OnPay is far superior. I would not recommend Gusto. It was a problem from the start. After only a few months we realized Gusto was unable to provide us with a payroll service we could use. Switching to OnPay has been an excellent move. With Gusto it was one major problem after another. OnPay does it and does it right.

I've also used 3py Payroll/staffing companies. I found those competitors clunky, slower in support, overly complicated, and overpriced. OnPay has been my favorite experience in Payroll over the past 20 years.

While different payroll software options cater to various business needs, OnPay's standout features in terms of usability, affordability, accuracy, scalability, and support often place it favorably among businesses seeking a reliable and user-friendly payroll solution.

ADP Total Source is a way bigger offering and a lot more expensive overall its probably too much for most businesses. OnPay gives you most of the items you need. You will pay a little more for benefits and workers comp insurance but at the end of the day its still significantly more affordable than ADP

I personally did not like Paychex. I found their reporting antiquated, cumbersome, and not easily readable. Reporting is very important to me as it serves as a marketing tool. I can highlight the quality of our services by providing informative and easy-to-read reports. The reports at OnPay can be easily modified.

OnPay is tremendously less expensive and technically superior to Quickbooks in my opinion. OnPay is less expensive and offered the ease of managing a restaurant payroll that was better in my opinion than When I Work. My experience when evaluating all of the payroll products that I felt the company could afford was that OnPay had a superior staff of professionals who knew their product and could explain how to use it most clearly.

Great value and easy to use without a masters degree in payroll. Great customer service, not having to wait on hold or chat for hours in the hope someone can help you.

From employee controls, overall pricing, multiple pay runs per month, tax filings, WC services, ease of platform, and customer support, OnPay beats them in spades. I have worked with PayChex and QuickBooks for years. They are expensive and bundle items which increases prices. They push hard to put you into HR services and insurances that are expensive and cannot be broken out. The sales teams are relentless even after you tell them you're not interested for various reasons. It's beyond irritating and end up hurting their chances with us in future it's so excessive. Both have poor reporting and high system limitations, forcing you into higher bundles for more money. They both nickel and dime you to death when it comes to special reporting or tax filings. Both of their platforms are cumbersome, and took more time to process payroll with them. They were both so bad and expensive, we ended up utilizing an accountant for several pieces.

Gusto was one we researched but never utilized. The main driver was pricing and flexibility of payroll runs without additional fees. When we found OnPay it was a no brainer for us. The other thing we love about OnPay is that it's easily scalable to grow with our business.

Onpay was a "no-brainer" . Implementation, training, and ROI, exceeded all the other platforms we reviewed. Plus their customer support is excellent. You always know who you're working with. Really appreciated all the help we received implementing clients, and great customer service from our client rep.

OnPay is more cost-effective and definitely much easier to use. The login process is much better and easier for the manager and employee. Processing payroll is also easier and more user-friendly. All around a better bang for your buck. This is the opposite of "you get what you paid for."

ADP run was very slow and clunky. It probably has the ability to do a lot but the actual process of entering payroll was not user-friendly and literally took all Day sometimes. Onboarding with Paychex felt really repetitive and sometimes HR would have to enter information after the employees and enter the information themselves and vise versa. Paychex would also allow you to get pretty far into entering a duplicate employee before it warned you the person had already been hired. There was a lot of time wasted because of that issue.
