  • Very easy from an administrative perspective to setup a gateway / load balancing.
  • Extremely fast connection speeds for launching published applications.
  • Flexible security for deploying MFA to targeted users. On competitor's software, it is an on or off setting that applies globally.
  • The client UI for launching apps could use an overhaul, a tabbed approach with favorites or recently used applications would be better than a listing of all published applications.
  • GPO option to lockdown the client interface so that settings are persistent from an administrative perspective.

  • Replacing the old RemoteApp idea
  • Everything can be on one server, so no need for an extra domain controller
  • Branding the software with your own company style
  • Some site-to-site functionality, so the server can connect directly with the company
  • Protection on the RDP, HTTPS ports, with blocking IP on multiple wrong logins

  • Simple RDP / Application access
  • Setup is a breeze compared to competitors
  • Simple layout for management
  • In constant development
  • I feel it could give more options in the Parallels Remote Application Server client around connection settings
  • Personally not a fan of the default settings applied to some settings
  • Parallels Remote Application Server tenant broker could be better sign posted

  • Parallels Remote Application Server provides access and published applications to specified users or groups via Active Directory user or group privileges
  • Parallels Remote Application Server provides on the fly remote access via HTML5-Gateway
  • Parallels Remote Application Server provides remote printing service to local printers
  • Although better since v18 connecting to local resources (e.g., HDDs and similar) could be faster.
  • As far as we know, HTML5 access cannot be limited to certain users or user groups. Anyone who knows how it works can use this access as long as they have user privileges for our system. It would be nice to be able to configure user privileges for the feature.

  • Security
  • Very easy to install, configure and use
  • Plenty of options to publish apps (client, HTML5, mobile apps etc.)
  • Frequent updates
  • Great support team
  • Third party integrations (e.g. Google Authenticator)

  • Bring back per-user exclusions on Deepnet DualShield integration!

  • Simple and easy to use interface
  • Establish virtual server connection from mobile devices
  • Access restriction based on the user roles
  • On demand auto scaling of resources
  • Auto provisioning
  • Support for multi factor authentication
  • Need more options for MFA to be integrated other than Active Directory
  • Sometimes the remote connection freezes, and the session terminates unexpectedly. There are minor glitches that have room for improvement.

  • Printing from published applications.
  • Easy to set up and keep running.
  • We would like to be able to do what we do with Citrix published ICA files—essentially free-standing configurations that once ran function like a local application while they log in (in the background).

  • Cloud based, no software to install for users to access the HTML5 interface.
  • Simplicity of install. Very quick/easy to get up and running in minutes, not hours or days.
  • Constant development. Always adding new features, improving existing features and efficiency. They also listen to customer needs.
  • Active directory dependent. Would like to have other options for authentication outside of AD. Can use SSO with Google, etc but still needs to verify the user against AD for permissions.
  • There are a log of group policy options that can be used, some directly Parallels related, others Windows OS/Terminal Services specific. Would be nice to have a collection or guide of best used GPO options for performance, security, etc.
