Odoo is a versatile software that caters to various business needs. One of its primary use cases is inventory management, where users rely on Odoo to effectively track and manage their stock levels. With the ability to store revision changes and Bills of Materials, the software provides a comprehensive solution for manufacturing production orders. Additionally, Odoo serves as an ERP system for HR functions, project management, and sales processes, allowing businesses to streamline their operations.

While Odoo offers a wide range of functionalities, some users have expressed disappointment with certain aspects of the software. For instance, there have been concerns regarding the lack of support and slow response time from customer service teams. Users have also found the user interface to be unintuitive, which can lead to difficulties in navigating and customizing the software. As a result, many users have had to rely on licensed support teams for assistance in utilizing Odoo's full potential.

Despite these challenges, Odoo has proved valuable in various business functions such as purchases, invoicing, accounting, and MRP. Some users have found it particularly useful for CRM, AR, invoicing, customer follow-up, tracking, and quotation management. Moreover, Odoo has been implemented as the main ERP system in departments such as sales, logistics, finance, and support. It has also been successful in replacing other ERP systems like NetSuite/Oracle for managing sales, inventory, purchases, accounting, and webshops.

In addition to its application in traditional businesses, Odoo is widely used by service providers for managing e-commerce websites. They rely on it for backend maintenance tasks like user role management and custom module development. Furthermore, Odoo offers support for server deployment and can assist with website performance optimization.

It's worth noting that while many users have had positive experiences with Odoo's functionality and capabilities, some have encountered issues with basic features and broken promises from the company. Pricing concerns and interactions with company representatives have also been problematic for some users. Nevertheless, with the flexibility and range of features it provides, Odoo remains a popular choice for businesses seeking an ERP solution that can handle multiple aspects of their operations.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Wish there was a -1 or at least a ZERO. IT does not deserve more, unfortunately. I REALLY had high hopes for this, but it got squashed by reality sinking in after having spent a fortune in consultants trying to set this terrible system up. Flawed, unintuitive, lacking ANY intelligence and even their OWN invoicing and Sales Orders they will send you had errors and didn't work..... I should have read the warning signals and the other reviews. Hope you don't make the same mistake. I will do as much as I can to inform others about my terrible experience with Odoo so they don't manage to also take your money and run!!

I would absolutely recommend you do NOT use Odoo. The system is poorly designed and the service is worse. Save yourself the headache, the time, and the money, and go with a system like HubSpot or something more popular. Support is better, UI is better, capabilities are better, and it integrates with so much more than Odoo's attempts at using 3rd party app developers.

Odoo is well suited for vacation and payroll management. It helped the employees keep track [of] their vacation balances with ease. Also, it helped the management keep track of their team's vacations. I think it would have been much better if the user interface was more intuitive and had [a] better user experience.

We can not say how Odoo works well because we never start to use it, but the customer service have to be improved. So the client can have the communication it needs with the company at any time, even if it is in order to cancel the service and to receive the money back. It is just the way companies operate, they return the money within the 14 days after the payment if it is decided to cancel it.

The Odoo tool is easy to learn, use, and customize. with its management of all projects, tasks, services, and business processes. The tasks are always updated by us. The integration between its modules is excellent and facilitates its use. The community is huge and it is easy to find the solution of doubts or technical problems. And the reports are very organized, customizable and easy to understand, which helps us to have a good sense of everything that happens in the organization.

The software is really good for managing inputs and inventory as well as maintaining traceability. The "track picking moves" functionality lets you look into a specific lot or serial numbers and view all the product moves that occurred with that lot. However, some navigation is not intuitive. For example, if I click on an item in the BoM of an assembly, then click the back button to go back to the assembly, the site goes all the way back to the home screen. Some of these quirks mean that there is a learning curve for the software, but overall the tracking is very good.

Odoo is extremely powerful as it provides many applications out of the box. So, getting started on something is extremely easy with Odoo. However, thorough Python knowledge is required to customize or extend Odoo to make your product unique. Hence, if your app requires something special you might have to reconsider the complexity of developing a new app using some other framework, or extending Odoo.

Odoo is flexible but is a generic suite of business apps, it has the core of every business type but is not vertical for special needs. Good news is that you can modify it and make it work for your industry as you wish, and I think that if you use a consultant for the implementation of Odoo in your company, few things can go wrong. In my experience, things go wrong mostly because of the lack of knowledge of the tool. If you get trained and read the documentation, there are a few things you cannot do with Odoo.

As in my case, a whole four departments and their operations/assets are accessible through the system. It is really easy, for instance, to sell the product to the end-user and carry out all the necessary operations such as creating the quotation and easily export the proforma invoice, confirm thesale and assign it to the logistics, etc. All these are done in a really easy way and not a big effort is needed if you are well adapted to the system. What's more, the system is really fast and it does not lag with excessive operations.
