Oracle Dyn Email is a product that is being used across our entire organization. Almost every single department in our organization sends bulk emails outside of the organization: whether it is to suppliers, investors, consumers, or website visitors. We needed an interface to efficiently manage all these composed emails, and time their delivery. Oracle Dyn Email allows us to achieve this goal.
  • Setting up Oracle Dyn Email is hassle-free and easy.
  • Customer Support responds quickly to our queries. They are usually able to remedy our problems and queries within the first email.
  • Insightful Analytics Post-Delivery. We are able to see whether or not users decided to open up our emails, and tweak our email headers accordingly.
  • Email reporting functionality is fairly basic. Would like to see more advanced analytics implemented in the future.
  • UI is outdated. The look of Oracle Dyn Email hasn't been updated for a while, and it isn't very appealing to use. In addition, navigating between options is fairly slow.
  • Integration with third-party email templating engines like Litmus would be nice to have.
Oracle Dyn Email is well-suited for organizations that need to create, manage, and analyze bulk email campaigns from existing email templates. If your organization's business objectives are fulfilled by the out-of-the-box features of Oracle Dyn Email, then it is a perfect solution for you. On the other hand, if you think you will be needing more advanced features, I would suggest looking for another solution.
Customer support for Oracle Dyn Email is very responsive. We usually get replies within a half an hour if not earlier. It is clear that the support team is experienced with the product due to the amount of time it takes them to solve all of our problems. We are fully satisfied.

We use Dyn Email to deliver both transactional and bulk newsletter communications to end users.
  • Easy to set up API
  • Basic reporting available
  • Advanced reporting and troubleshooting
  • More user-friendly portal for power users (easy to switch between subaccounts without losing information, direct URLs, better reporting visualization)
  • Simplified support ticket submission process (less manual input, like my e-mail address, etc.)
The tool is relatively well suited to send mass e-mail campaigns that require little monitoring and have a straightforward setup.

Less suited if there are specific edge cases or a complex setup. Monitoring and contracts with inbox providers are not very transparent/have overlaps. Delivery and reputation handling in this scenario do not have a clear owner.
Some questions or requests may go amiss. Keeping important stakeholders in copy of communication is something that is not guaranteed and there is no way to assure this at time of ticket creation.

Oracle Dyn is used to send email communications to our users, on the B2C side of the business only. It helps us keep users informed of announcements relevant to them on a daily basis. Engineering is the only team having direct access to the tool but marketing is involved as well in its management.

It is a good tool to send email through engineering, just as a sending pipe. Not a good tool if marketing wants to have a platform to build templates and segmentation themselves.
Support hasn't been really needed but the account manager is always responsive and helpful

My organization uses the DYN email to send email for a variety of political campaigns from small local races, to statewide, and national organizations. All lists are from different sources and have different user needs. Our email use stays low in the non-election years, steady through most election years and then spikes quite high in the last 4 months of the election cycle.
  • Very good deliverability monitoring
  • Highly responsive support staff
  • Very easy to set up and integrate with other services.
  • I did have some difficulty diagnosing some of the issues I was having with one major ESP
  • The user interface can be slow and is outdated
This platform is well suited for a large volume email sender with a dedicated ESP provider for formatting and database management. It is not a system used to manage a database or code emails.

A less advanced user would be happier in a MailChimp type system, but they would not have the deliverability that you can get with this system.
We have had to use the support tool a few times. Each time, my initial question was answered quickly, and follow up were dealt with directly by the same person, not put back into a queue for someone else to pick up. Good team with a good sense of what you are asking (even if you are not the most technologically advanced user.)

Oracle Dyn Email is being used across our organization, allowing us to email under a number of domains and departments. We are staying current with our site visitors and marketing targets with our system.
  • Easy to setup by unique group and approved senders.
  • Quick reporting.
  • Easy to retrieve lists to allow us to maintain our lists.
  • Setup has some nuances you have to get used to. Documentation is not laid out intuitively.
  • Still not sure if we have it fully optimized, it works and works well, but wonder if it could be done a little better.
If you have a higher volume of e-mail each month, with multiple departments, and lists. This is a strong performer in getting your email delivered. It is not an email creation solution, this is for delivery of composed emails.
Account reps check in to make sure things are running smoothly and always offer to get us in touch with support if we need it. I wish DIY documentation was stronger.

It was being used by one department and it addressed our need of being able to send transactional emails. While there are a lot of systems out there and being experts with email we could identify many solutions, but due to the fact that we use Oracle and Dyn for several other solutions, adding in this solution was a no-brainer.
  • API Automation - Really simple API so that we could set up automation quickly. Our development team really appreciated that.
  • Shared & Dedicated IPs - Depending upon sending volume there are benefits to both approaches and having that flexibility is nice.
  • Post Send Intel - After the send, having detailed metrics is critical and this platform does that particularly well.
  • No Webbula cloudHygiene - While Dyn's consultative Reputation Management services are nice, an integration or partnership with Webbula.com for their cloudHygiene services would provide helpful insight into the reputation problems in our list BEFORE we hit send.
  • More Frequent Checkins - I would have appreciate more frequent personal check-ins (not automated emails) from the Dyn crew.
  • More Reporting - While Oracle Dyn does a good job of reporting, more details for advanced users would be better.
If you are comfortable with APIs and want a platform that is easy to integrate into your workflow, then Oracle Dyn Email is a great solution that offers IP flexibility and good reporting. However, if you are having data quality issues, you will need to find an additional partner to identify the toxic emails prior to hitting the send button.
As you'd expect from any professional solution, the support from the Oracle Dyn Email team is top notch. Though there is a clear separation of knowledge between the sales and technical teams which sometimes creates a little bit of "red tape" and duplicate meetings in order to get the right person on the phone, but nonetheless, the support is above par.
