Planview AdaptiveWork's built-in reporting capabilities are more than robust for the average organization and well equipped even for large organizations. It comes with many out-of-the-box reports that will get any user started on understanding how to pull information out the system. Additionally, the ability to create so many custom items in Planview AdaptiveWork multiplies the flexibility of the tool to a point where if there is anything between a tiny detail to a large over-reaching concept you want to understand, Planview AdaptiveWork's reporting can provide you with it. BUT, the real flexibility comes from the available add-on tool, Data Warehouse Export, which creates a seamless connection to Power BI giving you the option to create a nearly endless level of reporting capability on every item in the system.

We track completion timelines for milestones, hours worked vs. hours allocated for specific projects and resources. As a leader this helps me coach my team members to use their time most effectively and perform at their peak. This helps move projects forward as smoothly as possible with the least delay.

Reporting and dashboards are endless, if you have the field you can report on it. I can say enough about this, I can get lost in reporting and dashboarding. I have not run across any reports or dashboard request that we could not produce. I am looking forward to getting into the enterprise level roadmaps.

We are still learning how to best use dashboards and reporting. It isn't the most intuitive part of the system and the dashboard layouts are pretty limited. Visuals go far with our stakeholders and I really wish the dashboards were more customizable.

Yes- we use dashboards and reports to track project metrics, resource capacity, utilization (billable and non-billable), and profitability. One of the major quantitive benefits we've experienced is the ability to use rate cards / roles to track true profit margins by department (ProServ, PMO, MS), geographical region, resource role, individual resource, individual sales rep, individual customer, and project.

Reporting is a core strength within the application. Every user has the ability to create or modify reports to meet their departmental needs. Dashboards provide portfolio views of project health and state which can be viewed at virtually any level across the enterprise.

I pull the data from all of our teams to determine what the project stream is. I connect this data to other data collection items to be able to compile cohesive information for on project. We pull data from multiple systems to be able to create a single views for reporting.

We use the analytics to run the financial check and balance for our projects. Management meets weekly on the revenue and cost forecasts and monthly we True up the Adaptive work forecasted revenue to our accounting system and discrepancies are reviewed in detail. This ensures that our forecasts are accurate.

As a business with limited resources, it is pertinent that our resources are utilized to its maximum capabilities. For that to happen, the directors as well as senior managers need to have visibility on all projects and all the resources that are being utilized so they can identify the redundancy and allocate the resources to the correct projects for better results. The dashboards are very helpful in achieving that goal for visibility.
