What is NinjaOne?

The NinjaOne (formerly NinjaRMM) platform reduces the time it takes for MSPs and IT professionals to perform the day-to-day work of managing and securing organization endpoints. Whether Windows, Mac, Linux-based, physical or virtual devices, this unified IT management solution provides a consolidated view into the health and status of all endpoints.

NinjaOne’s interface and unlimited onboarding support, enable customers to onboard in days, not weeks or months. Technicians are trained and productive in hours, able to proactively monitor, patch, secure, and remotely support end users faster.

NinjaOne includes extensive automation. Out-of-box platform policies coupled with a library of hundreds of provided scripts means virtually any action or alert response can be automated, saving hours of time every week and freeing technicians to tackle more strategic issues.

So far NinjaOne has been more stable to use vs the items listed above. It has been easier to setup and go. Easy to setup end user equipment with a quick setup file that an end user can run if you asked them to. The portal is quick to update and quick to allow you to start managing new devices.

NinjaOne has a much better web interface than Automate, in terms of both usability and function. The endpoint search function in NinjaOne is very good with results, and each endpoint agent page has a great overview of the endpoints health, NinjaOne event history, etc. The functionality of NinjaOne is also superior, from it's organisation of endpoints with an overarching organisation breaking down into locations, and the automation capabilities of NinjaOne.

About 2 years ago we evaluated about a dozen similar utilities that are all aimed at managing and maintaining endpoint from several customers at the same time. At the end of the evaluation, NinjaOne was chosen based on several criteria specifically targeting the use case that we have found ourselves in with the hundreds of customers we are actively supporting today.

NinjaOne offers the same feature set that the big players offer, for a fraction of the price. when looking at RMM solutions, there are several large companies out there that claim that they do everything well, but what we have found is that they often do many things, but not always well. We had a very low success rate with automated deployment using our MDM when using our previous RMM. NinjaOne just works.

NinjaOne feels like it is way beyond its competitors. Their UI is fantastic, with the exception of no Dark Mode. It is very responsive and easy to navigate. Also, NinjaOne bills monthly with no contract commitment. This makes it much more accessible to smaller and medium-sized businesses that might not want to sign a 3-5-year contract.

The systems screen on NinjaOne is simpler and has more information. You can customize details/columns per technician. CMD, PowerShell, registry emulate the windows look and feel. Pulseway just gives you a big white page to type commands and it doesn’t respond as seamlessly. NinjaOne allows granular configuration of rolls for technicians. NinjaOne has multiple remote access options like TeamViewer, Splashtop and others. Pulseway only has their own remote access solution built in but its laggy and unstable.

NinjaOne does not have a remote deploy option included. Pulseway has this.

Pulseway’s MFA is more convenient. Pulseways mobile app edges out NinjaOne’s for the win. NinjaOne’s app has a dated look. Pulseway goes directly to all systems and immediately shows OS, status, uptime, and it gives you issues under the notification tab. One big drawback of the Pulseway app is notifications don’t automatically go away if the issue is solved. Pulseway’s third party patch management is much better. More software options, less confusing. Out of the box it works better.

For OS patch management, NinjaOne is a bit more granular, but Pulseway’s is just as good.

NinjaOne has what it takes and is very cost effective for what it provides an IT team. We would not be able to do what we do without it.

Cost comparison wise, NinjaOne is the best option we found that has such a wide breadth of capabilities like it does.

Ninja does a few things better than Goverlan Reach, like the integrated ticketing. But honestly, Goverlan was much more user-friendly for everything else. N-able has a lot of features, but they're not easy to use, if you can even find them.

NinjaOne has more overall features than these competitors bundled in their package. Both of these other products have separate add-ons that will accomplish the additional features that NinjaOne bundles in. While it seems that both may be slightly more powerful when it comes to the overall RMM software, NinjaOne has a much cleaner UI and makes it much easier to work in. NinjaOne also seems to always be growing and implementing solutions that customer ask for, without any additional up-charges. These competitors seem to have their finished product and additional add-ons like ticketing are completely separate offerings that are both separate charges and a completely different product all together.

Ninja is much easier to use that anything I've worked with in the past. We selected Ninja because we felt the learning curve for the team would be the fastest, and the roadmap for the product shows its evolving quickly. Can't say that for many of the other platforms I've worked with in the past.

Great account management. Great Product overall.

NinjaOne isn't as versatile as N-able. NinjaOne doesn't have as many features or settings as N-able.
N-able is far more complex, which isn't always a good thing. For vary large-scale MSPs, it might be a better choice. However, for a small to medium-sized team, NinjaOne is an extremely powerful and beautifully simple choice.

Hands down the performance and features of NinjaOne is what puts the in front of the pack. They are not perfect, no RMM is, but they are up at the top. Being able to quickly navigate the system, access computers, and deploy policies makes our team more effective and our clients able to get past their issues quicker.

Like all software you have certain features that you don't get in others, specific software like Zoho Assist give great remote access, probably better then Teamviwer (1 of NinjaOne's remote Access Solutions) however you have to have a contract and license for each one and the Teamviwer is rolled into NinjaOne so while it might be great to have everything, usually we are only using a limited feature set in which case Teamviewer is fine. Same with Trackit for ticketing - it has lots of features that we used to pay for but when we use only a fraction it makes sense to use the NinjaOne ticketing. So overall NinjaOne covers 90% of our needs under 1 umbrella for a reasonable cost.

NinjaOne blows Connectwise out of the water. You can take a college kid right out of school and put them in front of NinjaOne and they will have no issues at all. IT is that easy to use! Connectwise on the other hand uses an academy to get you trained and ready. Yeah if you need an academy, you are too hard.

Datto RMM is a good product. However, I feel through the evaluation process that it was easier for me to use NinjaOne. NinjaOne is also a more cost effective solution compared to Datto RMM. Both are very good products, however, cost and ease of use were the two main factors for me to consider in finally accepting NinjaOne as our RMM solution.

NinjaOne has the potential to replace all of the products that I was previously running. However, the information displayed in the NinjaOne console is not as intuitive and does take time to get used to. For example, one of my previous endpoint products could search one keyword, which would prompt a list of all endpoints that have that product installed. This is not the case with NinjaOne. However, the strength of NinjaOne is that it resides in the cloud and is easily accessible.

Prior to switching to NinjaRMM, we ran it side-by-side with Kaseya VSA for about a year. Kaseya VSA does not even compare to NinjaRMM. Kaseya VSA feels very outdated in comparison. NinjaRMM is snappy and works well.
