I have been using PDF Xchange to create, modify, and manage PDF files for many years. PDF files can be created via the print driver or direct integration with many applications including Microsoft Office and Outlook, AutoCAD, and BricsCAD. Periodically, I look around to see if other tools are a better fit for our workflows. PDF Xchange continues to impress.
  • Seamless integration with Office Tools, AutoCAD, and BricsCAD
  • Powerful editing suite of tools to markup and share PDFs
  • Power API for extended capabilities
  • There have been a couple of instances where I struggled to locate a feature that I thought was missing. A quick reply from support staff usually help me find and understand the feature better.
PDF XChange Viewer and Editor does not include the quantity and estimating features found in Bluebeam Revu. If you do not specifically need them, PDF XChange is a much better solution for PDF creation, markup, and management. It also costs a fraction of Bluebeam.
  • Powerful and complete set of PDF creation, markup, and management tools.
  • Tight integration with our critical applications
  • It is fast, intuitive, easy to use not requiring any additional training.
  • The support staff is fantastic responding very quickly to queries.
  • PDF XChange costs around $50-75 per person depending on the version.
PDF Xchange hits a sweet spot for me and my users. It is powerful, includes a full suite of creation, markup, and management tools. It is very affordable.

Bluebeam is too much that isn't print and PDF related. It is EXPENSIVE ... more than $300 per person before almost mandatory additional training.

PDF Creator is good for PDF creation. It doesn't include markup and management tools.

We are using the application within one department. It used to add specific fields on some PDF forms. It saves money comparing with other solutions and works reliably with no errors.
  • Intuitive an easy to understand interface
  • Fast
  • Good value for the price
  • Improve a bit the interface
  • Add a first usage tour
If you'd like to switch from Adobe to a less expensive and more robust solution, you can choose PDF X Change.
It does everything other expensive solutions do. We are using it to add some additional information on scanned PDF files and Sign them and it does it in a simple and easy way. You can use to combine multiple files into one, creating PDF from different resources.
  • Saving money on licensing
  • Saving computing ressources
  • Saving time on training
Better price for single licenses and user packs.
The application had no issues (we did not contact support) and that's why I give a 10.

PDF Xchange Viewer and Editor is our main default PDF program throughout our team and company. It's extremely easy to make edits and add headers and text boxes when marking up a PDF. For my team that does a lot of assessments, scheduling, and coordination, using an intuitive program like PDF Xchange Viewer and Editor makes marking and making notes on a PDF a breeze. It addresses the issue of not everyone having Acrobat DC on their computer, and it makes even the least technical people able to use it.
  • Easy to edit PDFs.
  • Easy to add headers and text boxes.
  • Fast, no lags.
  • Have the ability to add a little more customization (like font sizes in Typewriter tool, etc).
  • Have the ability to export individual pages into separate PDFs.
  • Have the ability to easily resize.
PDF Xchange is easy to learn and use. It's well-suited when documents have lots of visual information and require headings and comment boxes throughout the page. We mainly use PDF Xchange for PDF editing and making up notes. It would be useful to use it to edit text documents, but I find it better suited for marking up documents with lots of visual information.
  • Positive: Efficient because it's easy to learn, saving training time.
  • Positive: Adding comments and editing is a breeze, saving peer review hours.
  • Negative: We still have to rely on Acrobat DC to export individual pages into separate PDFs.
A license and an Adobe Account are needed for Adobe Acrobat DC. PDF Xchange is easy to get it up and running without any of the login information. It saves the hassle of having to be bogged down by Cloud features and other features. PDF Xchange is simple, free of promotional distracts, and easy to use.

Performance wise, PDF Xchange Viewer and Editor is flawless. It runs fast, and I haven't experienced any immediately crashing. The reports save quickly, and the document size is never an issue. It saves into a regular PDF, and we're able to open it on any other program or computer. All text boxes, features, and headers show up flawlessly on other programs.
It's easy to use, making it very efficient for us as we do not have to train additional people on how to use this software. It opens up documents quickly and saves quickly as well. Overall the usability is not an issue for us at all. It is also extremely easy to integrate it with other PDF programs.
One strong point of PDF Xchange Viewer and Editor is the ability to add text boxes, headers, and other relevant features. When I first started using it, I was worried these graphics/text features were not going to integrate well with other PDF viewer programs that I was already using. However, it saves flawlessly and I'm able to open up the same document on other programs and found that these graphics integrate seamlessly.
