It is used company-wide as our single sign-on for identity. There's not much more to it than that, from my understanding, and this is the second company for which I've used it. I'm not familiar with its other features or if there are other features. But it works for our purposes.

  • It logs you out randomly, usually at the most inconvenient of times.
  • It should probably tell you when its logging you out, tough for customer calls.
It does what it does really well: a single sign-on for customer identity. It's easy to implement and this is the second org at which I"ve used it. However, it does tend to kick you out—we called it "getting okta'd"—very randomly. This can be difficult when on a call with a client.
I haven't used it.

[It's being used for] Maintaining user life cycle management and also identity governance and automated terminations and multi factor authentication. It is also being used for the business to customer registration process. Okta is also used for reporting and dashboards and giving access to the right people and right applications. Okta is also used for password storage and for secure web authentication.

  • End user interface custamization
Okta is well suited for a registration process and getting user information but lacks in customization and forms for a good end user interface. Okta is also lacking a workflow process and customization and notification with workflow and multi level and parallel level approval process. It is good for user life cycle management and adaptive MFA.

Okta is used across the company as the main login page for all other services that we use as internal employees.
  • Dual authentication for added security.
  • SSO for ease of login.
  • Arrangement and categorization of apps.
  • Load speed.
  • Lack of ability to adjust app size.
Okta is great for companies who use a multitude of Okta-compatible sites and services. Okta allows for a single sign-on point and directory for those offerings. For businesses with very few services that require a login, Okta is not necessary.
I have never utilized this service.
