we use Oracle Cloud Infrastructurefor hosting SAP systems for some of our customers. We faced issues with using Oracle Java. It is good solution when combined with different Oracle products such as Oracle database and Oracle Linux. As it is not a so explored Cloud service, it is normal to come accross some issues compare to other public Cloud Infra service providers
  • optimize for Oracle workloads
  • low price cost
  • get good support for app development
  • more integration features with other cloud services
  • complicated configurations
  • less knowledge posts on OCI to search when facing issues
Best suited with Oracle database with huge loads on Oracle products to be able to optimize Less suited for a layman to come & start using Oracle cloud as it is not among very popular public clouds. The Oracle OCI customer base is very less in the market compared to other public Cloud Infra service providers although Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has collaborations on different scenarios

  • good ways for Oracle workload optimization
  • a bit complicated on Security areas
  • Operational costs are more in compare to other Cloud services as Human interventions are required more & more planning skills needed
We do get Oracle Cloud Infrastructure support for Apps discussions on how we can utilize, but most of the areas in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, i think needs a lot of improvement in terms of more detailing in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure processes & services provided by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure technical blogs are very less & not really mentioned in details in public like other Cloud service prioviders
The services & products in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure needs more improvement to beat other Cloud service providers. The price is good & Security processes are good. We are requiring to put more effort in supporting this Oracle Cloud Infrastructure than other Cloud service providers. Probably better ways are there but is not super easy to find or not super available
Services & Infra wise is ok to use & host applications & services. Security wise also good for a Cloud service provider. It is a interesting area to explore & using it for day to day needs can be further improvised in future probably. Modern day Services like AI and Machine learning could be improved
was not part of initial purchase team. Anyways, i think unit pricing and billing frequency is good compared to other Cloud service providers, when it comes to Cloud Capital expenditure & Operational expenditure. Would be more interested in exploring more options where customers can get more cost relaxations on trying out new cloud services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for example a new App or a feature

We used to implement security (Role-based access control and other security tasks) for our clients. The company used to purchase Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a cloud solution for their legacy migrations. I was a cyber cloud architect for our team. The product was used to address financial systems such as ERP, which Oracle Cloud Infrastructure supported.
  • Strong IAM policies
  • Good Oracle Support
  • Easy to use
  • Location based access control
  • Casb is new and weak
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has strong security hardening policies. However, they lack a few actions that clients require. They do not provide very strong customizations. It may also lack a few services, such as cloud guard, although a good product but not a very good product since it lacks few services.

  • Great security measures
  • Strong analytics features
  • Saved money with cloud migration
Support has always been great, especially during production cutover. They are always responsive whenever we need them. However, to get this level of support, you have to raise it at level 1 priority since for level 2, they become a little less engaging. But overall, support is good since they know how to deal with problems.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a great product. Although, as compared to other cloud services, it lacks a few features, it is a very good product that is easy to use, and it was very easy to train our clients in this product. Therefore the product is highly recommended to use for the clients.
The professional services for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are good. The SLAs are amazing, and the team has very good support.

We use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for WAF and CASB in one of my client environments. The scope of the use case is to have a product in the cloud and not on-prem. This works well with the management of cloud WAFs.

It is well suited for a business that wants to enable certain key features for Security, Observability and Management, and Compliance.

  • cost
So far the rating is fair as I have always had good interactions when it came to supporting.
I like it despite cost
I chose this rating as I see to feel it is a tad above average when it came to meeting or exceeding what I needed in my client organizations.

I was not 100 percent involved with the contract and pricing negotiations.

We use oracle constantly for our expense tracking needs. We have set up a process to expedite the approval and coding process. This has helped us save time organizing receipts and expenses to validate amounts.
  • Speedy loading.
  • Helpful hints.
  • Easy storage.
  • Autonomous guiding is more user-friendly. The setup is kind of complicated but the use afterward could be cleaned up.
  • Custom application database usage could be more accessible.
  • Security for applications to improve or update frequently. Lots of breaches and changes lately with data protection.
We have used oracle cloud-based solutions for 8 years and it has been very good. We had a cyber-attack recently and our files were protected. We are lucky to have security but we need to switch more applications to oracle. We are hoping as we integrate more fictions that they all work together seamlessly.

  • Positive, combining multiple functions for a large company has been very smooth.
  • Negative, security updates and training would be more preferred.
  • Positive, cloud based is best for recovering data that was almost breached.
Overall it is amazing, there is always room for improvement. We have weekly updates that tend to slow the program used more and more. We had to change some reports within Oracle because the others wouldn’t load. This is tied to our payroll and the delays are causing many time constraint issues and panic. We have to create a new report when one breaks. Otherwise awesome!
Mostly usability is good, the reporting is the issue we have most right now. Once that is fixed, this would easily be a 10 rating.
Very good, I’ve used about 3 other similar programs. My current company is the biggest and uses it more frequently.
Most likely not, I think the price makes sense for all the effort and support the program provides. There are some things that need to be updated but no program is perfect.

Improves dynamism and time to provisioning in highly changing environments. In addition, the benefit is obtained economically by being able to provision computing units in a flexible way both on-demand and automated. On the other hand, being able to deploy virtual machines in lift and shift mode is tremendously convenient for infrastructures that have a very strong dependency on legacy systems.
  • Load balancer as a service
  • Dynamic OCPU Auto Provisioning
  • Integration with VMWare
  • Network layout
  • Improve integration with other hypervisors, apart from VMWare
  • Expand list of supported Operating Systems
If the client has a need to dynamically and automatically manage the provisioning of computing power in Shapes that he has already created, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is more than a viable solution because it reduces the cost by more than 40% as well as the time invested in it. On the other hand, in environments that have a high interaction with Oracle systems, the answer becomes more evident by the elimination of certain dependencies.

  • 95% improvement in dynamical provisioning
  • 60% reduction in billing compared to Azure
  • Over 35 regions around the world, and expanding
Service level agreements have very high standards, ensuring high availability and support from the Cloud Operations team.
Most of the navigability and actions are quite intuitive based on infrastructure knowledge, giving the possibility of replicating environments that exist on-premise with cloud capabilities.
