We at JomaSoft use the Oracle SPARC Server for our mission critical applications. The servers are a very stable and are used as a long term solution. Our servers work well even if they are more than 10 years old. No need to replace every few years. We love the integrated Virtualization solution "LDoms" to consolidate our workloads.

Cons

  • The price could be lower.

Return on Investment

  • SPARC S7 servers are an excellent replacement for the SPARC T4 server. Around the same price, but double the performance.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We shopped around for a server for our cloud computing and storage as well as on site server capability. Oracle had the best bang for our buck product and their implementation and support was #1. My IT team had no problem setting up the in house server and integrating the cloud for our enterprise customers and executives. The great thing about these is you can scale up or down without having a lot of downtime. Great product so far!
