OpenText the last document reporitory you will ever need.
We are implementing OpenText for the first time as part of its document management platform. It is curretnly being leveraged to store non-SAP business documents. There may be an opportunity to create a workflow for documents that need colloboration and approvals.
- Searching
- Create Metadata to help with searching
- Control versioning you can see multiple versions of a document and can revert back to it if necessary.
- Document management, it has built in house keeping features.
- One source of the truth.
- Methods of applying permissions could be easier, it is cumbersome and tedious.
- Searching algorithms could use improvement, most of the time I have to use the advance search features, and it can be hard for users to result to this method when looking for documents.
- Users are empowered to manage their own content
- Employees are more effecient, not spending a lot of time searching for documents.
- Reduced company liability
