made a donation, to categorize donors into groups (which is very helpful for us); and to provide to every donor with an immediate receipt as well as a year-end summary report for their individual tax reporting. The tool allows me to send out broadcast email messages, to create individual thank you videos, to develop focused fundraising campaigns, and to write and deliver our newsletter. I can track tasks, it reminds me to send thank you letters, and I can compare year-over-year performance. In addition to the data management tool, Network for Good provides consultants who are experts at development. I needed that help, as my background is not in development and fundraising. My consultant was wonderful and I learned a lot the year we worked together. Lastly, there are several webinars that you can attend regarding a myriad of issues associated with fundraising. We intend to keep Network for Good for the foreseeable future.
  • Donor management
  • Donor communication
  • Access to experts
  • Webinars
  • Better instructions on how to use the tool for newsletters
  • Faster response when needing help with data
  • Include a tier structure for consultant access
If you are a small nonprofit, the data management tool provided by Network for Good is invaluable. The tool will allow you to better understand your donors and provide you with the tools to keep up good communication. It addresses the issues regarding donations that are tax deductible and the requirement to provide a summary report to each donor. In short, it has made my life significantly easier and I cannot see us managing without it.

We used Neon when I first joined CFO; getting reports out of it wasn't easy and using the chat was the only way to communicate with Neon's customer service. That proved frustrating when we needed our information right away.
Last summer we searched for a new CRM and after checking a few companies out, we chose Network For Good. We are truly happy with our decision to go with Network For Good! Running reports, updating and adding donor information is simple and user friendly, and when we do need to contact customer service, they answer our call immediately and are available for us.

Moreover, we're able to send our donor e-blasts using Network For Good, which enabled us to cancel our Constant Contact subscription and transfer that money to our programming. I am a huge fan of Network For Good's customer service gurus, particularly Francesca, who always welcomes me and is a true delight to interact with. Thank goodness for Network For Good!
  • Customer service

Origin currently uses Network For Good for all email marketing campaigns and it allows the added benefit of incorporating fundraising into every single email/eblast that is distributed. Origin relies heavily on email marketing to generate clients and keep active clients engaged. Network For Good allows us to do this and fundraise at the same time. However, you do not have to fundraise with the emails you send out, they can simply be informative if desired. Network For Good saves us money this way because we do not have to pay for two separate programs. It simplifies fundraising and email marketing for us by allowing it to live all in one place with the ability to stay organized and simple.

When first starting out using the platform, Network For Good staff helped us merge all 15,000 contacts over into the system in less than two days! You can create and save templates to save time and determine the effectiveness of different campaigns. We use it to promote individual programs and the entire organization. It also helps us track & thank our donors, stay up to date with donations, and compare the progress we are making versus the previous year.
  • They provide you with a bio of a few coaches and you choose one to help you learn and assist with fundraising efforts for several months
  • Provide templates of successful email fundraising campaigns that other organizations created
  • Provide you with tasks that include templates of fundraising emails, texts, letters, etc.
  • Merge pre existing contacts into the NFG system to get you started
  • Currently unable to access the fundraising gallery templates; I would love to see this up and running again. They were so helpful.
Network For Good is well suited for Origin because it serves as an email marketing and fundraising tool all at the same time. We rely heavily on our email marketing campaigns to generate new clients and engage with current clients. It saves us money because we can literally do both all in the same place with just one program. You can save and reuse templates, track the effectiveness of different campaigns, keep track of donors and donations, and create several donation pages. For a nonprofit like Origin, this is all so helpful because we have several different programs we fundraise for and this allows us to keep it clean and organized. The software is easy to use and they provide a coach to help teach you how to fundraise effectively. My job is easier because of Network For Good.

We use Network for Good for our donor database to keep track of donations, acknowledgements, and reports. The biggest problem it has resolved for us was the ease of processing acknowledgements for our donors through letters, emails, and videos.
  • Donor acknowledgements
  • Explanation of fields
  • Creating giving and fundraising pages
  • Ways to create invoices
  • A second tier for peer-to-peer fundraising where teams could be created, then fundraisers. We now use Give Lively for this feature for our Bowl For Kids' Sake Fundraiser and then import over to Network for Good.
  • Provide a way to check for duplicates before information is imported. It doesn't seem to catch duplicates by last name only (e.g., John Doe with email and no address versus Mr. John Doe w/address).
I think Network for Good is great for nonprofits and businesses that like the marketing features. If a business needs lots of detailed reports, for example, cash projection reports, five-year comparison reports, etc., they may need a system with more accounting reports/features.

Our philanthropic operations have been to say the least nonexistent. Our local Community Foundation saw we were on a tremendous growth trend and recommended we partner with Network for Good (NFG). They couldn't have been more spot on! Since partnering with NFG our private donations have increased 1000% in just 2 short years! The coaching from NFG has helped us develop this area of our operations in both knowledge of best practices for requesting support and donor retention. Our service delivery platforms have also benefitted from this private funding increase, allowing us to serve 4 times as many people experiencing homelessness; Housing First takes funding and NFG helped us to perform beyond our strategic goals. If your agency is ready to take the next step in capacity then call Network for Good!
  • Coaching.
  • Best practices for donor recruitment and retention.
  • Understanding your capacity through private funding.
  • Helping us achieve our strategic goals.
  • Helping not-for-profits fund the costs of the system.
Coaching from Network for Good has been the key to our success! They helped us live out our mission at a whole new level. They want to know your mission, they study it, and they help you to build around it.

We're using Network for Good across the whole organization. It's used for donor management, donor communications, event management and ticketing, and donation management. It's also used by our Education department for class sign-up and student communications. I use it in my capacity supporting young composers -- I update them on opportunities via e-blasts, use the event section to coordinate professional development sessions and take submissions for our training sessions via the Forms. Network for Good has consolidated our operations immensely; before we started with Network for Good, we used multiple programs to do the jobs that Network for Good does now. It replaced DonorPerfect, EventBrite, EmailMeForm, and Mail Chimp.
  • Donor Management
  • Donation Tracking
  • Event Management
  • Event Ticketing
  • E-blasts
  • Form Customization
  • Easier branding across all aspects of Network for Good
  • More information captured through ticketing
Network for Good is fantastic when you have a team with varying technical abilities. It's easy to learn, customize, and use. It's also great in how it consolidates donor management, donations, and events. The ticketing features are really useful, especially because they encourage donations and then put those donations directly into the donor/donation management section of the program. The customer service is very good -- they're responsive, fast, and friendly. Network for Good is also fantastic for donor communications, allowing you to group donors and easily create an attractive e-blast. It doesn't work well for application management. I use it for submissions to our training sessions, and while the forms can capture a plethora of information and accept files, the customizations are limited and it's hard to brand the forms. It's also hard to track applicants across multiple rounds of submissions.
