  • Huge return on investment with time savings compared to manual / hand take off.
  • Accurate and reliable numbers to use for your team.
  • Creating a single take off for all parties to use, in a single location, removing all guess work or confusion.
  • Inspires collaboration by having multiple people work within the same project within the software.

  • A large set of paper drawings is quite expensive. With PlanGrid, we only have the time uploading them.
  • When a foreman needs to refer to the drawings, he pulls it up right where he is. There is no need to go to the truck or to another location where the drawings are.

  • Positive: without PlanSwift, we would be stuck utilizing Bluebeam or antiquated methods of QTO. It works. It CAN be simple.
  • Positive: pricing. You buy uy it once and you own it.
  • Negative: assemblies are difficult to use and not intuitive to users with more basic computer knowledge.
  • Negative: the interface is outdated.

  • Very good return on investment. Has helped save and extrapolate dollar value allowing for detailed viewing of the plans and mark ups.
  • Saves time for our Territory Managers by not having to do take-off by hand and on site and rather focus on customer relationships.

  • The positive impact is that it has simplified our quantifying process and also helps keep records in a great way. The Project Managers can access a file from years past, and check the items they need to, as opposed to a personal long hand take-off done by someone which has the chances of getting misplaced.
  • We don't use this for pricing purposes, so we haven't had much return on investment there.

  • Has paid for itself in next to no time. Not only can I produce takeoffs in a fraction of the time, but I'm always discovering new building products to add to the library.
  • The minor drawback is the time required to set up your library of items in the first instance, like any new software, but once you get over that little hump you'll be laughing.
