What is PatronManager?

PatronManager is a nonprofit CRM that handles ticketing, subscriptions, fundraising and email marketing built on the Salesforce platform. PatronManager enables users to leverage ticketing, membership, and patron engagement history to drive fundraising. The user can automatically send confirmation emails with templated, customized responses as contributions and gifts come in. And scheduled reports help track ticket activity and notify the user when VIPs are attending.

Also, PatronManager’s mobile-responsive ticketing experience ensures patrons can buy tickets on their mobile device wherever they are. Users can customize and brand mobile pages to match the organization’s website, so patrons know who they are doing business with.

With PatronManager, the user can leverage ticketing, membership, and patron engagement history to drive fundraising. Gretna Productions Inc globally uses PatronManager as an organization for our CRM software, ticketing platform for performances and for fundraising. Each department has their respective uses for the platform, however, due to the multi-faceted resources available in the system, we are able to use simultaneously and see each other's work. PatronManager allows us to sell tickets easily virtually, and allows us to connect purchase history with giving history or vice versa.

  • Affordable.
  • Reporting features are difficult to use.
  • Built for orgs that have IT management, challenging at a small shop.
  • Not easily customizable.
PatronManager is probably best for a larger organization with a dedicated technology expert because a lot of the features require someone to understand the back end a little bit more, especially when you need help (and a lot of the webinars or feature releases are way over the average person's head!). Data mining becomes frustrating because the reporting features are very backwards.

PatronManager is very user friendly on the ticketing center and its easy to train new employees on this side.

  • PatronManager has less ticketing fees associated, enabling audiences to up their purchase with an add-on donation that we get to keep.
Raiser's Edge is the Ferrari of CRM software - it's beautiful and there are so many great features for all levels of giving, however, unless you are at a huge organization, this is a little too much. I loved using Little Green Light for its intuitive user friendly platform, but does not have the ticketing capacity needed to seat a 700-seat theatre, for up to 30 productions a year.

PatronManager was the product that was best value for what we were getting for a small organization.

We use PatronManager in our Development, Marketing, and Box Office departments. The platform provides accessible CRM capabilities in a user-friendly interface. Reporting across departments is seamless and easy to accomplish with Patron Manager's intuitive user interface. Support is readily available from PatronManager staff at all times. In addition, as this is a Salesforce-backed program, we have access to the wide variety of third-party plugins to integrate with our system.

  • Support requests are handled quickly, and the annual user conference offers special training and in-person demos.
  • I would like to see more features for fundraising gala planning + execution integrated into the system.
PatronManager is a great tool for building and managing your donor and ticket buyer lists, allowing you to leverage your collected data with custom reports and campaigns.

The PatronManager user experience is far superior, and custom report-building is the easiest I have ever seen on a CRM platform. Pricing is also competitive, and customer service + support far exceeds other platforms I have used in the past.
