New Relic was instrumental in lowering the risk of the migration and in the pace of our cloud adoption. As we look at these on-prem and cloud environments side by side, we can monitor the performance of the application as we move migration, understand potential bottlenecks and ensure a successful transition. The live visibility enabled us to solve problems early and to not disrupt services. This preemptive attack would not only minimize the risks of the migration, but also accelerate and reduce the cost through preventing migration troubleshooting and maximizing the utilization of cloud resources.

Good value for money easy to set up.

Since the infra is owned and maintained by New Relic we don't really have to worry about setting up our own observability infra or set up any kibana or ES dashboards. It is pretty helpful in that regard. Saved me hours and hours of engineering bandwidth and is quite reliable.

New Relic continues to be the tool of choice for APM and Metrics

Our use-cases are primarily cloud based. However, we rely on them heavily during migration to and from regions, and across the cloud providers. Their tool is cloud agnostic, and allows us to track the health and the performance of our applications in a predictable manner. The costs are controlled as all the performance bottlenecks can be tracked and fixed at the source instead of adding more infrastructure.

Very powerful solution for infra monitoring that doesn't keep you up at night

Yes, it helped us reduce risk as we are no longer guessing if something goes south but we have real data.
We also know better when we should update our stack based on the metrics New Relic provides us with.
It didn't reduce the costs though, but we can think that considering how many issues it helped anticipate - it saved us from losing customers and revenue.

Our cost to serve customers dropped dramatically having one single place to view application performance and find errors or problems.

Our cost to serve customers dropped dramatically having one single place to view application performance and find errors or problems. All of our apps send their logs to newrelic and newrelic monitors all of our apps, meaning we find out if things go down before our customers - churn has gone down, meaning we can focus on keeping customers and building new functionality.
