  • Incredible ROI, especially with the new licensing of just using one PowerApp. Update your navigation to include multiple apps and release this to several users who only need one or two of these. For model-driven PowerApps, this is a huge win.
  • If you break up your PowerApps or if users are using several, you will have to be more careful about your licensing. But overall, there is so much value and power, I would encourage spreading out the ability to create and build PowerApps to more and more users to get full value out of the tool.
  • Again, learning PowerApps isn't for the faint of heart. You will likely have to invest some time figuring out several things, but I promise, the effort is worth it.

  • It has given us a focal point for development. We now have the possibility of connecting to mobile and the default SharePoint online interface isn't always easy to manipulate. PowerApps has given us an opportunity to improve our user experience.
  • An improved user experience has given us a better shot at compliance. When users don't fight the environment, they don't gravitate towards workarounds or non-compliance.
  • As lists and libraries change, the platform scales pretty well.
  • Having users with the capability to create their own forms and tools has dialed back the app dev need (there is a balance though) and distributed power to the process architects and people who actually need the solutions in the first place—much more efficient model of service delivery: self-service.

  • Freed up time by passing mundane tasks on to the end user.
  • Very quick turnaround on some of our simpler requests by end users.
  • Programmers aren't the only one who can use this. A quick class and most organization employee can create their own.
  • Can empower the end user.
  • Works across platforms and form factors.

  • My budget calculator enabled our sales team to provide a high-level quote in minutes compared to hours or even days if we had to draw it out.
  • My time tracker was used by a department to estimate the time taken on projects and therefore they could quote the billable hours up front.
  • There has been nothing but positive impacts from my use of PowerApps.

  • I am still developing my application but assuming everything works the way I have laid it out then PowerApps will help us to turn a 10yo marcro-powered Excel workbook with mostly static work-flows into a streamlined and less mistake-prone workflow while utilizing a single database.
  • The application will allow us to access dynamic project information in the field via tablet. Previously this could only be done via phone call or email.
