Nintex Platform solves issues of pre-onboarding prospects, onboarding clients, and day to day client services. It assists in moving away from all email communication to more communication through Slack and Salesforce. It has helped us to automate business processes and has helped users to be productive even while out of the office. It is user-friendly to create forms that can be available on desktops and mobile devices.
  • Dropbox business team management
  • Google Drive
  • Collection processes
  • One cannot access the “Run as workflow owner” checkbox inside action set when it is placed on a state machine branch.
  • It is difficult to control permissions to lists when the items have item-level permissions.
One can run Nintex Platform as a workflow owner; you can define exactly which roles/people/groups can have access to an item at any given time during the workflow process. You're lucky to be in an organization that only has 1 regulated process in SharePoint.

  • Operating expense (OPEX) reduction
  • Cutting people-hours spent on routine tasks
  • Streamlining business processes
The installation was not a problem at any time. The initial setup was straightforward. During the trial, the team had installed it.
The deployment and maintenance team is approximately five people. We have three environments, and five people to handle the deployments and batch updates.
Helps in scheduling meetings, to share documents, and create complete visibility of HR policies; helps in administrative work (creating workflows that complete essential HR processes, without printing a single page).

1) Nintex integrates with your workflows with the instant-messaging program, social media, email, and practical integration of all kinds of data and documents.
2) It also offers easy drag-and-drop workflow design that saves a lot of time
3) It could be used on multiple devices such as MS Windows and Mac OS

This is a good solution for mid-scale deployment and mid-scale usage, but as the usage increases, the issues along with it also increase. There is a lot of window to explore for our organsiation

The feature that I found most valuable is the deeper loops, and also deeper schedules so that you can schedule a particular workflow to a particular type.
Initially, the product was very stable, but with few isssues here and there, in any case, we are now at a point where we are trying to move away from Nintex.
  • Implemented in-house
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
  • When running a large workflow it can be very difficult to determine which action caused the issue. Also, due to the large amount of actions running, having the correct timing or sequence of update actions is also difficult to manage. To resolve these types of issues splitting the workflow is also recommended.
A good method would be to have a set of updates in the first workflow, commit the changes (with a “Commit pending changes” or a “Delay/Pause” action) immediately afterwards then use a “Start workflow” action to initiate the second workflow process. Using this method, both workflows will essentially start automatically however they will not clash and both attempt to update the item at the same time.

THE BOTTOM LINE is Nintex Workflow Cloud has arguably the best visual workflow editing and automated logic environment of all the low-code development platforms we've tested, but its basic app UI design and database capabilities need deeper integration and improvement.
The pros are:
Drag-and-drop workflow editing.
Strong integrations.
Native Nintex Mobile app
Superb workflow automated and logic rule creation.
Built-in task assignment and management.
  • workflow automation
  • analytics and reporting
  • team collaboration
  • Capabilities including analytics, document generation, and app UI design are bit difficult from workflow dashboard.
  • Transitioning from on-prem to cloud.
Yes, but I don't use it
It helps in:
Drag-and-drop workflow editing.
Superb workflow automated and logic rule creation.
Built-in task assignment and management.
Strong integrations.
Native Nintex Mobile app.
By having all the information at our fingertips, our organization could make informed decisions about what to automate, how quickly to make it happen, and where one could encounter stumbling blocks.
Nintex has Good functionality across the microsoft platform. It has good visualization of the flow but Documentation of form customization is weak. Some features do not work as anticipated.
Unlike any other process automation product out there. Not only is it a low-code, easy to use tool for building processes in environments like SharePoint or Salesforce, they have really started to expand their tool-set by offering tools to manage other things like process mapping, RPA, mobile, etc.
  • SPD workflows

  • File import/export
  • API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
  • Javascript widgets
Software is fine despite unexpected canceled workflows with poor guidance on why it canceled. Support / purchase and renewal process is not transparent.
Proper guidance online or through in person expert should be provided
It has been much more flexible and customizable workflow solution with much better form generator and much better customization for forms.
it saved on cost, time and investment of mental energy.
1) Acquisition cost
As long as you have a firm understanding of what you want to happen, you can make it happen.
  • flexible and customizable workflow solution for SharePoint.
  • It's hands-down the most efficient automation toolset I've ever used.
  • Proper guidance in terms of purchase
  • Renewal service to be smoothened

Nintex Platform is used business wide alongside SharePoint. We use it in many lists with Nintex Platform forms, and we use Nintex Platform workflows to automate manual processes. We have hundreds of workflows and many forms. Nintex Platform has been instrumental in aiding different business departments to become more efficient and enable resources to be used in a more productive manner.
  • Nintex Platform forms allow for a modern, user friendly experience with the ability to hide and show fields as needed.
  • Nintex Platform workflows enable manual processes to become automated with one or several steps.
  • Nintex Platform responsive design needs to allow for code.
  • Nintex Platform responsive design tends to slow down after several minutes of use, or the form becomes long.
Nintex Platform is well suited for SharePoint. We have used Nintex Planform in several departments for lists and forms to allow for rich user experience while being able to control how the form works. The workflows have provided many instances of turning manual processes into automation, such as paper forms being filled out now use Nintex Platform forms with workflows behind the scenes that notify the owner of the document. Agents can fill out information through a form, and the information is sent through a workflow to our department, agents can request a calendar appointment through SharePoint, and Nintex Platform creates appointments on Outlook.

  • Nintex Platform has saved several departments resource time.
  • Nintex Platform has helped departments become more efficient.
We use the Nintex Platform in all of our environments, as well as internally and externally. The Nintex Platform must continue to improve its product and listen to the customers because we provide support to all of our users through the Nintex Platform. If we can't offer what the users want, then the Nintex Platform would not be able to be our only option to go to.
We generally only allow IT staff to use Nintex Platform. Forms can be used by non-IT once they are trained, but because Nintex Platform allows for web service calls and logical thinking, workflows are currently restricted to IT. I think that in time, business users who are trained to use Nintex forms could implement simple forms to allow for a nicer UX.
We only use Nintex.

There are the Nintex Admin, who administer, create and build Nintex forms and workflows. There are the business users that use Nintex behind the scenes, usually without knowing it, and use the Nintex forms and workflows which have helped automate their business processes.

These are people who are in IT. They are developers and system administrators who not only have the technical background needed to administer a software product like Nintex, but they have also been trained on Nintex as well. I have been Nintex Workflow Professional certified.
  • Nintex forms for nice ux
  • Nintex workflows to automate manual processes
  • Nintex has been used to replace paper forms in HR.
  • Nintex has been used to communicate with the agent field in our business.
  • Continue to use responsive forms for a nicer UX interface.
  • Continue to use workflows to automate business processes
Nintex provides an efficient solution to automating processes within SharePoint. Customer Service at Nintex is great, I have had to reach out a few times for questions or issues and there is always a technician that responds within a short amount of time. We enjoy have the different options that Nintex provides.

We have been using Nintex for several years, and a lot of our forms and workflows are built with it. We are aware of the other options in the business, but we have found that working with Nintex provides the solutions that we are looking for and the customer service to back it up.
I would not change anything. We would continue with Nintex.

Change management was minimal
Nintex Platform has been a part of our business since I started here 8 years ago. We continue to use it without interruption and without the thought of using another software.

I used the Nintex training software, it was easy to watch and follow along. It didn't go too fast and was descriptive enough to understand what the steps needed were in order to produce efficient workflows and user friendly forms.
From what I have seen in Central Admin, there is enough configuration without making it too complex. We can adjust who has what workflow steps based off of groups we create, and that was one of our major concerns.
Train your users! I would recommend IT folks but if you use business users, make sure you incorporate technically inclined business users since some of the workflow steps can reach out to web services.

I have had to contact Nintex a few times regarding questions or issues about the product. I have always had a technician respond within a few hours, and they continue to reach out and ensure that the problem is resolved before closing the request. The technicians are knowledgeable and helpful.
No
I had a question about the Nintex Outlook step that I could not figure out. The workflow was failing and I did not understand the message it was giving me. I reached out to Nintex, thinking it was a workflow issue, and the technician continued to discuss the issue and do the research necessary to fix it. The issue wound up being Exchange permissions, which we would not have figured out without his help.
  • The Nintex forms are easy to use.
  • Basic Nintex workflow steps are easy, such as the email notification.
  • Nintex Responsive design tends to slow down if the form gets too large.
  • I wish Nintex Responsive forms allowed for code.
Nintex is great to use as I've stated before, and I implement it for business users company wide. It has allowed for automation of so many manual processes and created ease of use while maintaining a nice user interface with the forms. The business users enjoy the forms that they work on and the automation that takes place.
Nintex allows for several things to be used in making manual processes automated. It can be used for simple things such as small SharePoint lists to large scale projects such as extensive workflows and forms.
I have never encountered a Nintex outage.
I give this a 9 because Nintex overall has been exemplary, except for responsive design forms seem to be a little slow when getting complex.
  • SharePoint
We use Nintex alongside SharePoint in most things we do. Any SharePoint list that needs a special form or automation behind it uses Nintex. We have over hundreds of Nintex forms and workflows throughout our business.
  • SharePoint
It already does.
  • File import/export
We reach out to web services as well.
Nintex continues to be reliable when integrating with SharePoint as it has been for the years we have used it.
Keep using it, it's a wonderful product!
The vendors were helpful and knowledgeable, making sure we had all the information we needed before making decisions.
They continued to follow up and make sure we were happy with our services.
I'm not sure on this question.
They were wonderful to work with!
Yes
Yes, the process went smoothly and there were no major impacts. We updated the software through Central Admin and tested it first on our Development and Staging environment, and then rolled it out to Production. We did testing through our SharePoint lists and workflows and established that the upgrade had gone according to plan.

We are using K2 blackpearl in some departments and not across the organization yet. We also developed and implemented projects using K2 blackpearl in combination with K2 SmartForms.
  • It helped to create flexibility in our Process Automation. It has become easier than ever to modify the existing processes (implemented in K2 blackPearl) when the need arises.
  • We were able to create web forms efficiently using K2 SmartForms which is powered by k2 blackPearl. It's an exceptional tool to create web forms without writing a single line of code.
  • The parallel approval mechanism supported by K2 blackpearl was really helpful in our projects as we want to send work items to group of users rather than a single individual.
  • We are looking for usability and Category Security feature in K2 SmartForm which is powered by k2 blackpearl.
  • Is it possible to design SmartForms using Visual Studio designer? that is something we are looking for so that we can version it in Sorice Control appropriately. .
  • There is a need to improve the performance of the processing of the work list items generated in K2 Workspace.
It is well suited for small departmental workflow. However, I'm not sure how it will work at the enterprise level where volume is very huge.
  • It helped to reduce the process turnaround time.
  • In some scenarios where we have created parent and child workflow, we noticed significant slow response time in triggering the child processes using IPC events.
  • Seen increase in the users productivity.
We are evaluating IBP BPM tools for enterprise level process automation. It also offers a process discovery tool.

We are already using K2 blackpearl in many small departmental projects which are live in production. We need to continually support those projects.

It was a complete online training with virual machine provided by K2. All the infrastructure was set up before hand. The training material was pretty thorough. The instructor was knowledgeable. Overall the training program was well designed and planned.
