I was not involved in the purchase decision as I was hired after it was in the beginning implementation stage, but the integration with Raiser's Edge, which our school was already using, and the functionality/integration with Financial Edge NXT that we also purchased and implemented were strong factors in the decision.

I was not here when they were making the decision but I know that price and functionality played a huge part. We wanted a comprehensive solution that would create a one-place stop for all parents and students to get information regarding their experience at our school. We are still working towards this.

Blackbaud is a good solution

While I was not part of the decision-making, the buying team was looking for an all-in-one product that would be affordable and sustainable for years to come. There were looking for something that would be user-friendly and have a short learning curve. Usability was an important factor because there isn't much time to train new users.

When I arrived at the school we were using Blackbaud - in the NetClassroom set up - because we had a Whipple Hill website, when they were purchased by Blackbaud we ported our EE data over to Core - the transition was a bit painful, but we have been on it now for quite a few years and find it effective
