Planful allows us to build specific permissions for each department to help them automate tasks while not having vision of areas they shouldn't. We are able to build out reports for other departments to assist them in their monthly duties and save them many hours doing repetitive tasks each month.

Most of our companies were using their local GL's for their internal financial reporting. Once we showed them how to use report collections, where one report can be run for many different variables, such as department, business segment, etc, our subsidiaries started using Planful for their internal reporting. We also have each of our subsidiaries update their forecast on a monthly basis, we can easily compare this to our own internal forecast so we can collaborate together to see how things will shape up for the future months.

Budget owners can now see the details that drive spend across departments and entities. This has led to better understanding of cost structure and ROI. Finance and budget owners now look at the same live budget templates, rather than passing excel files and worrying about version control, saving hours of check time.

Planful allows us to collaborate on financial plans within the finance department through it's dynamic and structured planning modules. We have many users throughout the organization that use Planful to input and complete their annual budgets as well as monthly forecasts. Planful also allows us to publish and automatically send MTD, QTD, YTD, and LTM P&Ls to each of our individual entities each month after consolidation is done.

Our operational leadership have been granted accounts, and some of them dive into the central repository of reports to find the information they want before needing to go to their respective supporting analyst. Planful also enables quick analysis of strategic initiatives in addition to streamlined reporting to view trending productivity and profitability by business segment.

We currently only use the planning module to consolidate the plan. Detail planning is still done within the local companies' ERP as well as cost center reporting. Summary level plan data is then uploaded or entered into Planful.

It has allowed me to have access to much more data at my fingertips, rather than having to ask others in the organization to pull together reports for me, or spending a lot of time piecing them together on my own. The integration of Payroll information, with appropriate controls and visibility limitations, has made a significant difference in the ability to do real-time scenario planning.

I was able to set up our hierarchies to mirror what our home office accounting department requires/uses. This gave me the ability to easily export a dynamic report that I created and literally email it to accounting when they request forecast updates from our department. Also, having the ability to push financials and workforce planning out to our managers on a regular basis, pushing them to review variances, etc. without the need for excel side spreadsheets has made my job as IT Controller so much easier and has also given our users a peace of mind when using the tool.

The reporting capabilities allow us to share data with multiple departments. We have bi-weekly management meetings where almost all reporting is pulled from Planful (forecast updates, headcount trends, workforce changes, budget updates, etc). We also can run reports for other departments based on the attributes we use in Planful (i.e. Employee work location report, YTD travel expenses, etc).

Planful has made it easier to gather information in one place and keep it up to date, especially the HRIS system data. Depending on which system you integrate with this can be a difficult process to get things up and running. The extra data gives us the option to say more yes to more complicated forecasting and reporting asks however it does come with the extra bit of knowing how to maintain the system and setting guidelines of what can and can't be done. Collaboration can be a bit tricky as multiple users cant be in the same structured planning templates at the same time but the commenting system is great once you have established rules on how you want to use them.

It does a good job in gathering all the data from various units. My company has a dozen units and Planful is used to gather and consolidate all the data into a single reporting format. Drill down function can be improved somewhat. Certain numbers can't be drilled down which is one of my main complaints.

Just by being able to produce so many reports so quickly, Planful has saved our team then time of generating manual reporting so that we can shift our time towards actually working and communicating results with the business .

There are multiple ways that data can be collected and disbursed to business units. The ability for users who are in different areas of the company to run the same report simultaneously helps eliminate unnecessary requests and speeds us the process to get data to employees when the need it.

Planful lays out what our possible costs are, and seeks out to address avenues for how to manage these costs across all departments and consolidate this into planning that is growth driven. Planful gives a real time look into what we budget for each departments and what we are actually driving through as our actuals comes. Giving us historical views while we adjust the present for an excellent business future.

It's enhanced my ability greatly as the information that comes from Planful, and the analysis, helps inform business leaders in my organization, who then take what I give them to inform other business partners within our organization. It has positively changed how we do FP&A, and I don't even want to imagine what we were doing before Planful.

Planful has enabled collaboration up and down the finance chain, with review occuring at multiple levels, with "subledger" to the budget available. We do not currently use it outside of Finance, but has definitely enabled collaboration across 50+ entities within finance and accounting.

I really only report our department's finances to my budget administrator in the Dean's Office. He is the one who looks over and approves my forecasting/reporting, then sends it over for final approval to what would be considered the university's finance department. My budget administrator does work with me when I have issues with budgeting and making certain numbers work.

As a financial business analyst, I collect the data from the business teams and do the upload into Planful or manually enter the Opex details besides the employee details. We haven't used Planful to collect data or share with the business teams so that they can be self efficient to do their own forecast such as entering or uploading their employees billable hours forecast yet. If that happens, it will save the analysts time and do more analysis.

Department heads and sales leaders can log in and update their planning templates and then click save and the roll-up is pretty much there depending on the level of manipulation post contributor the finance team wants to leverage. Furthermore, they can then view the submitted data in reporting with more context in terms of historicals, etc.

With the use of report collections in Planful, we are easily able to create department specific reports and distribute them in a number of different formats to those specific departments. This is all done automatically within the reporting module, even down to emailing the specific planful users. Planful has also allowed us to visual the financial strengths of each departments with the use of dashboards. we are now able to direct department leads to key performance indicator dashboards and allow them to see a visual representation of the reports they receive.
