One of our customers wanted to move to Cloud solutions from an in-house server and setup. After careful review, the recommendation came from the team to select Oracle Product Hub as it was supported by Oracle global support team, and easy to set up and migrate to the cloud. During the transition team worked closely with the Oracle support team and also third-party vendors for the integration of the application suite.
  • Easy to understand pricing model
  • Tools for integration and migration support
  • Good technical support
  • Regular updates process can be made bit better.
  • Integration plugins with other Oracle products can help integrate other Oracle products with lesser deployment costs.
Oracle Product Cloud is best suited for transition to cloud with complex architecture and scenarios where lot of integrations are needed and there is need for data migration. Might not be helpful in scenario where the setup and scale is smaller. As in that case there are lesser cost options available.
  • Well designed dashboards
  • Product search based on various attributes
  • Product comparison features
  • Configurable rules
  • Helped in faster cycle for migration from in premise to cloud
  • Lower Maintenance cost
  • Faster releases
None. No other product was evaluated in this case.
Very good support by the Oracle team. Right from the start of selecting the product, pricing, implementation, and later on post-implementation support is very good.
Yes.
No
1. The Oracle team was always on top of what they committed. Whenever there were interactions, they were always ready with solutions, and without any follow-ups, they responded with details and appropriate solutions.
2. Support team was willing to understand the issue at hand and if they did not have instant solutions, they always told that and then came back with an appropriate solution

  • Reduce costs overall.
  • Increased productivity.
  • Increased customer satisfaction.
  • Increase in product movement.
  • Needs a set of training to familiarize the product dashboard.
  • Not easy to use at the first time.
  • Unable to edit the catalog at some time.
We use Oracle Product Hub Cloud to manage our supply chain and increase productivity. This is an awesome tool to manage our customer database and reduce unwanted costs of product management and shipping. The way this tool is designed is really amazing because we can create a product easily and we can streamline ERP and our supply chain.
  • Reduce costs in overall.
  • Increased productivity.
  • Increased customer satisfaction.
  • Increase in product movement.
In simple words Oracle Product Hub cloud is easy to set up and configure, we don't have to depend on anyone to set it up. It's that super easy. But to operate them we need to have proper training and needs to complete the essential certifications. But compared to others it's easy and will help in the business a lot more than others.

A low cost, Trusted solution from Oracle that empowers the product development, Supply Chain and ERP omnichannel commerce initiatives through best practices of data management principals, It provides a single, best in class, master data management to deliver master product records that threads business process including cross chain, Compliance, Product Introductions and supply chain.
  • Ease of Installation and Deployment, Navigation, and Ease of Use
  • Requires optimized infrastructure compared to other tools
  • Can be expanded quickly as per the need
  • Makes my work more accurate for data management
  • Application is web based so if the internet is not stable, It may Lag a little
  • A lot of frequently upgradation patches, Please reduce it to some extent.
  • Customer care services is pathetic, Customer needs to be improved.
While considering it as a solution, it is the value for the money, as well as it is easy for the users to understand and to operate for end user it needs a little bit basic training, However duplicate entities are eliminated very accurate, as In my personal expertise, it is more convent application as compared to other applications of same domain
  • It is budget friendly and trusted solution
  • Easy Configuration, Easy Navigation, Easy to use.
  • Users can use the product with one demo, So operational costs are saved
While considering oracle Product Hub Cloud, the most thing which attracted me toward it is that it provides a single, Best in class data management to deliver master product record that threads business process including cross chain compliance product introductions although it hasn't built a cloud product that the general market is looking for.

As the product owner of analytics and insights tools, I was invited to the implementation and test phase for Oracle Product Hub. It was supposed to address the product master data management challenges we had while working with our recently acquired merchandise company. It visualises product data and provides analytics for better prioritization and timely decision-making. On-boarding a product company with products ranging from clothing to small items as souvenirs is always a data challenge with incomplete meta-data and visual asset mapping etc. Product Hub Cloud was particularly useful for our supply chain and operations team. My role was more around looking after the analytics it offered and working with teams to get them the best out of the system.
  • Visual analytics
  • Data quality checks
  • Product comparisons
  • Metadata management
  • Front-end/UI
  • Implementation
  • Aftersales service/customer education
Personally, I think Oracle's product hub is well-suited in the e-Commerce domain where organisations may deal with thousands of products every day and product management efficiencies are directly linked with their market performance. Also, the product works well if you are already using the Oracle cloud suite but it has issues working across the board if you have a different cloud-based system for your business. The implementation, in that case, can become painful and long.
  • Improved supply chain efficiency for our merchandise division.
  • Improved data quality through auto categorization.
  • faster vendor and partner on-boarding.
I wasn't involved in product evaluation for Oracle Product Hub.

Use it for HR (great), some sales and some document content delivery to manufacturing. It is being used across the corporation. Low cost option for delivering content to a large number of view only users.

We're using three modules: (1) HR, (2) we're putting documents as a repository, which supports supply chain, and (3) sales data.

From a user perspective, the HR module and how the data is presented to users and managers, it's very easy to use and very well organized.
  • Hr functions are very good from a manger and organization perspective. Good presentation of employee data and hieracrhy.
  • Document content delivery is average to below average. Would like it to be simpler for users.
  • For simple document delivery I would like to strip the screen down to far fewer fields and tabs.
Keeping the company current with the latest rev is both a blessing and a curse. It is hard to handle quarterly updates being in a medical industry but it is also a problem when we upgrade every five years, missing functionality and making the upgrade process enormous.
  • too soon to tell
We are only looking at Oracle products at this point since we currently use eBusiness suite
