NinjaRMM is used within our technical services department. It is our RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tool for all our managed service provider customers. It takes care of alerting on down devices and also gives us the ability to patch all our monitored systems. We also use it to provide scripting functionality and in some cases application pushing.
  • Ninja does a nice job on providing robust monitoring of network servers. It provides peace of mind with monitoring of clients server infrastructure.
  • Ninja's interface is simple yet clean. It makes navigating and getting where you need to be easy.
  • Ninja's staff is always willing to help and their support is top-notch! They work hard to address any issues quickly and efficiently.
  • We've had some issues with Ninja's patching engine, this may be a combination of changes in Microsoft's patching structure and Ninja's implementation.
  • Ninja's reporting is a little less robust than other products. Having more information available to provide Customers would make QBR's more valuable and easier.
  • Ninja's policy setup is based on a hierarchical approach. We would like to see more granularity in the ability to assign polices and the ability to assign multiple policies on devices.
Ninja is an affordable, fairly straightforward RMM that I feel is a good fit for smaller implementations. As your client base grows and the diversity of client needs grow you can start to see some of the limitations that Ninja has. Ninja's cloud based implementation is stable but they have been a little slow on the updates promised. We used to work more closely with them but we continued to see feature creep on items that weren't really important to us. The items we felt were important kept getting pushed back in the time-line with really no end in sight. Ultimately this is what pushed us to move onto a different platform.

  • Ninja is a much better RMM than we previously used, it did increase our efficiency, just not as much as I had hoped.
  • Ninja gave us a foundation to build our MSP business, at this point we've outgrown it but it did provide a solid foundation to start with.
  • Ninja's patch issues has caused us to spend many additional hours manually checking clients for patch updates, this is severely cut down on efficiencies
Ninja's interface is clean and simple. Overall usability from an interface perspective is good. Some items, policies and scripting for instance, are a bit cumbersome and it's really not clear how to implement with a best practice mind-site. Ninja RMM got the job done for us but as we pushed our needs more into automation and efficiency we felt it wasn't keeping up with our speed of growth. There is definitely usability in the product, and it will get the job done, but there are other RMM's out there that fit better in our business.
Ninja support has always been top notch. They have always been responsive and efficient both in troubleshooting issues or talking to me at a high-level about on-going improvements or needed changes. Both sales and Technical support has been good and I've been very pleased with the Customer service we have received from Ninja
We are currently in the middle of a migration from NinjaRMM to DattoRMM. We felt that DattoRMM provides more granular control over policies, better patch management and better device monitoring (Specifically Network/storage devices via custom SNMP). As I mentioned before in my review, NinjaRMM is a good product, a very viable RMM solution, however we felt that it no longer met the needs for our company. I would recommend NinjaRMM to anyone but as with any RMM it's important that you really analyze the features that are going to be fundamentally important to you.

NinjaRMM is used across our organization. We use it to monitor and maintain our client's computers as well as our own.
  • Remote monitoring of PCs/servers
  • Scheduled, unattended software updates for both Windows and other software frees up my techs for other assignments.
  • Alerting from NinjaRMM often lets us know there is a problem before the customer knows so we can head it off and minimize business impact.
  • Some of the configuration descriptions could be worded better. We misinterpreted one and didn't realize we prevented servers from rebooting on a schedule.
NinjaRMM is well suited for MSPs to help clients.

  • Increased productivity from staff
  • Reduces issues experienced by clients.
  • Competitive markup on software.
The scripting can be hard to figure out at first, but everything else is intuitive and easy to use/configure
I've only needed support a few times and they were always quick and friendly.
Continuum was less intuitive and made software changes without enough warning.
