Optimizely Web Experimentation as an all in one platform is great, having the builds and the base data here have been useful. We use it as out litmus test for reaching significance. We have not used this platform to design our tests, only to build the tests we design using other methods.

We are a large corporation, and it can be challenging to implement top priority web projects with so many teams involved. It is also challenging to know whose idea to go with. With Optimizely, I can skip the process and try things without touching the native code (bothering developers) or even push a project until devs can get to it. This helps to get a high value feature out ASAP and not leave money on the table. It also then lets me prove which ideas work, and which don't with real data. So much of what we do as marketers on the web is subjective. Optimizely makes it objective with clean A/B tests.

Having this tool has enabled us to do faster and more frequent testing. This has changed the overall perception of testing internally, and more stakeholders are inspired to suggest/execute more tests. Having a test-forward mentality is crucial to growth. Optimizely helps us collectively stay in that mindset.

A notable benefit we experienced was during a phase where we tested several product change ideas. Using Optimizely, we quickly realized that some of these proposed changes, which initially seemed promising, wouldn't positively impact performance as anticipated. This insight was crucial, as it prevented us from investing further in modifications that would not have yielded the desired results.

I think the personalization and those audiences that you can bring in so you can really tailor an experience to a specific audience that is going to resonate with them and they're going to see the type of language, the imagery, and the either short or long form or details that they need to see given on that kind of audience data that you're able to implement to the platform for that personalized experience. So that's been extremely helpful, especially in the e-commerce space, especially in the financial space and being able to see how our clients are using it.

Able to do more experiments. It's great to have everything in one place. And then again, the granularity of, I run many, many experiments and being able to really see the effect of all of those experiments. Then from my perspective, because I can do so many more and they're so detailed, I can bring all that data into Heap, and then therefore that makes my product that much more.

It's incredibly efficient to be able to use just one platform to organize, run, analyze and track our tests. It saves time and prevents confusion across our organization.

We have both Optimizely Web Experimentation as well as an internally built experimentation platform. That custom built platform is difficult and cumbersome to set up and implement. It requires higher developer overhead. It takes longer to get experiments live. Analysis requires jumping to different platforms or pulling raw data and building reports in other tools like Tableau and require heavier data analyst or data science support. On the flip side, Optimizely Web Experimentation let's you seamlessly move from ideation to experiment build to QA and then results quickly in one platform with less reliance on developer teams and data science support. The reporting interface is easy to understand yet powerful enough for more advanced analysis and segmentation. That said, the platform easy integrates with a number of our other analysis and marketing tools giving us a ton of flexibility and the ability to dive deeper when needed.

We are always interesting in metrics and being able to have the visibility needed to make improvements to our sites. Optimizely Web Experimentation has helped give us that visibility.

For launch and analysis: it is so helpful for us to only look at one report to see key test results. For targeted experiences: if we're testing on Paid Search audiences, and if we want to launch that experience at 100%, it is much easier for us to scale that experience out.

We use outside analytics, because we are looking at some deeper data points that are hard to track and the GA stat is better aligned with our back end data. But the rest of the tool is great, and I love having it all in one place. It makes it easier to find information when there are 20 tests being worked on at once.

It's absolutely fantastic that we are able to make visual changes on the fly, if we need to, from the visual editor. As well as having the code editor, I have not found a use case that Optimizely Web Experimentation hasn't been able to work in, with the exception of exclusionary tests from performance edge. It's amazing that we are able to create audiences, pages, and experiments and then see results all from the same application.
