Less than a year with Paylocity and still learning and testing.
- clock in
- direct deposit
- answer any and all question I have
- Clarity of the app, it seems very basic and rough compared to other companies such as adp
- case manager should know more about how to use the website instead of just being able to sell it
- not such a quick log out of the website due to inactivity
- more consistent processes
- reduced costs
- easier to pull up employee information

Worth a try!
- Quarter-end reports are grouped together and so simple to pull and print out.
- Their Time & Labor time clock is extremely simple to use.
- Super quick response time to emailed questions.
- There is a nice Org Chart to see all employees and who they report up to.
- Starting a payroll batch is complicated especially the Merge function.
- The Pay Entry screen puts asterisks and you have to go to the details page to view.
- Too many different screens to go to, when adding a new employee to make sure they have the proper access.
- The system reduces errors because the employee enters a change, and then the manager approves the change.
- The Org Chart is great for a view of all employees and where they fit into the company.
- Paylocity's fees are fair and consistent with what we were paying prior vendors.
- The transfer of time sheets from the Time&Labor module to the HR&Payroll module is simple and definitely a time saver when processing payroll.
- The Audit feature is great at catching any possible errors before the submit payroll step i.e. multiple checks for one employee.
Their automation for the most part is good.

Paylocity Review
- Processing payroll for 900+ employees became a lot quicker with Paylocity; once time was approved by managers you imported the batch and processed.
- Entering data was very easy and user friendly
- Uploading employee paperwork into their profile is the best
- Maybe some improvement on the badge number situation. If possible, Paylocity could work on something so that when you enter a termination date the badge number goes back to the employee number automatically
- Setting up security roles for reports was a little challenging, it works, but took some time
- Better customer service. Employees were able to access information on their own
- ADP eTime,ADP Workforce Now,QuickBooks Pro,PeopleSoft Financials,Workday
While I was asked what I liked about Paylocity, the payroll manager had the final say so on making it happen.

No specific skills necessary, as long as you attended all the training classes you were able to support Paylocity, it's so user friendly.
- Time & Attendance with WebTime
- General Ledger
- Accruals
- HR module
- Employee ease
- Implemented in-house
You're assigned a Lead Implementation rep. he/she will do a work plan/timeline (they have an awesome process)
You will then have weekly meetings to keep you on task as to what everyone (in-house & Paylocity) is doing and where everyone should be by "go live" date (everyone is held accountable)
You will have a team of implementation reps. to guide you through all of your processes for GL, Accruals, chart of accounts, new hire templates, benefits, etc.
- General Ledger was a huge issue for us; this took a little longer than expected because of all the parties involved but in the end it was worth it
- Vacation Accruals; starting in the middle of the year was a challenge; so unless you plan on entering current employee balances and having the accruals recognize from "live" date; I would suggest a clean start, January 1
- Benefits verification
- uploading time from WebTime into Web Pay
- approval process of timecards can be done from any location as long as you have a computer or smart phone
it was great, if my managers were not in the office they could approve time from their phone.
employees could use the mobile interface to see paystub information
