What is Perceptive Content?

Perceptive Content is a scalable content services platform that manages the entire content lifecycle, from capture to disposition. Perceptive Content aims to transform internal processes and the customer experience, boasting functionality across multiple business applications, integration with virtually any business application and a simple-to-use interface. Perceptive Content helps users work smarter by surfacing content in context with other relevant business information. Digital documents can be viewed simultaneously, to promote enhanced collaboration and communication among employees, customers and vendors. To improve customer satisfaction and employee productivity users can locate relevant documents in the context of a business process. Automated lifecycle management helps organizations comply with their records and retention policies, to reduce the risk of compliance violations that result in fees and fines.

Features

Document imaging and capture
Document imaging provides structure to unmanaged content, and this structure is necessary to make processes more efficient and people more productive.

Document management
Organizations rely on business-critical information found in a wide variety of file types. And without the right system to manage this content, one of the biggest barriers to productivity takes over — the proliferation of unsecured, untracked, unmanaged and redundant content. Perceptive Content enhances information accessibility, promotes organized collaboration via workflow processes and secures content in all its forms. And as users across an organization create, edit and maintain documents using any desktop application, they can apply version control and library services directly from a variety of interfaces, including Interact applications and web services clients.

Search
Perceptive Content offers saved, ad hoc and integrated search options to make locating key information simple, straightforward and quick. Users can rapidly access the information they need and then take action — completing a task, solving a problem or advancing a business process.

Eforms
Eforms enable the online entry and collection of raw data that is accessible from web pages, mobile devices, portals, and software applications. This information can be incorporated into business processes to automate steps, validate data accuracy and support application transactions. Eforms simplify electronic data capture, so users can gather the information needed to simplify tasks. Customizable forms can be used by employees, customers, and also non-system users can complete and submit information.

Records and information management (RIM)
RIM in Perceptive Content is part of a process and content management framework that supports the entire lifecycle of important business content — from capture and retention to archiving and destruction. Customers across all industries can apply the Perceptive Content RIM functionality to operational processes like those found in human resources, accounting and contracts management.

Users of Perceptive Software commonly recommend the following:

  • Thoroughly test new modules before purchasing licenses. The demo provided for eForms can be misleading, so it is important to thoroughly test any new modules before making a purchase. This will help ensure that the software meets your specific needs and expectations.

  • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing. Users advise negotiating favorable terms and pricing when choosing Perceptive Software. This can help in obtaining better outcomes and cost savings. Leveraging in-house expertise and resources can also contribute to more successful implementations.

  • Map out needs and processes thoroughly before implementation. To avoid additional changes and work later on, users suggest mapping out needs and processes thoroughly before implementing Perceptive Software. This will help identify any potential gaps or areas that may require customization. Taking this step can lead to a smoother and more efficient implementation process.

Additionally, it is recommended to consider the costs of implementation and the ability to build future solutions autonomously when using Perceptive Software. Users suggest asking about the functionality included in the price to ensure there are no unexpected costs or limitations.
