I use PerformYard to create and track employee goals. We also utilize it to give recognition to employees. It is extremely useful to keep up on employee anniversaries. My favorite thing about this platform is the ability for employee reviews. I love that the employee also does a self review, alongside the managers. The ability to track productivity and maintain open communication is wonderful!

  • The goals function can be a little tricky. I have a goal of zero, which looks like it is incomplete.
In a thriving cannabis industry, there are multiple working parts. Having one platform that all departments can utilize, is priceless! Different departments can seem somewhat unconnected, this brings us all to one place. From a human resources standpoint, this is a game changer! We had multiple spreadsheets to track employees, and PerformYard has put it all in one nice neat little package that is easy to navigate.

We use it for self-evaluations and for performance reviews by our employers. Within my scope as an employee, I am able to write a self-evaluation and review the evaluations of my employer. It is a very helpful tool as it allows room to go in-depth about how we are performing and the standard we are meeting.

PerformYard allows us to easily schedule and process evaluations. We have a standard form for semi-annual evaluations and the Feedback feature allows each person to record notes throughout the year that can be shared or used for their own reference. Some find it difficult to see what is due and the automatic reminders do not always reflect that an action is needed by the user.

PerformYard offers a consolidated space where leaders can input organizational goals and cascade them to teams and people. As a user, I can also add in my own personal or organizational goals that impact the business goals. There are flexible ways to set goals and track progress. A feature that I enjoy most, is the Feedback feature. When you encounter a coworker or peer who deserves recognition, you can submit it on their behalf and choose who to publish it to. I really enjoy celebrating and highlighting accomplishments of the people that I work with.

Our company uses PerformYard to engage it employees by providing surveys to get feedback regarding metrics and improvement plans. We also use it to rate the company's top executives and leadership performance. I personally like how easy it is to use and the confidentiality it provides to users in order to gain accurate data.

Well suited for Schools, Hospitals, Retail companies, Technological giants and legal firms for accurate and constructive feedback. It would not be a good use in small firms where communication is more effective in-person. Overall, it is a very good software for use in many organizations where it is imperative to get feedback without losing employee confidence.

Our company adopted PerformYard to solve the long standing problem of inefficiency with Performance Management. Our old process was a manual paper process that presented several problems but the main being: Bottleneck of routing for the paper reviews, and the cumbersome process to track reviews and execute them to the authors.
  • Customer Service! The service support is unmatched compared to other vendors! Our rep is nothing short of amazing with her timeliness, helpfulness, and ability to navigate the issues we encounter!
  • Streamlining automated reviews - Effortlessly send out a whole years reviews in one sitting!
  • Auto updating from our HRIS system - Automated SFTP integration with our HRIS system to auto update employee fields and keep the system up to date with less manual process!
  • I would like to see there be more functionality and customization with groups and review assignments
  • Reports are a bit hard to get at first, more easy on demand reports would be helpful
PerformYard, in my opinion, is well suited for any environment where performance management is actively happening. We are in the manufacturing industry and many people here thought that this type of electronic process would never be accepted or adopted. Today we have FULL participation and buy in from all those people and more! This software has revolutionized our ability to perform reviews, efficiency to get them done and delivered to the employee, and taken the burden off HR of having to juggle getting these out to authors every month manually.

My organization uses PerformYard for our yearly reviews. We get to go in and set goals for ourselves to accomplish in the upcoming year and then our supervisor gives us feedback, is able to give us a performance evaluation, and then we are able to review and sign off on the review.

  • Able to add comments to your performance evaluation and talk with your supervisor about it right on the website.
  • It's very easy to use for me and does everything I need it to do.
For me, I am someone that gets more out of writing things down and being able to think about what I want to say, and I am able to do that on PerformYard. I like not being by myself while getting to read my performance review and learning where I need to improve things and what I need to work harder on. I am still able to comment and talk with my supervisors if I need to.

PerformYard really helps streamline the feedback loop between management and all other employees. Very easy to use and adds value. We schedule monthly 1 on 1s as well as quarterly and annual performance reviews in it in addition to everyone tracking their personal goals. It always loads fast and there was minimal training required for people to know how to use it because it was intuitive.

If you manage KPIs at all or work in sales, then this is a great tool for standardized feedback and management. In our business, we are using it primarily to track metrics surrounding sales and accounts payable performance. We use PerformYard primarily for conducting 360 reviews and for goal setting. One of the problems with the previous system was the lack of review transparency and the subsequent inefficiency with trying to share and collaborate on input, feedback, and goal setting/progress. PerformYard greatly improved review productivity with a simple option to elect what team members, supervisors, and managers had visibility to.

  • Excellent goal setting module for input and tracking
  • Don't really need to have multiple team member selection options in the dashboard. Would be more efficient to drill down from the team member selected rather than have to scroll through the list amongst all other team members data files.
  • Would be nice if contributors could also opine as to the perceived level of performance for the person they are commenting on, i.e., unsat, sat, excellent.
  • Those are my only issues at this time.
PerformYard is superior to the last two systems we've had. Conducting quality reviews can be very time consuming and it's nice to have a tool that increases our productivity in that area.

We use PerformYard to track employee goals and yearly reviews. The company's various managers use PerformYard to track the goals for members of their teams as well as self/manager evaluations for yearly reviews. In each case, I also log in to participate in the goal tracking, filling out the self-performance review as well as reviewing my manager's performance review of myself. We do all of this in PerformYard.

  • Very customizable to fit company's need(s)
  • Would love to see an integration of PerformYard tools with MS Source Control (visual Studio)
  • Integration with DevOps (goals, etc)
In a larger group structure, when there are multiple teams, PerformYard really shines, helping organize productivity and tracking of things. However, I have worked in very small teams, with just a few people total, and in that case I would think that PerfomYard would have less of a positive effect.

PerformYard is used to create our yearly reviews. This includes our goals and thoughts throughout the year. It is extremely helpful in keeping track of what I need to get done throughout the year. I also like that I can look back at the previous year(s) to be reminded of what I was rated on and how i did.

  • I don't like the percentage portion of the goals. It took me a while to understand how to navigate that part of PerformYard
PerformYard is wonderful for keeping tabs on your goals throughout the year. You can set up daily, weekly or monthly reminders to take a look at your goals. Emails for documents that need your attention are also distributed in a timely manner. It's very easy to use, aside from the percentage portion of the goals. That is my only dislike of PerformYard.

Our organization uses PerformYard to do our semi-annual and annual performance reviews. This product allows our upper-level management an easy solution to assess individual performance of team members. PerformYard gives an easy to navigate platform to keep track of performance and allows us to keep track of goals set for the year.

  • I would like a text box to be able to explain the multiple-choice areas for my reviews. Would help to give context.

I think PerformYard is appropriate for companies looking for an easy way for management to complete performance reviews. It also provides an easy way to make sure their team members are staying on top of the objectives and goals that were established at the beginning of the year. This would not be useful for companies who don't conduct performance reviews.

We use it to complete our monthly scenarios. This tracks our performance reviews. We also use it for performance reviews.
  • The reminders that it sends out.
  • The user interface is not friendly and not intuitive. When submitting a response to my monthly scenario it says you are missing 2 responses, but those responses are for the supervisor to fill out not for the employee to fill out.
  • The system is not practical in the sense that it requires so many steps just to locate a scenario that is finished or pending to complete. So the employee is left to figure out if it’s completed or not. There should be an area to say Complete and only have the window for those that are missing.
  • Have a better source of managing the scenarios. Improve on the titles of the headers. If it’s completed say Completed. It doesn’t have to be such a mystery.
It’s probably better off just serving as a file upload/tracking system. Not to actual complete assignments.

This unique site helps keep our priorities and company alignment together. With all the moving parts in our business model we need a way to recognize and notate all the data, experience and resources we continue to develop. Through this site we can capture that data and use for new customers while also updating responsibilities and goal setting trends.
  • Easy to use format navigating through setting your goals and credentials for the year in advance.
  • Ability to control your own business plan and easily update the progress made through out the year.
  • Communicate important successes or failures all in one place where you, management and upper management can see and respond to quickly.
  • Connecting multiple sites where information is stored to the progress you are updating with the PerformYard site would be beneficial. Less work doubling efforts at times.
  • Attachment options on your goals would give you a quick place to use for a reference. For instance, goal to increase sales by certain percentage annually could benefit from an attached document showing those number increases with 1 file attachment.
PerformYard when used appropriately can give you all the resources needed to provide what you have achieved in the course of monthly or annual tracking. You can adjust your credentials as work shifts and keeps you in line to meet the demands you or management has set for you. Great tool to show and highlight significant individual or team achievements.

Used to track yearly job performance as well as create goals. Helps track progress made toward goals and sends regular notifications. Allows for me to rate my job performance and compare it to how my manager rates my performance. The biggest problem this addresses is communication! This allows for much more clearer communication of both the good and the not so good. Has a nice flow!

This product is fantastic for the field of consulting where very detailed or not so standard jobs are required and feedback is given based on the performance at those jobs.

It is less well suited for those jobs where there is a standard metric or performance level not requiring specific unique tasks.

Our organization uses PerformYard for staff performance reviews and evaluations to measure job performances, if improvements need to be made, goal progression, goal creation, manager/staff relationships and more. The business problems that PerformYard addresses include not only staff performance, but the progression and improvement of staff goals, staff input, which allows management to get a better, more detailed explanation of the performance of employed staff in order to determine strengths and weaknesses, as well as encourage employed staff to be more vocal with their contributions to their job.

  • Some questions seem "repetitive," maybe cut down on the number of questions that seems very similar.

It has given detail step by step process from end to end in HR related things. The most helpful part of PerformYard software is to create goals and provide team and individual recognition. Properly showing appreciation for your co-workers is critical for building and maintaining relationships! I am looking forward to see if my team feels the same way once they login.
  • We could take a manual paper-based review process and get everything into the 100% customizable platform of PerformYard
  • PerformYard houses the data for us instead of tracking those things down and getting them in a file.
  • It allows for a one stop shop to track any and all positive and negative criticisms which helps me be a better employee.
  • I think folders that I could organized my forms into myself would be beneficial as well as the ability to flat out delete unwanted items.
  • Add in multiple deadlines that would be helpful- as in Employee Section is due on this date, then it rolls to Manager which has its own due date
  • Found that submitting goals was a bit tricky. We were able to complete them, but it took some clicks around to figure it out
It is an online system that we were able to use to create our evaluation forms. Once our HR person triggers that you have to do an evaluation of someone you will receive emails reminding you that you have to do it. In addition we can set them with due dates. Telling managers that they are being evaluated on making sure they give staff timely evaluations has really helped getting them to do them. In our first year some of the managers got "dinged" for not providing feedback to their staff and they were not happy about it. Now it isn't a problem. In addition the "quick feedback" is a game changer.

We currently use PerformYard to manage our goals for our individual departments as well as the company as a whole. We will be rolling out regular use of this early next year. Our current usage of PerformYard is to give shoutouts to our employees who go above and beyond the call of duty, those are are cool, nice, friendly, or just deserve some kind words of appraisal. It is a great way to boost morale and synergy between co-workers!
  • Allows company to acknowledge the extra effort employees put in
  • Allows us to manage and track our goals
  • Allows us to have a better idea of where our resources need to be allocated to meet future goals
  • Have the option to stay signed in or have a "remember me" button. Having to manually enter in all credentials every time is a little tedious.
  • The option to create your own to-dos would be helpful for self management as well as tracking things that don't need to be considered a goal.
  • Give us the option to have more in depth creation of goals, such as allows us to to hit a combined sum of things in order to reach a goal. IE, handle 500 total assets across 3 different methods, but instead of needing to reach a certain number in each field, we just need to have the total sum of 500.
So far, PerformYard has been an excellent tool used to give feedback to our employees as well as our employers as well. It makes the process simple, and the fact you can do it whenever means that the recipient of the feedback can go over it whenever they have free time. No need for interruptions! This has been great for keeping clear, more specific communications with people in such a way that our bosses and employees can all easily see in one place.

PerformYard provides a very user-friendly interface that allows employees and their managers to be on the same page about the goals, performance and scope of improvement. The major business problem that it solves is that it helps the reports and the managers aware of each other's progresses, blockers and hurdles. Thereby effectively increasing transparency and maintaining the hierarchical integrity.

Performance feedback for the various functions of the organization as well as self-performance management. Employees use it to provide feedback to the various support functions of the organization while also leveraging it to do the half-yearly and annual performance reviews as part of the appraisal cycle. The toll also provides features like goal setting, self appraisal as well as gathering feedback from multiple managers

PerformYard has allowed Mascaro to transition to a performance development model, focused on the ongoing dialogue between manager/employee, in addition to goal development & achievement. We needed a platform that enabled our users to integrate performance into their routine, capture weekly, monthly or quarterly updates as it relates to progress towards goals, and infuse a sense of ease into all processes.
  • Platform build and implementation were a breeze thanks to our customer success manager; he was accessible, responsive, and hands-on throughout the entire process. As a one-member HR department, this was necessary for its success.
  • The platform is laid out in an organized and aesthetically pleasing way. Many platforms have so many buttons and items clogging up the white space; this platform does not.
  • Goal Management - goals can be set at review time or independently, and are accessible in between review cycles. It's fantastic and allows managers or employees to update as frequently as they like, specific to progress and completion.
  • We would love to be able to build a form to replace a paper log of all development items our employees are responsible for completing. If we could digitize this form, within our performance platform - PerformYard would truly be a one-stop-shop.
  • The feedback function is great! However, take it a step further and allow the tracking of points given by managers for a job well done (almost like a recognition program)
  • We like the org chart function, but different layouts would be great! Printable too.
PerformYard has worked well with our population and the needs of our employees in the construction industry. There's a simplicity to the system; however, it has the bells and whistles needed to facilitate the review process and goal management requirements of the size of the company. Administratively, it has provided increased efficiency in creating and closing cycles, creating new forms, and editing old ones.

We use it for setting goals, annual and mid-year performance reviews, evaluating and tracking the progress, and giving feedback at the same time. It is very easy to update new employee information, edit data, and extract information. It is one of the most user-friendly and cost-effective tools in the market.

  • Selecting the dates for 30 days of feedback and 90 days of feedback should be automatic, not manual in PerformYard, also review a month should be based on the start date automatically, and then we should get an edit option if required.
For performance management, it is well suited, whenever I assign 30 days and 90 days of feedback it's very easy as I can assign it to more than one employee. Also, multiple users can use it simultaneously with the same credentials and make changes in real-time.
