It is used across the entire organization to provide services to multiple systems both internal and external. The Oracle SOA framework allows for easy implementation of just about any type of service that a business could need. Business rules and data flows are easy to implement with this world class suite of products. While there is a bit of a learning curve to people new to SOA it is well worth the investment.,SOA Suite when combined with Oracle ExaLogic will get you the best performance and reliability. Even without ExaLogic Oracle SOA Suite is the best of breed n the SOA space. Once you SOA Suite is in place and your developers are trained in developing services you are able to develop new reusable functionality quickly. Oracle SOA Suite provides Business Activity Monitoring that gives you a real time look at you business and the processes that drive it.,The biggest problem with the Oracle SOA Suite is the installation and configuration of the product. There is much room for improvement here. The startup time for large implementations could be improved. The development and deployment lifecycle could use some improvement.,8,When developing a new application you can start with a good percentage of the application's functionality already built and available to the developers. This reduces the cost to implement new applications or rework existing applications. In early stages of a SOA migration you will not see a very good ROI but if you stick with and you development team embraces the SOA architecture ROI will increase over time. To get the most out of the early implementation of SOA the first services you should implement are those that are used in most applications.,,Oracle Database 12c, Oracle BI Foundation Suite, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control

EAIESB has implemented several implementations using the Oracle SOA Suite. We have worked with various versions of th Oracle SOA Suite (10G, 11G, 12C, and ICS). Most of the implementations we provide are integrations between customer on-premises systems, external systems, and trading partner management.
  • Integration with ERP (Oracle, SAP)
  • Integration with Databases, FTP, SFTP, Banks
  • Integrations with Trading Partners using Oracle B2B (X12, EDIFACT, HL7, RosettaNet, HIPAA, OAGIS)
  • Integrations with third Party Service Providers (SOAP/REST)
  • Implementing GPG/PGP Encryption
  • Speed and minimal installation efforts
  • System is becoming heavy by providing several features
As middleware implementation provider, we have recommended the Oracle SOA suite for migrating Oracle acquired products like (SeeBeyond, ICAN, Java CAPS 5, Java CAPS 6). Its B2B supports an EDIFICES tool to customize messages and prepare custom messages to support COBOL in copybook format.

Oracle SOA Cloud Review: "SOA Suite helps expand service capabilities"

Oracle SOA suite offers a unified platform for developing in several major technologies. It has allowed our developers to create decentralized applications throughout the application utilizing multiple powerful technologies. It has expanded the solutions they produce to be more flexible and fitting for the problem at hand.
  • Quick to learn the basics
  • Harnesses multiple powerful technologies including Weblogic, JDeveloper and the Oracle Service Bus
  • Allows the creation of flexible muti platform solutions
  • Previous 11g releases are not as unified and streamlined as advertised
  • Learning curve to building intricate solutions can take significant time and investment
SOA suite is well suited for any company running multiple components from the following list: Weblogic, JDeveloper, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and JavaDB. It allows seamless development utilizing one or any combination of these components to create powerful services. It is not well suited for companies [only] utilizing a single one of these technologies.

Oracle SOA suite is well suited for most business processes but real-time systems such as MES systems are at the mercy of the processing speed.
