Users have found ObservePoint to be a valuable tool for tag auditing, quality assurance, and data integrity. It has been particularly helpful in protecting their data and ensuring the accuracy of their data collection efforts. The website audit feature of ObservePoint provides valuable insights for website businesses, allowing them to identify any issues or errors that may be impacting their online performance. With ObservePoint, users are able to audit multiple pages at once, saving them time and resources. The automatic scanning feature is especially beneficial as it helps in QA data collection and alerts users about any irregularities that may require attention.

In addition to its data monitoring capabilities, ObservePoint is also widely used across various departments to ensure that websites are loading correctly and online processes are functioning properly. Users rely on ObservePoint to validate their analytics codes and collect accurate data, minimizing the risk of tagging errors that could negatively impact their business. One of the key advantages of using ObservePoint is its combination of technical review and user engagement review features, which proves to be highly beneficial when used alongside other analytics tools. Clients have successfully implemented ObservePoint to verify tag functionality after site updates, ensuring seamless transitions and preventing any disruptions in data collection. Furthermore, organizations rely on ObservePoint for daily tag validation, maintaining data accuracy and compliance on an ongoing basis.

Intuitive and Robust User Interface: Users have consistently praised ObservePoint for its intuitive and robust user interface. Multiple reviewers have mentioned that the interface is easy to navigate, making it simple for new engineers to learn the software quickly. The robustness of the UI also ensures a productive experience, allowing users to efficiently perform their tasks.

Comprehensive Tag Vendor List: Many reviewers appreciate the comprehensive list of tag vendors available in ObservePoint. This feature makes it easy for users to interrogate most any tagging implementation they come across. With a wide range of tag vendors covered, users can easily validate deployments and accuracy of analytics and marketing technologies.

Robust Standard Reporting: Reviewers have found the standard reporting within ObservePoint's user interface to be both robust and easy to consume. This feature allows users to quickly access important data insights without needing additional tools or complicated analysis. The straightforward presentation of information helps streamline decision-making processes.

Limited capabilities for journey simulation: Some users have mentioned that the software's journey simulation feature is somewhat limited and could be improved to meet their specific requirements. They feel that more customization and configuration options are needed.

Over-reporting of problems: Several reviewers have expressed that the software tends to over-report problems, leading to the need for manually creating a list for development. This can result in developers spending unnecessary time on issues that may not be critical.

Web audit feature can be improved: Users suggest that the web audit feature could be enhanced as it takes considerable time to recognize errors. This delay in error recognition can slow down the auditing process and hinder timely issue resolution.

Users have provided the following recommendations for ObservePoint:

  1. It is recommended to do a careful assessment of how ObservePoint scripts work on your site, as initial setup can take time.

  2. Users suggest that an iOS mobile version of the app would be helpful for easier use of ObservePoint.

  3. Until all the glaring issues are fixed, it's hard to recommend the product.

These recommendations highlight the importance of evaluating the implementation process, considering the need for an iOS mobile version, and addressing any outstanding issues to improve user satisfaction with ObservePoint.

ObservePoint helped in many ways like protecting our data, ensuring data quality, and optimizing customer experiences. The best part is their website audit. The insight of their website audit is very helpful for any website business. They solve huge problems of individual auditing of each page. They can audit 500 pages for free at a time.
  • Optimize customer experience
  • Data protection
  • Data Tracking
  • Website Audit
  • API Configuration
  • Easy Navigation
  • Data Loading Time
ObservePoint is a great tool for automating page testing and standardizing campaigns to observe accurate customer insights. You can identify customer mapping journey. They also help in data protection and insights which are very important and essential these days. They should work more on easy interface designs. Overall, it is the best.
  • Data insight report
  • Free website audit (up-to 500 pages)
  • Data Governance Overview
  • Increased customers
  • Website optimization
  • Data analysis
ObervePoint is better than its alternatives because of its updated features. ObervePoint ensures accurate and secure data collection. The website audit tool is far better and more advanced than others.

ObservePoint scans my site automatically to QA our data collection. Individually auditing each page of our site or application for accurate data collection is nearly impossible and not an efficient use of resources and also sending me alerts for any irregularities, thus this product has been really very helpful. Looking forward to keeping using it.
  • It Validates the deployment and accuracy of analytics and marketing technologies and data.
  • Technology Governance feature ensures your data collection tools and processes are executing as planned.
  • Privacy Compliance feature performs automated audits to identify all the tech collecting data on our site and ensures compliance to digital standards and government regulations for customer data
  • The web audit feature can be made better, as the errors which it recognises, takes time
  • Jouneys feature can also be worked on, they need to allow us to configure items as per our requirement
  • The rules feature, only shows limited failures, I would appreciate if the developers can work on that too
I use rules feature to Test tags, variables, and values to confirm each matches a specific RegEx patterns. It has been well suited for me. Combining filters and conditions to test our tags with a high level of detail. they can surely work more on - Fire based on URL, status code, or tag type by using filters.
  • Audit feature is very crucial
  • rules is very important
  • Comparison Reports feature is very very useful and a good feature too
  • Overall busniess has been really great, and i am quite happy with the team
  • there was one negative instance, when I was not able to get hold of their support team, which affected my work
  • Technology Governance has been very very great for me and my company, people if you're looking for it, go with ObservePoint
I have not used any other product other than ObservePoint for my requirements. there are a number of features for which it has proved helpful. Technology Governance ensures our data collection tools and processes are executing as planned, so our organization can make better decisions based on better data and so on

We use ObservePoint by department depending on the specific focus, for example, mostly digital analytics and tagging. It helps us catch tagging errors before they become an issue for our business, also helps us better understand user journey on the website and make recommendations. The combination of technical review and user engagement review is helpful, especially when used with other analytics tools.
  • Custom tagging is very important when you need specific tags tailored to your website needs.
  • The dashboards are great, user friendly and you can share them with coworkers easily.
  • Page details, although interesting, are not very useful as the data is too granular and not possible to integrate with other analytics data for insights.
  • Some of the custom tagging may be a little complicated, so sometimes we need an engineer or an ObservePoint tech to help us out.
It's a great tool to catch errors in tagging that otherwise would be missed, also human errors in tracking implementation. It's a good tool to help understand how your users interact with the website, for example when completing a purchase, and check if your parameters are successfully firing as your user goes through the process.
  • Catching errors before they become bigger problems.
  • Saving the QA team time on checking implementation and testing.
Somewhat similar in building user journeys, but not really in tagging. I have not user other tagging tools.

ObservePoint is being used for tag auditing, quality assurance and data integrity.
  • Tag discovery
  • Tag auditing
  • Testing and automated scanning of lower environments prior to release
  • Watching competitors
  • It can't scan past server side password boxes which is really problematic
  • Its capabilities for journey simulation are somewhat limited
  • It tends to over-report problems leaving you to manually create a laundry list for dev
ObservePoint is well suited to tagging audits and keeping an eye on tags and providing an essential alerting mechanism should something break / snap during a development release. This happens all the time, often going unnoticed for many weeks, sometimes months. Since it is is impossible to step into a Bill and Ted time machine and go back and get your data, base collection should be monitored.
  • Enhanced trust in the data.
  • Puts web analytics team on the front foot, we inform the business that a snappage has occurred , rather than the business informing us via wonky metrics.
  • Very good for discovery, what tags have I got across my digital estate?
The only known alternatives are http://www.hub-scan.com/ and perhaps Screaming Frog and/or Selenium based approaches which require resource to write test scripts.
Support is very strong indeed and has been consistent over the last 4 years. They are also friendly and tag nerds like me!

This is a partnered solution that we use to produce our Data Quality Assessment (powered by ObservePoint) Service Offering. We use ObservePoint to audit our customers' web sites then output the audit to a text file that we analyze to generate a Tag Audit Assessment document/deliverable.
  • The UI for ObservePoint is intuitive and robust. This makes training new engineers and using the product easy and productive.
  • All Audit exports are formatted as tab delimited text files making the data easy to analyze and manipulate in a Spreadsheet or database.
  • The list of tag vendors that are discoverable is comprehensive making it easy to interrogate most any tagging implementation.
  • Standard reporting within the UI is robust and easy to consume.
  • I would like to see more of the administrative aspects of the UI to allow for sortable lists such as the list of Users and Properties.
  • Auditing highly secure site content can be problematic depending on the method of authentication.
ObservePoint is an exceptional resource for auditing web sites, public content, and secure customer journeys.
  • ObservePoint coupled with our Data Quality Assessment service offering is absolutely critical to the success of our customers.
  • Being able to quickly find and resolve actionable insight due to tagging inconsistencies is a critical business requirement for any type of web site.
  • Ensuring that the tagging has been implemented correctly ensures integrity and builds confidence in our Webtrends Reporting Solutions.
I remember evaluating two other products but that was so long ago I don't remember what they were.
ObservePoint has a robust solution that is well supported and is continually innovating to meet new business and technology needs.

Technical resources capable of interpreting/understanding the web site tagging strategy and technology. Business stakeholders that have a comprehensive understanding of the reporting technology that is dependent upon the tagging integrity.
  • Identifying tagging inconsistencies that have a negative impact on reporting accuracy
  • Identifying data leakage whereby tagging from a short-term vendor engagement like an ad vendor is not removed at the end of an engagement
  • Data inflation from improper tag implementation
  • Monitoring and capturing tagging changes using the Simulations feature
  • Being able to manually audit purchase conversion funnel tagging
  • Looking forward to being able to audit Mobile Applications
Yes
I don't remember what the other vendors were; its been so long ago.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
We needed a solution that didn't require a web site developer skill-set to use that could generate a data output that we could then use to assess the quality of the tagging implementation.
If I could go back in time with the information I have today I would have started with ObservePoint and saved all the wasted time and resources trying to work with other solutions.
  • Implemented in-house
No
Change management was minimal
  • Learning to use the manual audit Firefox plugin
Start with small audits until you have determined what you might want to filter out.
  • Online training
  • In-person training
  • Self-taught
Instructor was knowledgeable and delivered the content well.
It's easy to find the information you need when you need it and it is easy to consume.
Self learning takes a bit more time but it can be done. I recommend getting product training either remotely or on-site as a best practice.
Product configurability is robust and intuitive.
Start out with small audits to test the results of the different features and filtering.
No - there is no facility to customize the interface
No - the product does not support adding custom code
It is possible to create some template type filtering for commonly used advanced reporting.
Support is responsive, empathetic, professional, and knowledgeable.
Yes
Defects are commonly resolved in production in fairly short order.
We identified a defect that was business critical for us and ObservePoint engaged their engineers then developed, QA'd and deployed a fix to production on the same day.
  • Setting up the audits
  • Gaining actionable insight from built in reporting
  • Exporting data as a tab delimited text file so I could import the data into a spreadsheet with predefined macro's to assess the data for quick actionable insight.
  • I didn't find anything particularly difficult or cumbersome when using ObservePoint
No
It's easy to navigate and learn. The reporting and output are intuitive and robust features for finding and identifying actionable insight.
I have not reached an unreasonable product limitation as of yet.
I've only experienced one system availability issue in the 3 years we've been using it.
Sometimes it can get a bit slow when auditing particularly huge sites but recent upgrades in infrastructure have done a lot to mitigate this behavior.
  • Microsoft Excel
We export the raw data using the Full Vendor Export feature then import the data into an Excel Application to analyze the data and produce a comprehensive data visualization.
  • Not at this time
  • File import/export
The export features within ObservePoint are robust.
Start small with high value features then build on that. Regularly query all stakeholders to identify new features to add/grow the integrated solution.
The vendor is transparent and well experienced in managing a mature professional business relationship.
I've seen no decrease in transparency or in how much ObservePoint resources value us as a partner and customer since the initial engagement.
Price, feature additions
All of our needs and requirements were and still are being met and or exceeded.
Yes
There was a small availability impact but it was trivial and we were notified to expect it well in advance of the event.
  • New and improved infrastructure globally that has significantly improved UI and Audit performance.
  • Improved look and feel of the report export emails.
